  1. I ordered mine a week ago and still the mailbox is empty...ÂÂ
  2. I don't think it turns as hard but it definitely carries more speed through the turn than the 1.0 did...  Holds angle well just like the 1.0 did... My flex isn't quite as stiff as some of the 1.0's I've ski'd on before.
  3. I wish my back would stop hurting long enough for me to try my new bindings... If it doesn't feel better by tomorrow I'll probably ski anyway and drink my pain away afterwards!
  4. John  I liken you to a woman that has dyed her hair so many times and for so long that she doesn't even know what her original color was! You ski on so many sticks and so many bindings, and so many settings (on so many different types of alcohol) do you really even have a baseline anymore?
  5. I'm wearing my Elite TeeShirt today and I just feel like $2000 bucks!  Tminus 6 hours and I'm off to rip buoys on my SS...
  6. I always struggled going back and forth from Wide Ride 30mph speed back to 36... Strokin 39 ain't easy no matter what the speed. ÂÂÂ
  7. I set myself up just outside the boat wash as the boat approaches the 55's and just before I get to them (10 feet) I fall outside to my left with a "One - Two" count and then look up to make sure I'm even with 2-4-6 ball... I then keep the handle low and straight up and down (left handed baseball grip) and as the back of the boat goes through the entrance gates I slowly start my turn in for the gates... The shorter the line, the slower I turn in for the gates. All the while thinking only about increasing my pull Intensity where its at its maximum right behind the boat between the wakes.  Its all about visuals for me and trying to duplicate them on every pass so my gate is consistently the same... Good luck!
  8. I had the pleasure of meeting Brett at Ski Test in Bako this past October, what a nice guy. This is very sad news.ÂÂÂ
  9. Original fin available too. Also works well with Horton Fins!
  10. 2005 Monza 67 (black top - red graphics). Great condition. Used 3 seasons but well taken care of, one handle scuff. Always kept in a bag. Currently has a Slot Fin mounted on with mini wing. Currently blank but I have a pair of Medium HO Venoms (Brand New) that could go on it for a few extra dollars. Nice ski I've just made the switch to an SS that is smaller. $400 obo.  waterskier@gmail.com Can get a picture if you'd like to see it.ÂÂÂ
  11. You've been drinking and watching TV again haven't you John?ÂÂÂ
  12. I would like to chime and say Bill is right if you are going to ski on the Monza don't waste your time - try the SlotFin first. If you don't like it thats one thing but don't ski on it for 2 seasons like I did before I tried the Slot and realized it should have been on that ski the entire time!  Word up Bill! How's that ankle doing budro?

    SS

I'm recently on the SS and really like it! Fast but in a different way than the Monza or MPD. I really was drawn to it because of its turning ability.ÂÂÂ
  14. John are you saying you are light on the line or "light in the loafers!" LOL!
  15. For me the answer is no... The performance of the ski to me didn't warrant the extra $300...ÂÂÂÂ
  16. I think the Monza was sort of a breakthrough ski when it first hit the market - but now the majority of ski companies are producing high end ski's with the ability to get cross course as fast as the Monza, however I will say that I still believe the Monza is the fastest ski right off the ball on the market today. But as mentioned on a different thread "speed" can be taken to mean several things in the slalom course - not just mph!  And I don't think there were any preconceived notions about any of the skis at the tests - everyone just strapped them on and ski'd them. ÂÂÂÂ
  17. At least they didn't print a pic of your crashing - jerk! LOL
  18. I've got the 2mm (two of them actually) and not only slalom in mine when its chilly but trick in them even in the middle of summer so I say go thicker...
  19. that doesn't look all that choppy John... MAN UP!
  20. Thats not very funny John... Its 10 degrees in Springfield and I think I just got frostbite going from my truck to the gym (Which was only about 35 feet). BBBRRRRRR!  3 weeks till Tampa! WEEEEEEE
  21. I never really got involved in the shitstorm that was the ER bashing on Kents site but geez it pissed me off... The unfortunate thing is that I know Schnitz to be of above average intelligence (well about skiing that is) but it seems like he talks out his ass... And anyone that reads his posts on Radar can see the guy has a vendetta with Radar or Mapple or ER or something. Its unfortunate that stuff has found its way off SkiFly and onto Kents board. I've basically stayed post free on SkiFly for the past two years after I got ganged up on about a Ron Goodman Trick Ski that was mailed to him and almost never heard from again. on another note John I left you a VM - if you could give me a ring when you get a moment I've got a question for you...ÂÂÂÂ
  22. Not that kind of truth... Truth as in "Facts!" MS I'm not really sure how i like the SS yet - haven't had a lot of time on it yet. I'll be in Tampa at McCormicks in 30 days so I'll let ya know after that! I got a 66.
  23. As long as we are throwing things out there - I might as well reveal the truth! Mapple came back to Obrien because he heard I was now on one...  simple as that!
  24. Rod as a guy who is similiar in size to you, 5-11 160lbs I have been on a 67 Monza for 3 seasons and a 67 CDX before that... I just made the switch to a 66 because I rode the 66 and liked how it turned much better without sacrificing and speed... FWIW i think unless you plan on packin on some lbs over the winter a 66 would be great for you!
