  3. i really enjoyed that article... My skiing partner always talks about being "stacked" and I think its a great way to describe how to ski in a powerful position behind the boat.
  4. again... "not lookin down my nose" at it, there are skiers much much much much better than me that have been using dual lock longer than i've been alive. Its just not for me and I find humor in it.
  5. Ed J you misunderstand my amusement... I certainly have no insight into dual lock removal. Matter of fact the entire idea of velcro-ing myself to a piece of carbon fiber that I'm going to ride across the water at 55+ mph isn't something I can quite wrap my head around. I've just always found humor in the dual lock and watching people beat on their $1000+ skis on a dock with a mallet or hammer to seat their bindings onto the ski! Anyway your gasoline procedure just struck me as funny! It truly made me chuckle, no offense meant towards you in any way. Some people find me using Apple Suave as binding lube funny, it is what it is.
  6. Ed J! HAHA here I thought dual lock had provided me all the entertainment i could ever get... until now - your gasoline instructions gave me a nice laugh. I thank you for that!
  7. I'm 24 years younger than Ed, and 25 times better lookin!
  8. wow... the level of nerdery just went to a whole new level around here! nice work Skibug!
  9. honored to be an original baller :)
  10. Ed! Color me surprised you're giving this a VW a go!
  11. I rode the new A2 in December... I'm 165 and a 36mph skier. The ski rips! I rode the new Razor a set before the A2 and while the Razor felt faster, the video showed i was more balanced and ultimately ski'd a little better on the A2. I ran a couple at 32 off on it in December out of ski shape, that's good for me.
  12. I know a good web guy, someone should send his name and email to Dave Goode! http://www.greyststudio.com
  13. The goode site shows an entire fin... Maybe I'm wrong, it just appears that for $50 you get an entire fin. http://goode.com/images/RaleyVentralFinoutlinesm.gif
  14. Never mind I see now its not just the wing, its an entire fin... I don't remember exactly but I'm thinking Schnitz Slot Fin was close to $100, but that fin really turned the Monza into something you could ski on with some consistency.
  15. let me get this straight... FIFTY DOLLARS for a little bitty wing? Hell ask HO or Radar for an extra wing and they'll mail you one free... Goode is selling this for $50? Why am I not surprised! Is it made of enough silver to kill a werewolf? I've got 4 wings in my event bag, can't someone just post the measurements of where to mount this wing or does that come printed on a 3x5 card with my $50 wing?
  16. mail your GoPro and the softy - i'll figure it out and tell you how to use it...
  17. 38 in a dry suit on April 3rd... haha whats the problem!!!!
  18. wow really? The videos i've seen online appear impressive (footage wise) and maybe that's a testament to the editing and not the camera? Good to hear that opinion, I was about to drop some jack on one, I have a Flip and I think its a piece of shit...
  19. Horton - get with GoPro and get you an HD cam and mount it on each ski you ride and post video...
  20. Isn't this who you meant to change it to JH? /vanilla2/uploads/FileUpload/16/656.jpg
  21. This appears to be an issue in Firefox as well... Also the new forum softy doesn't play nice with Logitech mouse buttons either...
  22. For alot of years I simply ski'd up the rope till i fell... But I didn't seem to be getting much better. Then I started running BTB's before I would cut line. Add in a higher level of fitness and you have the ability to give the same level of effort in your 4th, 5th, 6th and beyond passes where you really need to improve your skiing. Now I try and balance my sets between BTB's and simply skiing up the rope in an effort to be mentally prepared to ski in a tournament where you get one shot to get it right.
  23. Everyone at Bennett's were sportin balance bands... Not this exact one, but something similar... ridiculous.
