  1. @Wayne i think With RTP I had more movement than I should, both side/side and up/down. HRT allows a fair amount of up/down, but really limits the side/side. I think the limitation on side/side is what’s helping me.
  2. @pregom 2019 radar binding required some persuasion with drill/file to fit d3 helix h2. Your experience may vary.
  3. @Andrew11 probably not for me, but my foot is at the top end of the size chart. I actually even use a little soap. Might be possible if you’re foot is smaller or you buy a larger size.
  4. Too notch operation and great service. We stop in at least once or twice every winter and buy a bunch of stuff we didn’t know we needed.
  5. I’m a life long RTP skier. Tried a double boot a couple times and hated that set-up. But, I like to experiment with things at the end of the season and so this year I tried a Radar HRT. I have to say I REALLY like it. I keep it loose so I have some up/down flex, but not much side to side. I feel like I’m skiing with more power, and maintaining better angle after the second wake. Not sure exactly why I have better angle after the wake. Maybe because I’m in a stronger position I’m slowing my pre-turn transition? Dunno, but I love it and I’m keeping it!
  6. @Wayne thanks, but still, they did that ON PURPOSE? :o
  7. Just watched the video again and YouTube gave me this one as a suggestion. Now this is really weird. No skier, and they are clearly amused after doing it. Do people do this shit for fun? Nuts!
  8. I’m buying a shock tube.
  9. Thanks for sharing that @bishop8950 . Sounds like it’s an easier mistake to make than one might think. I never in a million years would have guessed such a severe outcome. Glad no one was hurt.
  10. @Than_Bogan very good point!
  11. Thanks @Horton for the direct info. I am completely amazed reverse would do that! I would have guessed the transmission would be shredded long before the prop could exert that amount of force. 3500lb boat doing 36mph: 1/2mv^2=an absolute fuck ton!
  12. I’m skeptical reverse would do something like that. Looks more like he caught a cable with a 2000lb cement block on the other end. Anyone hurt? Anything we can learn from this? I mean obviously drivers should go down the center of the course, but did the construction of the course somehow contribute? We ski a public lake, and the course is “mine”. random tubers and boaters go straight over buoys quite often.
  13. Anyone familiar with the video going around social media of the boat that got caught up on the slalom course? It appears the driver goes directly over a boat guide early in the course. The boat snags on the course and does a nosedive for the bottom. Looks like the boat almost sinks as it limps off to the side. I cant find the video now but it's pretty spectacular. Where and how did this happen? Hopefully no one seriously injured. I bet they wish they had airbags....
  14. Is it just me, or is this a radar binding thing? In my family we’ve got skis and bindings from several manufacturers. Radar bindings always seem to need a little persuading to fit other skis. Others seem interchangeable without filing or drilling.
  15. If just for skiing in Calmish water I’d take the sportster. Newer, all glass, skis great, and has PP. If you’re skiing the course PP (or zero off) is extremely helpful. Without it you’re relying on the driver and never really sure of your speed. Just .5mph can make a big diff. Upgrade to stargazer if it hasn’t already been done. HOWEVER, if you want to use the boat on lake winni in anything but perfect conditions I’d look for a direct drive crossover (is that what we call them?) with a decent wake. A malibu sun setter with the diamond hull has a pretty darn good wake. Also some years of sport nautique, and I’m sure MC has an equivalent. All skiable and also usable In less than perfect conditions on winni. If you go this route see if you can ski before you buy and try different line lengths.

    WTF?!?!?

    Backwards motor=centered v drive?
  17. Do I understand correctly you’re being instructed by a pro? What does he say? (Not trying to be funny or a jerk here.)
  18. Hmm. Or, Maybe if I modify my bike it will help my counter-Rotation?
  19. Not sure what you mean. Is this from a specific event/crash or from just skiing a lot? What happened and where does it hurt? More details please....
  20. I had similar pain frequently, then saw an Instagram post from Whitney McClintock with preventative exercises. I do them once or twice a week and no pain since. Here is a link to the post. https://www.instagram.com/tv/B9HbtFbn8M7/?igshid=ouizmlok1iix
  21. I’ve owned or skied on all 3; Omni, senate (times 2), and now carbon v. You can’t make a bad choice from that list but I have to say the carbon v is my personal favorite. Connelly really won me over with this one.
  22. Wind driven waves will have a somewhat constant period/frequency and I would think the floating lift/boat combination to be so heavy it would smooth out the bouncing to some extent. Also, I understand your worry about the bunks but I would guess boats riding on trailers can face similar bumps. Granted boats aren’t riding on trailers for anywhere near as long, but if it was going to be a problem I think we’d hear more stories of trailer boat damage. No charge for my completely uninformed and potentially dangerous opinion.... ?
