  1. I have a 2015 5.7 and my neighbor has a 2023 6.0. I tossed a 3 blade jump prop on my 5.7 and it feels almost identical behind the boat despite 60 less HP. The 2021+ drives a hella lot easier. Way less steering input required. Comparable to a 200. It just goes straight. The new ones are quieter and smoother inside the boat. Things I don’t like on the new ones: the vinyl on the helms seems to come up and unglued… I’ve seen it on multiple boats; It annoys me. There’s more Seadek with weird patterns. It’s fine.. but I don't care for it. 2021+ not worth the upgrade $ for me, but if I had the choice, it’s a better tug. Easier on driver = better for skier.
  2. Say it with me, “We Want TWBC”
  3. You're correct. ...Imagine deciding to build a modern 3-event boat without Zero Off.
  4. Unfortunately they’re not cheap. Great Lakes Skipper had some NOS screens on eBay for $3400 a while back but now this is the cheapest at $4300. Dealer is closer to $4800 I believe. https://www.ebay.com/itm/404415479384?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=PPsq0eSBQmO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=a-9NW19sQAi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY a dealer
  5. I’d say run it. Skied a 2014 a handful of times this winter and it has the same high-pitch whine in gear at idle. I picked up a 2014 recently and it has a bit more whine than the boats with the updated trans, but not as bad as some. My neighbors 2001 Response sounds the same, coincidently. All the noises go away under load leading me to believe its some loosely meshed gears. Spinning your driveshaft while dry can be noisy especially if you have the rubber strut bushing versus a PTFE like OJ sells.
  6. Ski it a set. Mine felt fine after a couple passes.
  7. Looking for a trailer for a late model Prostar. The closer to Michigan the better, but willing to travel.
  8. Ideally yes, but the issue here is the Prostar has all sorts of geometry with sharp radii underneath and I'd rather have the bunks suppording a large smooth area than contacting just a few pressure points. The dang trailer has 4 sets of bunks to accommodate. Hopefully choosing the lesser of two evils.
  9. I'd like to buy the X Series, I really like mine. Sending you PM.
  10. Shorestation alum/poly hunks are about $550 with mounts and hardware.
  11. Run them wide. 57 inch gap between bunks in the rear, 44 inches in front. This keeps them off all the geometry on bottom of the hull. I spent way too long perfecting this
  12. If you have or can get a multimeter, I would check voltage at plug to see if it is in fact getting 12v. That would ensure you have power to the seat along with the green light and good breaker. Maybe check the resistance of the driver’s seat element and compare it to observer’s seat. If the values are way off, that could point to a bad heating element in the seat.
  13. Unfortunately I think boats are going to be the least of our country's collective worry in a while here.
  14. Is that little point all the microtuner is?
  15. I’ll be on shore. Looking forward to it. Maybe see ya there @markn.. been a while!
  16. Beautiful. Took some sets behind The Boarding School’s 6.2 last year and it was a winner for sure.
  17. Are you pumping as you’re digging? Or ready to let er fill up? love the wind protection. That’s awesome.
  18. Radar cheapest; Wally best.. and arguable a better value when it comes to useful life.
  19. I goofed and did one acre, not 12. Make that 60K more yards of dirt for a few extra feet depth. Anyways.. pointless rambling.
  20. Few extra feet of depth is just another 5,000 yards of dirt to move.. no biggie 🙄 @Spencer_Shultz is your family doing a DIY dig or paying to have it done? Super cool and looks like a great site.
  21. … that 4th tracking fin and rail in the hull drive SO nice though 😎 Driving a neighbor’s boat, I found myself with nothing better to do than peek in the mirror vs driving my 2015 drifter.
