  1. S. Dude, I am 52 years old, 175#, 5'8" LFF and ski 22 & 28 off @ 55k. Horton posted he's 190#'s on his 67.5" A-1, but he is on a much shorter rope than me. Both feel great, fast across, quick turns, bone stock settings. I'm thinking the shorter I get the more I'll like the 66.25" I've been skiing on a 67" Black MPD and the 67.5" A-1 feel as good and better. Hope to ride both again this weekend and make my choice. Gotta return the other quickly before my wife sees the AMEX charge <(;-{|)>-<<< Which are you interested in? Thx., CD
  2. I bought a 66.25" and a 67.5" to test side by side and am leaning towards the 66.25" Both are awesome so it may be a coin toss. I'll have to send one back unless I can sell it here. So, any one interested in brand new A-1 for $900, please let me know. I'll pay shipping.
  3. Don't leave home without it. Best $50 I've ever spent for ski gear.  Thanks TW for a great invention!

  5. Tried the A1, 2008 Monza, RCX, RS-1 and will stick with my 2008 MPD
  6. Just got these from Greg Bedal while at regionals and will try them out in the AM. 67.5" A-1 Front heel 29.625" +/- .125" 6.845" Tips 2.503" Depth 0.77 DFT 8 degree wing upside down
  7. I get to test one on Sunday, any factory or tested numbers available for a 67.5" Fins ? Boots ?
  8. If you can get a deal on a 2001 or 2002, the hook can be added at a fairly resonable price. 2006 rudder change made for a smoother, flatter wake with much better handling. OJ 3 blade prop made an even flatter wake.
  9. Just staying on my MPD. The RS-1 just wasn't a big improvement over my MPD, so while it's still in mint condition. I tried the 2008 Monza and it didn't ring my bell either, great ski, just not better than the MPD. I need to refill the Mad Money fund so I can try something new when something catches my eye!
  10. Blank, Mint condition 67" RS-1 $750.00 you pay freight from So.Cal email crdickey@hotmail.com
  11. MS,  What is the distance from the tail to your rear boot? John Horton, since you are on the RS boots same question, front and back heels please.  Rossi posted 17" rear and keep your normal spacing and disregard where your front heel ends up. I have size 9 shells and if I keep my shells touching, my front heel is 28.625. Sure feels like a whole lot of ski out there! Tried it only one set, maybe I should give it a few more sets?
  12. Shells sold, liners are still available.
  13. Eric wrote - "The Stargazer I have used comes in soft with barely legal 3 ball times then hammers the skier to end up with a perfect time. Why would you want to train with that system?" This is a setup issue that is easily corrected with the Gate, One ball, Three ball settings Eric wrote - "Can you turn off the Stargazer and run Classic? Or can you tweak the settings to emulate ZO? This is again, a setup issue that is easily corrected by running it in the PP Classic settings and make any adjustments needed, Kx, Px, add or subtract rpm's Eric wrote - "PS ZO is sweet for tricks!" Gazer works great for Trick and still has the PP Classic Trick Yes, it does suck that ZO is the only thing approved in '09 and since most of us can't afford or don't want to buy a new DBW boat, AWSA should pull their heads out and correct the problem.
  14. The plate will match up with all current ski inserts
  15. Just spent the week with my 10 year old daughter, Carly, at two different Junior Development clinics, one in Arvin and the other in Newberry Springs. I want to thank all those who worked hard to put on these events and especially want to thank John Horton for his partcipation. This is the third year Carly has had John as her coach and he again did a phenomenal job with her and all the kids. She learned a Wake Back, a Back to Back and nearly an O. In slalom he taught her to be stronger through the wakes and she ran several full passes as a result. It takes a lot of patience and a huge heart to work with the new generation of skiers. Thanks John, thanks a bunch! Chuck Dickey PS: Hope the foot heals fast!
  16. I have Superfeet insoles in my liners and someone suggested using them under the liners. Where are your insoles, in or under the liners? Why?
  17. "the Machined Radar fin" Is that the grey fin that came stock?
  18. OK - Installed and ready to test drive. Can't say enough about the quality and service. Thomas is getting off to a great start in my book. FYI, my install is in a US Gear Radius and it looks like it will work out well. Thomas, can you make ne for the same handle but with a smaller opening for the hands? I'm thinking about my daughters handle, she has the same model but smaller diameter. She can easily get her arm through the space left in mine after the install. She's 9 years old and their arms are pretty small at that age.
  19. JDarwin, My boat is a 2003 PS-197 and the tournament is just a club "Fun day" tourny. I thought the "L" settings for 34 and 36 are separate from each other and separate from the two "N" settings. That's where I'm trying to dial things in. We have 35 members and a wide variety of speeds, weights and line lengths. This is really where I thought the SG upgrade would shine, not having to account for shier weight and wind. Now we have crew weight, L & N modes and Gate up, 1 ball & 3 balls adjustments to deal with. I'll have some time to mess with it Friday before the fun begins and if I can't get it dialed, PP classic here we come
  20. Chet and Wim pull out at the 55's or just as they past. Chet teaches a burst of energy to propel you, a slight hesitation (Glide) to pick your spot and turn in. Very little time to worry about speed dropping off but definitely not the MB pull out and immediate turn in. What I got from Matt Rini was very similar, burst of energy to propel and shift slightly to the inside edge in order to be ready to drop in towards the gate. I think in both cases the key is to move your hips in the direction you want to go.
  21. These are posted on the Performance Surf and Ski site for the RS-1  Fin Setup:..................Bindings.......Fin Length........Fin Depth....DFT                   66":....28 7/8â€ÂÂ........6.850.............2.48........0.74                   67":.......29 1/4â€ÂÂ..........6.870.................2.50.........0.78                   68":.......30â€Â ..............6.880.................2.505.......0.79 These setting are to the best to date stock settings. We will always be testing new setups for these skis and learning the potential of the RS-1. This is a ski that will offer tremendous variety in settings to the skier who wants to keep pushing the envelope. The stock settings have been tested and give a very solid first impression of the potential awaiting the skier.
