  1. I never asked the price myself. Who needs the temptation? ??
  2. Makes me wonder what planet are the “boat folks here in Houston” from?
  3. @LoopSki with our current inflation rate of roughly 7.9%, how could the price possibly not increase?
  4. Here’s a gorgeous new 2023 Prostar just arrived at Action in Polk City. Looks the same to me as the 2022, but since ours is a 2020 I’m not particularly familiar with last year’s model. Maybe a spec change or two? One way or another, a stunning boat! They’re getting hard to improve upon in function and beauty.
  5. We had an additional ski rack installed by a MC dealer 2 years ago on our ‘20 Prostar. The total was just under $2100. Not cheap but worth every penny.
  6. ... ditto all the above and be sure to look for the manufacture date on each tire. Take seriously the preceding advice on replacing any trailer tire at 4-5 years regardless of tread condition.
  7. GoPros have far better image stabilization, but that's not quite a low budget solution.
  8. @ScottScott great research on this issue. Thanks!
  9. Day 3 seems to have disappeared. I was watching it earlier and had to go out for a while. Paused it, came home, and Day 3 was gone. Bummer!
  10. @BKistler it sure is! This was the view from my bedroom window. Not another building between our house and the 2,286,000 acre White River National Forest.
  11. Shoot, I used to live on Sopris Mountain Ranch. Sure wish this was there then! I could have started water skiing years earlier
  12. @ScottScott thanks for the info. I ended up ordering one from Amazon. The kit has way more adapters than I’ll ever need, since all I need is the standard Schrader valve, but it was only $28. Quality appears quite good at least.
  13. I thought Zane was excellent as well. Once Regina and Tony found their rhythm with each other, it was great hearing Regina’s outstanding commentary also.
  14. @ScottScott curious what fuel pressure gauge you are using. There’s lots of fairly inexpensive ones available and I think I’ll pick one up. Personal recommendations are always helpful.
  15. @ScottScott this isn’t an answer to your question, nor a solution to the problem. But I’m told a quick fix to the slow start/long cranking issue due to sitting around too long resulting in a loss of fuel line pressure is to turn the key off, then on again. This re-pressurizes the fuel line. Of course then it has to go through the boot-up sequence which takes a little time itself. Again, this is not a substitute for a functioning check valve. I’m intrigued by your idea of an in-line check valve and look forward to any additional discussion of that.
  16. @lpskier thanks! I did see that on the Pro Tour site. Always fun to go to Trophy Lake!
  17. Where could I find info on the new site? We really enjoyed Trophy Lake, but maybe the new venue will be just as fun. ** cancel this. I just saw where @Broussard said Lymanland.
  18. BTW, I’m guessing one could use a GoPro with the Obsbot tracking mount as well. I don’t think the camera matters. The mount itself employs a camera and combined with AI and a fast responding brushless motor, it apparently locks onto the face of the person being tracked and follows it both horizontally side to side as well as varying distances from the camera. Again, I think the system has real possibilities — if not yet at present, certainly in future generations. And they’re cheap!
  19. There are some AI powered dynamic motion video tracking cameras and smart phone camera mounts already on the market. Obsbot is one I ran across and they offer both a 4k tracking video camera as well as a smart phone tracking mount. They’re pretty interesting, though since I don’t have one I can’t say if they are fully equal to the task just yet. But this one (Obsbot smart phone mount) does appear capable of tracking a person running back and forth in front of a smart phone at least. Even if they’re not quite ready for prime time, it may not be long before higher performance models are on the market and capable of tracking the speed of a skier crossing the wake. There are a number of video demos of these in action and worth a look, at least to see what the potential is.
  20. We love Spraymakers. Since we have a long commute to the lake, it's the perfect thing to listen to during the drive prior to skiing.
  21. Thanks all for your recommendations. When the time comes we will certainly contact one of these agents. @GWaterski thanks and I will be in touch via email. @liquid d Thanks for that link. Can't complain about the price. But that lake is a bit too small for what we're looking for. Anyhow, we're not quite ready to buy just yet.
  22. @The_MS we are definitely in the midst of a real estate bubble. I would actually expect that if we were to buy now, within maybe 2 years we would see the value of the property drop significantly. So the only way it would make sense to buy something now would be if we were sure we would stay there for the long term. @Wish wow! We're not quite seeing that in our immediate area. Maybe it's because the asking prices are so inflated to begin with.
  23. @MitchellM we're not presently on Lake Weir. We only ski there. We have a horse farm in Reddick, which is a 1 hour + drive to Lake Weir each way hauling our boat, 5x weekly weather permitting (which hasn't been often so far this year!). We would love to find a suitable place on Lake Weir, but there is practically nothing decent for sale at the moment. So we may have to expand our horizons and the somewhat warmer climes a bit more south have appeal.
  24. @DavidN I didn't know you bought your house through Drew. Cool! Thanks for the recommendation. @markn and @Mastercrafter thanks as well for your recommendations!
  25. I'm looking for suggestions for Florida real estate agents who specialize in ski lake lakefront properties, particularly in Central Florida. I know of a couple, but I'd like to hear who others know of or can recommend, especially if they have personally worked with them. Thanks!
