  1. @buechsr I agree there are some great skiers out there. I think the profile of these skiers has changed like @jcamp said.
  2. I would also suggest that back in the 80's and 90's pros or high end skiers kept skiing until the natural conclusion of their careers. we now see top skiers retire once their collegiate career is over. skiing is expensive and does not pay the pros what it use to. once school is done its time to find work.
  3. @Jody_Seal "@UCFskier yea but only one of those 24 ppl could run 41 off. the rest were banned for life. there in lies the hypocrisy in all this.." been saying this since day one.
  4. @ForrestGump you can choose why your taking (or not taking) SS. Either way there are no sports moving forward with out this. if your bummed about it go talk to the 24 ppl who violated policy since 2018
  5. very odd to follow the logic in many of these arguments. since 2018 24 complaints in waterskiing. sounds like 24 too many. I urge all the skiers on here who do not want to do the SS course to simply say no. good for you! now the rest of the ppl who wish to limit the liability our sport faces sign up and do SS very easy do or do not..... no one really cares
  6. @Hippylow get the best ski you can afford. if you out grow the ski U can sell and put that sale towards a bigger ski! keep rippin the course and having fun man!
  7. i skied between a senate pro and vapor this year... I ended up sticking with the Senate. Would you say there are significant changes between the 2 year old and the current Senate?
  8. gloves are a disposable item. I would say that nothing you have shown limits the usefulness of the glove. if you bummed about the tear take it to a seamstress to chuck a stitch in it.
  9. @ColeGiacopuzzi nailed it on the head. This has been used by pros for ever (in all sports!)
  10. @scoke agreed however, the attainment of fundamentals sometimes requires the modification of variables external to the skier. many sports use this as a means of attaining skills. Not as a crutch or "I beat you" attitude
  11. if you find yourself in a slump or plateau a slight decrease in speed or a mini section to the line can really help in developing or reestablishing the feeling you are looking for. This does not suggest you become reliant on the change in variable to run the pass rather, it allows time to lock in that feeling. do a couple back to backs until it's right then go back to regular speed!
  12. @slalom frog i dont think its an issue of ML being a good line or not.... its the fact you have some dude Big Spray coming on and anouncing the new Z-Line while simultaniously running down S-Line.... come on man... just poor form, bad marketing (if ML asked them to do it) and very transparent... double thumbs down
  13. IMO there are a lot of better vests out there than the Eagle. just tried a new Radar Impact Vest which really feels like an upgrade from the Oneil I was on. try the Radar or the Stokes!!
  14. Im no rocket surgeon but it seems both Z line and Masterline have the same address... 700 W. Bay St. Winter Garden, FL 34787 must be the same company... good to see they are lowering their prices
  15. it cool Masterline decided to offer better pricing on their ropes (no matter the name).
  16. sounds like a friendly guy to buy an overpriced boat from
  17. Hey all is there a central site to review ski homes/lots for sale? just looking for an efficient way to find some locations! thank
  18. @dave2ball I have to admit I am a bit confused with all the boat companies sponsoring surfers and boarders. I would venture to guess virtually no one on my public lake could name a surfer or boarder.... so how does having them as a sponsored rider help the company??
  19. @LeonL @foxriverat great thinking.... once his new S-Line shows up we will give that a go on his old rope. just incase he gets any fraying he will have his new rope on hand
  20. honestly what has me thinking of switching is a buddy of mine got a knot in his new Masterline rope (which wont come out and likely has weakened the rope) Hes having to buy a new one at a cost of $200 (ouch) this has me liking the idea of a much more cost effective solution
