  1. I cant leave a comment on "Where are you looking from ball to wake? (38off+)", there is no "leave a comment" box? In all the other discussions there are. Am I doing something wrong or is it a known problem? Tsixam
  2. The only time I use feet is on this board. Tsixam
  3. My only workout this off-season is crossfit. After only two month I am much stronger and much more overall fit. Tsixam
  4. We do nothing, but we usually have to replace one or two balls. We have a home made floating course, made from 8 mm steel wire. Tsixam

  7. Not too far away sounds good! Tsixam
  8. I think the good old ”head up, shoulders square and countered” would help a lot. And of course line control. Tsixam
  9. 59..It´s been an unusually cold spring. A normal summer it would have been about 70. Tsixam
  10. Changed the Razor today. Shorter and more dft. Off side terrific, on side worse. Need to go back. Usually dont change when I find The settings. Tsixam
  11. Pb 4@38 on the old Sixam. Bought an Elite, gone downhill since then. Got a Razor a month ago and I think the feeling is coming back. I will gain at least 2 balls this summer.
  12. @jimbrake, I have experienced the exact same thing and it was not really my turn @ 2 that sucked. I noticed, when I had a really nice 1 ball and a nice pull to 2, I usually came of edge too hard and too early, making me just a bit narrow to 2. The fix was to pay attention to my elbows or “squeeze the handle” as I exited the wake. It gave me the extra feet I needed to make the turn @2 much better. Tsixam
  13. Instead of just ”holding on with two hands” I´m thinking of using the handle as steering wheel off the second wake. With elbows on the vest point the handle in the direction you want to go or start to counter with two hands on the handle. It gives me extra space before the next ball. Tsixam
  14. I was skiing in drysuit late April, shorts mid May and now back in drysuit. Should have been shorts since mid May. I live on the wrong side of the Atlantic. Tsixam

    Razor

I´ve had about 8 sets on the Razor with the shortline settings now. The water is warmer, about 69F and the ski feels great. Ran a couple of 35´s yesterday that felt pretty easy and 38 will not be far away. The ski seems to be just as fast as the Elite but much more stable and predictable. Thank´s for your help. Tsixam
  17. @DanE, I´ll haven´t been messing with settings on the Razor yet. But for my old Sixam and the Elite, fin back always worked when the water got warmer. The Elite was very sensitive when it came to DFT. Tsixam
  18. As a starter I would recommend everyone to read Hortons ”Your ski is a lever”. It makes sense and it´s easier to understand how the fin works. Warm water is “softer” and the ski sits deeper. (If you notice and mark where the water breaks at the front boot in cold water you will see the difference when the water warms up.) When the ski sits deeper you get more grip and it´s easier to generate and maintain the angle. You will also be able to generate more speed and ski a wider path. The ball is not coming up so fast. “Slow water”! The opposite is true for cold water. The ski sits higher and you get more slip. The ball is coming up faster, even if you in reality are skiing with less speed. “Fast water”! Once you realize this it´s easier to understand which move to make when water temp changes. Cold water, bindings back or fin forward and the opposite for warm water. Or you just adjust your stacked position.. My 2cents Tsixam

    Razor

Thanks guys! I have always wondered if Strada count as Hard or Soft boot? I´ll try these settings and report back when the water gets warmer, right now it´s only 51F. @ Razorskier1, Do you have DFT with head, I really don´t like the needle I´ll never get the same reading twice. Tsixam

It's still pretty cold water over here, so I won't mess to much with settings until it warms up a little. Tsixam

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it. I'm quite sure I need to go back with the bindings. need to check that before next ski set. Tsixam
