I also just recently bought a 12” version to go from antenna to rover, using USB power pack, hanging in a mesh bag under the pylon. This keeps the cable out of the passenger area of the boat, avoiding damage.

I think scoring s turns as less in a pro tournament would make it more exciting for spectators. However not as exciting as cornhole, so it probably won’t help grow the sport. Don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t really care about amateur events because I don’t watch them, and I’m not the one battling it out for a podium spot. I have a bit of a “die trying” mentality, so if I were higher level and trying to win, I suspect I’d have some different opinions

Our lake is clay (naturally) and while it is slippery and messy, man does it hold water well. 45 days is wild but even 100-ish is still fast. Guesses on fill time? Can we all take a guess and winner gets a free set? Ha. What a beautiful site.

All else aside, as a spectator at/of pro tournaments, seeing everyone s-turn 3 @ 10.25 gets a little… old? I surely understand the practical reasoning behind it but as a spectator it’d be much more fun to see some attempts at 4.

Mine pulled right out, silicone and all. I put it in the new one with no silicone.. maybe they had some loose fits? I think it’s just intake air temp so nothing too critical.

The common denominator here is Nautique, more than professional skiing, is it not? Freddie, Jacinta, Travers, Masters issues.. Nautique is a privately owned company and they can do whatever they want, I can't argue that. I think the bigger issue is how powerful Nautique has become in the sport of waterskiing.

Even without scrubbing through frame by frame it’s very obvious to me in the slow-mo replay @Horton posted that he hit the buoy and sank it good. It didn’t pop back up til he was 20’+ past it. In this pic, it’s still underwater. Could the judges not review this footage to make the call? I wouldn't want to be in the judges seat for stuff like this but as stated, it seems that the “most prestigious” event needs to pony up and somehow do better. If stuff like this keeps happening, it’ll soon be the most infamous event.

Im admittedly very hard to keep track of when it comes to boats. Sold the 17 and replaced it with this. Wasn’t really planning on selling it but I guess everything is for sale 🤷🏻‍♂️ let me think on it.

I’m no Pan Am Judge but those are 0, right? Didn’t watch the masters, but if those got called 1/4 and got Fred out of the game, that’s too bad indeed.

😂 I bought the boat in question.. it’s actually super solid, runs strong, interior is good sans drivers seat bottom. Did a powertrain tuneup, needs a steering cable and a leaky muffler fixed, and that’s about it right now. $25k no trailer, I’m a happy camper. Hopefully I can update in another 1000 hours.

Smoother wake? Or something else feels better?
