  1. I can t post vids from work.... someone post that vid of M Brown slaloming on snow!!!
  2. sorry for the ignorance... what are these for?
  3. This might be a silly question... but who even watches ESPN? I get all my football from DAZN app. I know the older crowd (myself included) feels that a network coverage would add legitimacy to the sport. that being said, I far prefer the TWBC where there is 100% coverage as opposed to a saleable 30min digested version for a network.
  4. cable is dead.... I absolutely love the format by TWBC. By skiers for skiers. the online format is easy to stream and forward to any television.
  5. not sure with these newer boats but we always used graphite string, wrap around the shaft and reset the nut that secures the packing... took about 4 min to do
  6. I think it is set up that way now! the divisions imply some acknowledgement of ability. Jr. Boys and Jr. Girls are not competing against the best males or females in the world. they compete against individuals of a similar age/ability (to an extent) similar size, age, strength, etc. as well us old guys do not compete against the best males and females in the world. We compete against individuals of a similar age/ability (to an extent) similar size, age, strength, similar beer belly etc. in any sport there are the outliers which is cool to see
  7. host local events.... unsanctioned fun tournaments... bracket events!! I do not think you can change state, regionals, or nationals as this is were the best of each division go to compete to better their standings. Pro events really create that separation you are talking about...
  8. I had been in a 4 week slump and getting really frustrated. I did a video coaching session and within one set was back to matching my PB for the season. the suggestions were based on my sets submitted and after watching again were really evident. well worth the time and saved me a ton of frustration
  9. Hey all UCFskier here. I skied with the UCF team back in the days when they had a strong showing (Rossi, Schaefer, Swanson, Meridith, Gayton, Kenny Atour, etc). moved back to Saskatchewan and now work in a Federal Prison. when not staring through bars I am thinking of good ole emma lake SK. located in Saskatchewan Canada. 40 min north of the last city.... Prince Albert. I still train with some of my original ski buds from the younger days. we try to ski every weekend on Chiefs bay, getting as many runs in as the weather (seadoos) allow
  10. do you have a link?
  11. I have both.... recently upgraded to the CF barlock.... such a great handle. very grippy and stable.
  12. that was basically my point @MarkTimm its a slippery slope and honestly our sport has enough built in delays without adding spectator input/ability to sway outcomes. I heard Nats are going awesome!! big fist bump to BENNETTs for stepping up!
  13. bad calls happen in all professional sports.... video is used... Im just saying judges should not be influenced to go to video based on home viewership or individuals on the shore. chief judge should initiate a review based on a grievance
  14. agree with most above. Home observers or ppl on the shore second guessing a judges decision is problematic. like any other sport sometimes the call goes your way (other times not).
  15. have you tried the radar binding? good support and the bungee style laces release when needed....
  16. Great lake to ski at and awesome neighbors!! I dont live there but have skied there and met a few of the residence!
  17. You can resume some water activities after just one week of your Lasik eye surgery, and within a month, all water restrictions will have been lifted. After One Week: You can go swimming a chlorinated pool. Be sure to wear goggles. I would wait the 1 to 2 weeks and then go with goggles on to protect eyes from spray....
  18. Ive put a few ppl on the Lyric. great ski
  19. hang on longer with 2 hands into the turn. Biggest error we see is ppl let go and then start the turn. initiating the turn with 2 hands on will have the ski roll over onto the turning edge.
  20. looking for the photo bad boys of waterskiing??? it was John Swanson, jim Clunie, and Scott Ellis I believe...
  21. this was such an exciting time in waterskiing.... I was not even a jumper and seeing these guys all crushing the 200 foot mark was awesome!
