  1. @Charliesav7 post a pic of you on the second wake and midway out to the turn. Thanks

  3. Well if we get 20 ballers to go in on it....
  4. Popcorn on the stove now.. actually Pepperidge Farms cherry turnovers... Not seeing your wake crossing leading the the offside turn really leaves one to wonder what you did to get into such a predicament. The main points to work into your new muscle memory are needing to turn the offside by pushing your knees together after the wake and drive the front kneecap over the front binding and feel like your are driving your front big toe into the water. I assume you feel safe skiing on the back foot (we all did), and you need to go to unsafe mode by standing taller on the ski and more equally weighting on each foot. The pic you posted looks like you are zipping through the offside turn with straight legs and loaded up on the back foot. As you get more ski in the water sooner before the turn and on edge, you will be rewarded with a ski that will begin turning on its own. All you need to do is rotate the hips around to the handle to drive the finish.
  5. I believe when Jeff Rodgers set the World Record on his Goode, the stock setting for depth was 2.449, and before his round he was heard by Schnitz or someone talking about a scant "half or one or one" depth adjustment, so thinking it was 0.0005 or 0.001. There are skis that you could almost throw the fin in backwards and run a pass and there are others that are very sensitive to minute fin adjustments or binding moves. The old Goode skis were 2.449, .690, 6.872 jaws with the correct Mitustoyo caliper, I don't recall the tips adjustment but it was north of 6.900. I found the 9100 and the 9500 pretty sensitive to very minor changes. Whenever I started skiing lousy, I would go back to reference stock and reset my skiing.
  6. I would try Bio-Kleen Fiberglas and hull cleaner spray before I would start any buffing wheels. It has removed red clay water stains on white hull amazingly well. Doesn’t impact the gel coat and easy to wax back to shiny finish.
  7. Read @Bruce_Butterfield article on handle control this winter. Many times....
  8. There is “no help” in driving????? In your best Tom Hanks League of Their Own rendition.
  9. @Cnewbert low80's is mid-summer bare back skiing here in NW Ohio, and I am old! I was always amazed when I skied in Fort Myers in winter that locals were skiing with a full wetsuit and I just jumped in with just my Straightline Ultra jacket on. Mid-60's with Florida sun is a heatwave!
  10. I’ve had swing away and pull off the front trailers and would tell you to only look at swing away options. Both work but the pull off option is a major hassle vs swing away.
  11. Looks like @MattP is playing around with some new aging software....
  12. I have had my share of those internal discussions. I always come back to telling myself when I am 80, I will wish that I had skied a few more passes when I could.... injuries aside. I am 61. In a couple weeks I am having a third surgery on my left wrist and this time the little finger release. The plan is to come out in Spring in better shape and stronger than this year! My Dad is 89 and took 3-years off of his life to take care of my Mom. He is finally getting back on the horse and has been golfing twice a week and sometimes squeezing an extra round in with me here and there this summer. I would sign his deal today to golf when I am 89. I just came back from a funeral service for a 64 year old. Do what you can while you can!
  13. I would get a new pump and work on the old one when I found spare time... keep it as a backup for next time!
  14. It is a sad state when 3 people screaming in the woods at night looking for Bigfoot can run for several seasons and we can't even get a World or Masters shown on ESPNII....
  15. what does a new pump cost?
  16. Did you put antifreeze in the pump for winter? I always thought that helped keep it lubricated over winter and initial fireup in Spring. ab
  17. Funky setup pulling out for gates as boat is turning left. Took a few passes to get the feel of it.
  18. They say starting the motor up with new oil can cause some contamination of the new oil. I wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal. It is only sitting for a few months, and it will be cold, which slows molecules down. I pull antifreeze through right when we take the boat out for the last time. Then drain the oil over night while it is still warm. Very hard to get up to temp in the driveway.
  19. We have a 200 trailer under our 2007. The trailer bunks stick out a few inches in the back but we haven’t had any support issues.
  20. Kiki (and I will kill her last name trying to remember how to spell it), Mugsarosa or something like that. She was on the scene for a while many years ago. That was a Goode advertisement photo.
  21. I think it looks like a Wide Ride with a flat top tip. The tip could be good on my handle pops. No tip to hit.
