  1. I have actually restrung a couple myself, but you cannot re-grip them. Also, he is able to get the custom diameter size with some type of rubber grinding process, it might even have been some type of laser grinder from what I understand.
  2. It doesn't matter what anyone says, you need to ride them both and see which one suits your own style. DO NOT GO BY WHAT ANYONE SAYS!!! I got talked into the NRG by the D3 factory guys, so I demoed the NRG. The NRG did not agree with me. By chance, I had the opportunity to ride the Ion Red and Blue. The Ion turned out to be the ski for me....blue to be exact.
  3. Some one needs to buy his equipment and process so I can continue to buy handles.
  4. it is also the diameter options Randy offered. Masterline does not offer anything but 1.00" diameter in their Ergo handle.
  5. Selling our boat. https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=58947
  6. @RGilmore one might argue that he was leaving something on the table by not adjusting precisely and may have run 41 with that added advantage.
  7. That is our sport.....entitlement and elitists.
  8. Gotta pay if you wanna play!! It is basic economics at play and it is being directly represented by the position of the boat manufacturers. Unfortunately, this sport takes a lot of disposable income to participate and sustain, and tournaments are almost the direct culprit for this....that and the exclusivity of being held on private ponds. There is no money to be made in this sport, that ship has sailed. So, if you want tournaments, cough up the $$$, make it an equal share proposition for all competitors (pros, armatures, judges, drivers, etc.) to cover all costs of the LOC. @6balls is correct, I don't see a lot of paupers at tournaments.

  10. Mine were not. I found the tail of the CC needed to be freed up quite a bit. I wound up with about .015 - .020 less depth and +.005 DFT than I had on the XTR, the rest of my numbers stayed the same.
  11. TRX suspension training or the knock off brands....you CANNOT beat it for functional strength and core work outs. A lot of the movements incorporate core engagement along with the major muscle group training.
  12. Thanks guys, I have done all you have offered up without success; and, I don't want to remove the lettering on both sides of the boat. I just want to replace the letters with factory OEM letters. I am just looking for responses to the original post, nothing more. I may bite the bullet and just buy the lettering on my own an then post on SIA or Ebay (and here) to sell the other letters.
  13. I have a 2015 MasterCraft Prostar in need of a few letters, an "e" and a "t", in matte black. You can only buy the entire decal. I am contemplating doing so, but wanted to see if there were others out there in the same predicament as me, that may need letters. The proposition would be that I buy the decal, use the two letters I need, then sell off each of the remaining letters at a cost of 10% of the purchase price, seeing as how there are 10 letters. If anyone is interested, please PM me. If I get enough interest, I will go ahead with the purchase and divvy it up.
  14. Thumbs up on the clincher style. I prefer the masterline pro locks. Prevents blisters and elbow issues for the most part. Let me ski a lot more passes, my hands never really get tired.
  15. Pony up the extra $60 and by a Starret 8" Dial caliper. Treat it well and you will have it for life....and it will ALWAYS be accurate.
  16. Mapple also made a ski that was hollow....it leaked too.
  17. Is the safety check any thing like the safety dance?
  18. @skibrain I am about 173#...so essentially the same. I have not tried a 66", but maybe next year as I plan to come into the season a little lighter.
