Better safe than sorry... $80 for a new rope is alot better than 3 months healing broken/cracked ribs or dental work if and when you smack yourself in the grill pulling across both wakes!Â

it would be easier to stomach a new ski every few seasons if they were still in the $600-800 range with bindings... but $1200 and up for a BLANK ski is hard to tolerate. Then when your bindings wear out you've got to drop another $350-400... Which brings me to my next point, why are Animals so EXPENSIVE? They haven't changed the design in 6 seasons (outside of the color). Â

I've always stayed at the Hampton Inn on TampaGateway Boulevard, its only a mile or so from the lakes. Rooms were cheap and the continental breakfast was serviceable. The hotel is new and pretty darn nice. And if you split the room with someone its about the same price as staying on site at McCormick's, which IMO is not much better than a college dormitory. I had the pleasure of skiing with Austin in Florida recently for a few days. The kid is top notch, he'll talk skiing all day long. And F*CK he is one tall SOB! Its not even fair!

Quick question...  Is the ability to change edges and continue your outbound direction without the ski starting to turn a result of a good pull OR staying on the handle with both hands and not transferring your weight to the inside edge? Does that make sense? The reason I ask is, i find it hard to change edges without the ski wanting to start its turn??
