  1. and yet here we are celebrating him as an athlete in no other sport would this fly
  2. @ScottScott you sound disappointed with his actions? people generally get to move on when they recognize how their actions are wrong and admit they should have done differently. how do you forgive and move on when he has not asked anyone to forgive the actions safe sport found him in breach of? (food for thought... I honestly was not trying to piss you off with my hypothetical scenario) @swc5150 I think a lot of official laws were broken (hitting someone) however none were sent to trial.
  3. @ScottScott just based on your age range.... hypothetically speaking... you are ok with a college graduate getting a back rub and sex with your daughter in grade 11? Just checking to see if that is what you were looking to move on from?
  4. Do you feel like you are trying to "Death Grip" the handle? Try moving the handle off the palm and to the fingers. As well I noticed it was a lot easier to hold an anti-roll handle.... just some thoughts as you sound like a pretty strong person to begin with.
  5. Hey! go to your local running store and get fitted for a generic foot bed. surefoot is one I use in my DH ski boots. works great
  6. oh man... I had no idea it was that bad.... I thought it was he hit someone... had no idea it was a sexual assault.
  7. @The_MS there are also cases where athletes come forward to report
  8. if you like the radar boot and want to up grade get the vapor boots by radar. they are a hybrid style and offer great support and release from hector crashes...
  9. with the increase in cases involving adult coach/athletes and youth there needs to be some form of action. doing nothing is not a strategic approach for lessening the liability our organization will face. everyone on this board/forum is well aware of the not too distant sanction which was levied against one of our sports top athletes (right or wrong not looking to argue this one again). so what should a governing body to protect the competitive sport from being sued into non-existence? seems like a small price to pay for piece of mind and protection of the sport.
  10. bylaw was called on our neighbor for having free range cats they are now behind a fence
  11. fin block looks sweet!! Have to ask.... I know a lot of design goes into a total ski... to have the base flow into the tail and for everything to work in conjunction with all other aspects. is it possible to have one base design work with 3 different tails? I look forward to you review @Horton
  12. once a ski exits warranty give er a shot at fixing it yourself.... 2 part epoxy, clamp and some sanding..... as kids we always fixed our own stuff, delam, stripped holes, rubber edges coming off jumpers!
  13. looking for a jobe open class and a carbon V if you got one
  14. I get it! I dont think we should or will get rid of the traditional events, however we have considered doing bracket events, like we did when we were kids (like dollars on the dock). you ski against yourself, closest to your PB wins. this allows everyone an equal footing and the ability to ski against newbees to pros
  15. @RazorRoss3 I believe skiers can opt up into more competitive age brackets if they choose to do so. You just cannot opt down into less competitive brackets. Im not sure if grouping based on boat speed (adults at 36, seniors at 34) will make it more fun for ppl as they will be getting whooped by top guys.... or maybe Im reading it wrong
  16. dude what year is that ski? looks a few years old and regardless of use I would say it lived its life regarding warranty. if you are wanting to keep using it I would get some 2 part epoxy, seal the edge and clamp to dry. lightly sand any excess after dried
  17. If you cant see... you cant ski I have used contacts skiing since the 9th grade. only time it was ever a concern was if it was raining out. if the spray bothers you a bit get some cheap safety glasses with rain-X on them. works great!
  18. yes yes yes!!!! every level of skier will benefit from coaching at a ski school! from personal experience the schools I have attended and worked at welcomed all level of skiers! and just because you go to a school does not mean you have to ride in the course... get out there have fun... learn something new and enjoys the sites of the community you are skiing in! I love the orlando area for vacations... or check out east TEXAS like the austin area so much to see and do
  19. as soon as I read this it got me saying Senate by Radar. great ski, responsive, forgiving!!!
  20. we turned the fin tip to tail on a team mates ski for a joke.... damn near set a PB... left it that way for 2 more sets till he realized it kind of sucked. Im not saying go switch your fins but great skiers can ski on most anything I was going to say something about coaching again but Im sure ya all are sick of me saying: coaching > equipment > sweet board shorts
  21. totally agree @LOTW im in Northern Canada and it is difficult to get coaching all the time. we have a few sites with drivers and coaches to access but now days I primarily use video. have you sent your video in to the pros that do critiques? I found that is a pretty good bang for the buck. got me out of a slump this season
  22. @LOTW I agree it is awesome to see new product coming out and advancing the sport.... I hated Perfect Pass when it arrived but in the end it has helped all our skiing. Fins are a bit of a different bag... many believe the fin will help/fix their skiing. I think (from experience) we should first work with a coach to optimize our technique and form. I really dont care what ppl spend money on I just suggest best bang for the buck is always coaching
  23. if ya took the $300 and spent it on coaching it would allow you to progress much further than any fin. As @Horton said "its all been done before"! No fin will make you a better skier... coaching will
