Hey all was super stoked to see S Lines at the most recent pro event. Has anyone gotten some time using them? Think its pretty cool that they are small batch, high level of quality control, and reasonably priced (less than half of the competition). looking for your thoughts THNX

for sure... I thought it was pretty interesting! I wonder if at some point all the major companies will be at all events allowing athletes to pick a boat. at least that way they would be allowed to challenge records without consequences. Great Job LAKE 38 and TWBC!!!!

Im not say they "could" under the rules rather in a pro event they can set or create rules. no rule say they have to stop before each attempt at the ramp,,,, but on lake Robin its a great idea!! this should be something they consider for next year

@dave2ball they are saying pending review. allow him to continue into 41 due to issues with the review. if after he skis they are able to conclusively say you only achieved 5 at 39, nothing at the 41 pass would count. I agree.... not cool to sit in the water that long. what if they determined he made 6 at 39 and sat that long??

just did a quick search. golf and tennis professionals do not pay an entry fee for pro events. professional dart players no longer pay for entry to professional events dating back to 2018. Bowling does still have an entry fee for its competitors. not sure why the multiple LCQ's are so expensive?? will the next year LCQ's be held at different sites? or does Natique have a deal with these owners and the entry fees?

@buechsr so Malibu will be stepping up production on their waterski boats?

New spots in production go to the highest selling/revenue boats. None of the companies are in it simply for the love of the sport. $$ becomes the bottomline in decison making.

I see there are alot of likes for the @2Valve comment but be carefule what your stoked on. if they can ban wake boats they can ban all boats..... this has been the discussion at the RM meetings for a few years now

@Shell I agree... I live on a chain of 3 lakes near a national and provincial forest/park. For years the RM has been trying to ban boats, but more recently wake boats. the thing is the ppl with wake boats tend to be high earners who pay high property taxes.... Im actually glad they have not banned them (I dont own one) as I get stoked just seeing ppl enjoying the water

I know Im going to get flack.... but im less worried about gates than I am the goal of the set.... try to hit that right gate ball but its not the end of the pass if you dont get through

if you look at the trend of luxary companies, they do not tend to increase production rather ride the wave of increased demand. this has product sold out for the years in advance with ppl on waitinglists. this also allows them to increase price without losing the consumer. @Horton with regards to asher.... someone mentioned he did not have a decal on his ski so I went over to the site and hes not on there.... replaced by wakeboarders and surfers.

@ral i was sort of thinking the same.... would defunct companies come back to produce boats? would smaller companies try to fill the void? I do not believe this is tryly a supply issue rather a shift in demand. Malibu no longer has Will (still on of the best in the world) as an ambasator which sort of shows their committment to the sport

it is becoming obvious the major boat companies are moving away from waterskiing and more to Water sport luzary boats. wake board, wake surf, tubing, swimming. Do you see a time when there will be no more manufacturing of waterski boats?? malibu has decreased production as have mastercraft and correct craft... thoughts?

Slalom pros tend to be very slight in build (with a few exceptions). if your like @Stevie Boy with rippling pectoral muscles or me with a flowing beer gut, a wider handle can be more comfortable and natural to hold on to. I look at gymnasts and weight lifters/movers, a wider grip allows all the back muscles to activate and prepare for load/tension. thoughts from an old man

I live on a large public.... boats booming till 3AM. I wish they didn't but not a lot one can do about it. in a private community I would enforce based on sun rise / sun set. too many rules is not a fun place to live. when I slalom I don't allow the radio on (ask for it off).... not that there is much to watch just don't want the crew distraction if I get hurt. -

@The_MS I agree with you.... it is sad to have to give into the wokeness. Best way to do that is like in the old days... if someone hurt the women/children in your community that person was no longer welcome in your community. shunned, runout, ostracized. However, with the wokeness you speak of we now make excuses, justify, blame the victim etc. so here we are. left with SS because some can not, chose not to behave

the evolution of curling is crazy.... not the sport but the participants. as kids it was part of out gym curriculum. tournaments (or bonspiels) were crowded with overweight, heavy smoking, and drinking "athletes" and these were some of the best in the world haha now they train, lift and are in relatively good shape and living clean. dont get me wrong it still curling but interesting to see the change
