  1. Brent is right, Allegiant Air flies out of my town. Works out perfect, the airport is 10 minutes from my office and these regional airports are so easy! You can park, check in, get through security and be on a plane in under an hour and 15 minutes!  Left Springfield, MO at 12:50Central on Friday afternoon and was in the water pulling out for a pass at 5:15pm in Orlando! Its a thing of beauty!
  2. Nope never ridden the A1. Â 6.840, 2.510, DFT.790 Front boot: 29.5 or on HO Animal Plates one hole fwd. Rear boot 17.25 to heel rubber, not plastic.
  3. WINTER DOES SUCK, which is why i hop $59 flights to Orlando to ski in warm conditions! Winter doesn't quite suck so bad now... However Florida was pretty chilly this morning...
  4. I got a chance to ride the A2 (66) over the weekend in Orlando. Coming from an SS but having ski'd on HO products long before that I had an idea what to expect. Here are my random thoughts. Quick and stable.  Predictable, the ski never did anything that caused me concern. I was able to become comfortable on it within 2 passes. skis well at 34but rips at36! Turning the ski on both sides was effortless and never did the tip come up. I ride animals one hole back (29.5 heel to tail) and the water was breaking 3-4 inches in front of my front foot (RFF) Carried out well off the second wake, never did I feel narrow on it. and finishing the turn was almost dummy simple. I wouldn't classify the ski as 2005 Monza fast, but its got alot of speed and what I think is most important carries alot of that speed through the finish of the turn. Overall just a solid ski, something I could see buying and skiing on comfortably with some consistency for a few seasons! Also got a chance the ride the new Razor and IT IS 2005 Monza FAST :)
  5. Slot fin whistles when its set up right... otherwise I've not had any other fins whistle... I do however sing to myself before the pullout, calms the nerves!
  6. Yeah it was, but I figured out who Horton's hair reminded me of so I changed out the image! http://www.ballofspray.com/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif
  7. If Horton is getting pampered or treated like some kind of "God" then i'm out... But if he's an open target for ridicule and harrasment then I'm IN!which reminds me... Horton your hair reminds me of someone??? I just can't place it! http://cm1.theinsider.com/thumbnail/200/289/cm1.theinsider.com/media/0/80/95/50967665.jpghttp://lh4.ggpht.com/_4-6ay9R-bLE/TMS-vPWP7RI/AAAAAAAAETc/AERyyFzj0_0/s576/DSC_0668.JPG
  8. WOW! 5 pages of Bios... There's 20 minutes of my life I'm not getting back! JK, you people are interesting (maybe). I'm Bradley Beach, Mens 2 slalom/trick skier from Kansas City. I grew up a Wally Skier at Table Rock lake in the heart of the Ozarks! The third day of college (Kansas State university!)someone knocked on my door looking for the "Guy with the HO Skis" Sticker on his truck (that was me). He asked me to join the Water Ski team. I was 18 years old and the next day I saw my first slalom course and rode my first trick ski. Frankly things haven't been the same ever since... Bought a 90 Mastercraft 190... After college I was still a pretty horrible slalom skier, and an even worse trick skier. My business was web design and I went to work for a Mastercraft dealer. If you've ever shopped on BuyABoat.com or BuyAnRV.com (Both are now Powersportsnetwork.com) you've shopped two of my original sites. The MC Dealer had a ski team and they needed skiers. I ski'd in my first INT a few weeks later and met Ed Obermeier (Owner of Ez-Slalom). Ed quickly became one of my good ski buds and we ski'd together for years. Work suddenly gave me the incredible opportunity to relocate near Table Rock lake, where I grew up water skiing as a child, plus the job was too good to pass up so I moved to Springfield, MO (5 years ago today exactly!). I met Jeff and Tina Lindsey, two of the most gracious skiers in all of the waterskiing Community! They quickly took me under their wing. Taught me that to be a good water skier, you had to treat it like a 12 month sport. Offseason training, nutrition, proper training techinques, etc. I quickly improved with their help and the help of the Shull family and their incredible private site in Hartville, MO. I'm now a Mens 2 skier in AWSA as well as a regular judge. I ski at Lake Freddie, Bennett, Roger Boskus's lake in Elkins, AR and a public site on Table Rock Lake and have even written a few articles for WaterSki Magazine. Still living in Springfield, Mo. I'm the Senior Web Designer for Basspro.com, couple time state champion in INT League, Multiple Missouri state slalom titles in Mens 2 , a trick title in AR, and recently trick title in for Missouri.  Regular Rated slalom & Trick Judge And trying to run 32 off with some consistency...  Practice PB of 1@35, tournament PB of 1@32... Trick around 1680
  9. I wish I wasn't so busy at work - I would put together a nice tshirt idea! However I doubt my employer would appreciate me drawing hairy nut graphics.  But I was serious about the tshirt idea http://www.ballofspray.com/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif
  10. The tshirt could be a set of hairy nuts with the words "Baller" on one nut and "Bash" on the other! http://www.ballofspray.com/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif
  11. I met Nate at the Junior US Open, good kid, great skier! I find it humorous when people bag on these kids for coming out of the woodwork and posting good scores. For every big name skier there's a ton of these up and comers like Drew Lindsey, Brooks Wilson, Mechler Bros, Sam Greenwoods that no one knows about but have been busy skiing well for years and getting better and better. Â
  12. Jody if you're up for it I'll allow you to adopt me... granted i'm 31 years old but I love to ski and hate video games! lets talk!
  13. Someone should dig up the old Supra Comp slalom hull. Build it completely out of fiberglass and put a Fuel injected 330hp motor in it and you'd probably have the best slalom boat on the planet. 91 MC would be just as good!
  14. I'm alerting the authorities unless you mail me one! http://www.ballofspray.com/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif
  15. Hmmm by my trick calling skills that appears to be a 1900 point trick run, btw Horton you slid the WO, so no credit and no credit on your second Line Back at the end... Overall nice run! Didn't know you were anything but a swerver!
  16. What good is a binding review if you're not going to sack up and go OTF at 38? Horton you disappoint me!
  17. I also get to McCormick's annually. Usually once a month in Jan and Feb while its cold here in the midwest. Michael is always very accomodating, his site has been undergoing major improvements over the last 2-3 years! HIs slalom lake skis REALLY NICE and his boats are always top notch. the first time a few of us went there in 07 we were paying $45 per "coached" set but Michael wasn't in the boat. A few other skiers were and they weren't necessarily "slalom coaches" - and we didn't particularly care for that. We made some comments about it to Michael and every time we've been back since he's taken good care of us - made sure to be available to coach us when we were ready to ski.  Overall McCormick's is a nice site... Michael is a good dude, good coach!  Go give it a whirl and if you wanna just get wet for cheap ride the cable park! I think one slalom set will buy you an all day pass on the cable lake.
  18. I'm leaving for San Marcos in a week - glad to hear Austin is getting rain! PHEW :) That video of Austin Skiplex was downright depressing. ÂÂ
  19. you're right this isn't skifly - because i'd be happy to tell you my real name, and still makes jokes about Goode's customer service!  (FYI I don't have any ill will towards Dave Goode - just making a joke!) Bradley Beach
  20. in other news Dave's ski which was damaged in the crash will NOT be covered under warranty because Goode skis were not designed to run over buoys.
  21. I've never understood why running something in a runoff is not included in the record books?! You've still got to run the pass before it, usually just cold off the dock when it comes to run offs. IMO 41 is 41, TGas got hosed.  Whats the explanation for this rule?
  22. What a great DVD! I truly enjoyed the skier interviews talking about how each got their start skiing, etc. Freddy's interview where he talks about having to win in order to stay in skiing was a good insight into his drive and success. Willy's interview was also good. Support these Films guys - well worth the $30!
