  1. Very sorry for your loss. Deepest condolences to you and your family.
  2. you gotta file those calluses down every other day and that won't happen. I use a corn and callus remover.
  3. US Gear is still taking orders, at least he was a couple of months ago. We ordered 4 handles and got them all. I would buy Masterline handles in the Ergo series if they offered different diameters; but, they don't and they indicated they wouldn't. US Gear offers any size diameter you request. They have some way of grinding the rubber down.
  4. @Roger , did they replace just the one letter or the whole MasterCraft?
  5. @Brewski couple of reasons. 1. Vary grip position a little bit to avoid any elbow issues 2. 1" doesn't sound like a lot; but, it makes a difference how I come back on the handle. 3. I start with straight handles and after about 30 - 40 sets they wind up naturally bending into a curved handle (this happens with US Gear or Masterline handles). This is more prevalent in the 13" handles for obvious reasons 4. Handle wear spread out across two handles
  6. The poll should have another option because I use both 12" and 13" US Gear handles. I alternate every couple weeks.
  7. For Sale - 2019 ski that was pressed at the end of June and ridden about 20-25 sets in July. Check serial number (6XTR-66H9051502) with Goode if you desire. Ski was simply one size too small for me, went with a 67". My loss may be your gain. Will be adding some pics soon. Listed for $1500 on SIA PM if interested.
  8. I guess I will finally have to find something else and sacrifice a few buoys.
  9. I ride a 67 XTR (now with a Whisper Fin) with stock fin @: 6.838 (tips) 2.493 - 2.494 0.705 to 0.708 (head) 8.5 degrees FB @ 29 5/16 (about 1/4" ahead of stock)
  10. What about ski width? Also effecting tunnel design?
  11. we have a 2015 MC prostar....all I can say is that stick on, raised plastic letters are probably the worst idea EVER!!! I hate them. They are at total PITA when wiping down or cleaning the boat. I just don't get it.
  12. FYI...for anyone who cares. I had to remove my cockpit kick board to access the single puck whips that were pre-wired in the ZO wiring harness. I would never have been able to find or access them unless I pull that kick board off. The other connectors that I thought were the puck connectors were actually the ZO head unit to MC display screen connections.
  13. @hemlock the distance from engine cover to back of boat is an optical illusion. It looks really close due to the white side walls; it makes it look like it is flat all the way to the end of the white. Actually the floor goes from the back of the engine cover to the two grey Seadeck trunk compartment lids.
  14. yea...I did a copy/paste so that shouldn't be an issue. My guess is they transposed some numbers in my ZO serial number and I somehow go the wrong code. Process wise, we used a computer and cable that was used for another boat so I know it isn't a softw
  15. any chance you had issues with the password (software key) not being accepted. I get a "password invalid" error with the 16 digit password that was emailed to me.
  16. We are experiencing low, sporadic satellite pick up. Used to be 10 - 11, now can be as low as 4. At 4 -5 the boat won't maintain speed/engagement. I talked to ZO and they told me it had to do with the reprogramming of the satellite software and the old garmin pucks are subject to poor reception. That is the story anyway. The others that have converted, on our lake, all get 16 - 22 satellites and have no issues.....so...we dropped the $$
  17. Thanks for the pic. I found 2 plugs under the dash but I am not sure if they are the right connectors. Do these look correct? The connector with the red tab has a tag on it that says "ZERO OFF #2" which I am assuming is the 2nd puck?
  18. Anyone perform the single puck upgrade on an MC? We have a 2015 Prostar. The single puck wiring comes with a set of male and female 4 wire connectors and another set of male and female 3 wire connectors. Are both used or only one set? Will it be evident on which ones to use once you locate dual puck connectors under the dash? Any one have any picks of the connectors under the dash?
  19. We have a similar, but not as frequent issue, with our 2015 MC - 2 puck Rev R. Sometimes our satellite reception is only 4-5 when it always used to be 9-10. Now it seems to dip down to 4-5 sometimes. More often it is around 7-8, sometimes up to 9-10. Not sure what the issue is at this point. Hoping others will response....or Maybe ZO?
  20. Starrett 8" dial calipers....all the way.
  21. Has anyone had the experience of skiing on two different optimized ropes and feeling a significant difference in the way they feel? I have. Just wondering if it has to do with tweaks in construction or material? Or, does it have to do with age/sets? One rope was purchased early in the roll out of the new rope (November 2018) and the other was purchased in the late February 2019 time frame. The November 2018 is way more "spongy" on the hook up and pull through the back of the boat; but, I don't get the "slinging into slack" sensation that I would have expected from second wake to buoy. The rope seems to rebound without the rubber band effect. The newer rope feels much more stiff. I would say the ropes have equivalent numbers of sets on each. Wondering is anyone has experimented with two or more of the new ropes? Wondering if there is still some tweaking going on in the design of the rope?
  22. I think 1996 - 2003 were the bad wake years.
  23. @bhs are those numbers with a stock fin or the CG fin? Is it the classic CG fin or the one they use on the Denali? In either case, the depth and DFT look off by quite a bit. Too deep and to far back. Is the length measurement with jaws or tips? Is the DFT with the caliper head or stem?
  24. I guess the old motto of "practice scores don't count" might need to be modified to "tournament scores (in Europe) don't count".....actually...I think the whole thing is really ridiculous...JUST GO SKI!!!
  25. Just wondering if anyone has experimented with identical binding set ups on an Aluminum plate and G10 plate material; in a double plate set up not a mono plate. Does one affect ski performance more that the other?
