  1. This probably doesn't count. Flew to Orlando and skied with my friends who live there. Lake Tennessee. Haven't skied since Oct. so there was some rust. The weather was "chilly" for central Florida but I thought it was great compared to Ohio weather. My lake is frozen and its snowing presently. I did get to ski and drive the new 2021 MC PS at Action watersports. That was fun. They are great there. Of course had a visit to Perfski. Really good trip.
  2. @markn : thank you for making my point. Your judgement of me and my questionable spending is exactly what I was speaking of. I’m financially accountable to 2 people and one of them isn’t you.
  3. I personally feel Nautique did a huge disservice to their dealers. Let’s make a $130k ski boat. Few months later....oh wait just kidding let’s make a version of our former successful ski boat and change the name and sell it for much less. Ouch.
  4. So @Jody_Seal it’s called working my arse off, supporting my family , paying taxes and spending wisely so I can afford my $90k truck, $100k ski boat, live in my 7 figure home on a private lake and have the ZR 1 sitting in the garage for fun! Next question? (Hi Joel). I’ve have 6 200’s. Great ski boats. Tracking awesome. Looks....meh. It’s like running shoes for a runner.....who cares what they look like, they support me during my run. I HAVE TO HAVE A BOAT THAT TRACKS STRAIGHT, are there other options? I brought the SN 2019 home June 6. My wife (my primary driver) drove me. In the past when I brought a boat home she really didn’t say much,”feels the same to me” she would say. My first set, 28, 32, 35 back to back, 4@38. She looks at me in the water and says “ I’m not sure about this boat and not sure what’s happening but this is the best boat I’ve ever driven “. Happy driver/wife....priceless. Don’t judge folks for what they have or don’t have. Be happy for everyone in this sport because let’s face it, it’s expensive no matter what ski you’re on or what boat is pulling you.
  5. Fin was not going to help with this ski. 7 sets. More than 15 attempts at 35, ran 2 and this was with max effort and me skiing the ski. No room to even try 38. Avg buoy count for 7 sets was about 2-3 at 35. A full pass down. My personal opinion about this particular ski......68.5 is way to big for me. However this is what was recommended by 2 very knowledgeable folks who ski with Goode. So tried my vapor Probuild last evening. Ran up the rope, back to back 35’s. Disappointing adventure but happy the radar isn’t mad at me.
  6. @MrJones No but I will. I’m gonna try numbers from a good reference person tomorrow. If that doesn’t work then I’ll try the numbers from PB. GOOD IDEA. Just an observation: The fin width on this ski is THICK. The thickest fin I’ve ever seen on a ski.
  7. Reporting back: Had a great swimming lesson. My deep water starts are amazing. LFF practice average is 4@38. 2019 Pro build 67”. Stock fin. Can’t run a 35 on the 9970 CC. Still acquiring numbers from my reference folks. First set was 5@35 with maximum effort. Second set with different numbers was worse. Trying new numbers tomorrow. I’ll report back. I’m soooo disappointed.
  8. I will be in about 2 hours. I’ll report back.
  9. Had it done Friday at 2. Skied Sunday.
  10. @brettmainer. Three letters for you : HRT.
  11. Broho near Seattle. Richard and officer friendly took me to another lake nearby. Omg. It was pristine. Eagles flying around. Awesome. Don’t remember the name.
  12. Well trying to figure out how to get video from phone library to the post. Efforting....
  13. Thanks to all who responded. A few asked for video. I’m not big on video. Since I’m my own worst critic it usually becomes a negative reinforcement time. Sequence will be 32, 35 and two 38’s.

    Ski skat

Thank you Corey. Appreciate the interest. I’m going to keep it and enjoy the memories.

    Ski skat

Here’s another ski that was found.

    Ski skat

So found this in the attic. Still have box. Anyone know what this is or how much something like this could sell for.
  17. I heard and or read that if you’re running your opening passes easy and smooth, this set up on your ski will not work for 38 and shorter. I open at 28. Right up to 32, then run 2 35’s. I can’t miss. Virtually automatic. Then purple shows up. Typical is 2-3 at 38. Several times in a week I may get around 4 and get over to 5. My frustration is why can I crush 35 then it all goes away at 38 ?? So if a change in set up is necessary, what to do? More DFT? Less depth? Wing angle? I’m 58. LLF. 2019 radar pro build. Regular fin and wing. Reflex front. Kicker in rear. Have at it.
  18. I am picking up a boat near Lauderdale lakes in Wisconsin. I see two sites north of the marina where I am taking delivery. Is there someone who knows how to contact a member or owner to see if i can get a set while in the area? Lake is Still Waters Lake. The other site is Jim Michael's site. Or perhaps there are other sites near that are not on the Google earth ski lakes project. Thanks in advance.
  19. Just a quick shout out again for square one/Radar for excellent customer service. stripped two of the screws in my fin box so the fin could not be tightened. contacted customer service and fin box was sent out immediately. extremely pleased with 2019 PB vapor and the excellent customer service. Thanks so much.
  20. @blakeyates , Man I am really sorry for you and your friend. Of course you know what you and I would do in this situation as a seller. However money seems to supersede integrity. The chasm between our expectation and reality is misery. Unfortunately for your happiness and sanity moving on is the best option. Good luck.
  21. I had same issue when I got new 840 system. See picture. There are two holes for the swing arm and locking mechanism. I moved mine forward to first hole. Problem solved.
  22. FWIW all points thus far are valid. However the perplexing issue for me as a consumer is WHY can’t MC fix the issue? Mastercraft, not me figuring out where to place weights, grind, move rudder to said bolt hole, etc. If my 200 sold today, my first call would be to MC dealer in cincy to start inquiring about 2021. Why ? SN is too freaking much, even for used boat, just too much. The new 200 I had a bad experience with, enough said. I like the MC for a ton of “non ski” reasons: color scheme and pattern choices, love the tower (grandkids, sorry guys) front bow cover (genius IMO), 6 liter, price point. They are both outstanding boats. I think we’re fortunate to have them both as choices for our particular sport.
  23. @MISkier. Yikes. I am NOT a mechanic or engineer. That’s a lot of modifications for a new SKI boat. If it were a 23 foot sea ray inboard/outboard I would understand all that. My primary point is...it’s a ski boat. There are a few variables that should be of utmost importance when building it. Tracking is one of those variables. This discussion asked about hull revisions, my opinion as a prospective buyer, fix the tracking. I’m in.
  24. @TEL. no disrespect but I’m talking about 35 and shorter. I’ve skied and driven all the current big 3 boats. Even the new SN has some driving “quirks” at first but the tracking is true. I am not a master chief tournament driver but I have pulled skiers into 41. I had trouble keeping the PS straight for a friend skiing 32 off at 32mph. I was apologizing at each end. He was the promo guy in our area and it was his boat. He said “ no problem you’re used to your 200”. Every boat has their own idiosyncrasies. No 200 is the same, but in my experience tracking for the PS is deficient. Can it be modified...yep, could it be fixed at the manufacturer level ? I would hope so.....soon.
