  2. Have you thought about the O'Neill Checkmate? It is now a front zip! My husband has had an older pullover for about 5 years and it's still in good shape, but a little faded. I've got the women's Gem, but thinking about getting a new one with the front zip.
  3. I'm a personal trainer and I drop heavy squats during ski season. I stick to mostly stability type exercises to keep from affecting my skiing. TRX is great for this. I will still do some split squats, lighter weight front squats, and 1 leg deadlifts mainly for range of motion.
  4. @Texas6, Our water has been very warm the last 2 summers. It's usually doable without neoprene mid-May thru mid-September. This year we had a very late spring, but were rewarded with a warm September and early October. We don't tend to be as 'hard core' as the southern Canadians and don't use the dry suits as much...
  5. @bracemaker, ISU & grads are about the only ones that really ski here anymore. We're hoping to sell our lot to one of them. It's pretty sad, the other owners are all out of shape and spend all their time taking care of their yards. We are moving to Colorado where people actually stay active instead of sitting around waiting to die.
  6. Getting a bonus this fall, must be making up for the crappy spring and early summer we had. Missed skiing for a few weeks - boat was stuck on lift due to low water. But we finally got enough rain to walk (& lift) it off, but having to trailer it now...
  7. I was also wondering how all the ski lakes have faired during the floods. Hope everything and everyone is OK! We were just in Colorado last week and were talking to people about a possible membership for next year. I'm guessing some of the sites along the Poudre River are flooded. I talked to someone who's family skis at Pelican Shores, their lake was 12' above normal. It sits next to the St. Vrain river in Firestone.
