  1. What's this about a horse?I'd buy a goat from you if you had those fainting ones, those dudes are bad ass!And I'm sure Proctor would buy a few to keep his grass looking good.Maybe you need to expand into new markets. On the serious side, our lakes(Ski West) no longer offer lake rental mainly because of liability issues I believe.I know several owners who got involved through skiing on rented lakes. On another note,a skier connection type of thing might help people to get involved. When I put my ski away for the season,I get out my dirtbike. And when I want to do a mid week ride, and none of my friends are available,I can usually hit one of the sights and find someone willing to miss work and head out to the desert.Just a few thoughts.Oh yeah that's right,I didn't get to ski last Thursday because my regular partners were all out of town, and someone forgot to text me a number of a possible connection. That's OK,I'll still buy the goat if you start stocking em.
  2. Take-5  John:"You know everything I just tried to teach you.......WELLLLLLLLLL........forget about it all"  Steve:OK
  3. Thanks guys, I went by Grainger and picked up a few sets of the thin kevlar liners(Dupont) for $4 ea.
  4. Tap!Tap!Give em time.Remember it's the weekend and they're out at the lake.I'm sure they'll help once they're back at work.
  5. After seeing this thread morph from top end slalom skis into bad movie re-makes,I'm thinking that it might be fun to listen to you guys B.S.ing after you start drinking...So don't forget the video when Horton comes out for the Cottonwood fall classic.Getting back on subject,I still have my 1985 Connelly HP(my first top end ski)looks like they tried a re-make on that one with their recent graphics.
  6. Who sells the thin glove liners? What brand are they?I've tried the thicker liners, and lose the feel of my handle.Do the thinner ones help with the blisters, and do you still have good grip on the handle?I don't know the thickness of the ones I tried, but I was told that there are thin liners out there somewhere. Thanks in advance.   Steve
  7. HEY HORTON...When you getting one,so I can try it out?Who's the Arvin area rep?
  8. Good luck on your search Greg. Are you new to the area?Let us know what you get.We have a place in the lower rent district just west of Paradise(Ski West). My usual ski day during the week is Thursday.Hopefully we'll see you out there.    Steve
  9. Thanks for the compliment Eric.Yeah, same Rawly.Horton keeps telling me to make more mirrors, and that he could help sell a few.I guess if I had to make a few more I could, but I'd have to raise the price and maybe make a profit. What a concept.Keep that mirror nice and clean, thanks for the plug.  Steve
  10. Gern, from what I've read on the Mastercraft sight,it sounds safe to remove the fuel pump, just wear eye protection to be safe.Go to their sight and make that decision for yourself. My boat is an 05 with the MCX engine that has been sitting since November.I'm gonna take my chances.I have around 250 hours and haven't changed the filter yet.I now plan on changing it out every other year.Depending on the condition of the filter when I remove it.
  11. http://ballofspray.com/classified-ads?page=show_ad&adid=128&catid=10 Call Joe Biafora Jr.,he might be leasing,or selling a big house on Paradise Lakes. The only downfall is Horton might start skiing with you.(yuk, yuk, yuk)  Joe-818-891-8813
  12. Dont forget to change the fuel filter on the end of the pump that is located in the gas tank. When the filter gets dirty the pump has to work harder and could go out.The filter is only $20 from Mastercraft.
  13. Thanks for the pictures.I must say that the fin block on my new Elite is about as ugly as they come. Thanks for the idea.
  14. If club skier means longer line guy, that would make me a club skier.I am a member of the Ski West ski club, and have been stuck at 28 off for years.Have never ran a 32 in my life.I realize it's a technique thing(lack of it),but I ran my first 32(34mph) yesterday on an Obrien Elite, the second time on the ski .So for me,that ski cuts it!The only other new ski that I have tried is the A-1.ÂÂ
  15. I'm just a 28 off guy,but I got on John's demo,I mean my Elite, and ran 3 of em in a row the first time on the ski.Maybe John was driving slow, because it sure was easy.I'm sure there is some small scratch,so now I have to buy it.So that's one less 67" available in the Bako area.If you want to demo one,we're at Ski West every Thursday afternoon.  Steve
  16. Mastercraft has been a sponsor of supercross in the past.I don't know if they are this year? But if you still want to ski, give California Skier(Mastercraft) a call. They have a sight about a half hour from Anaheim Stadium.Maybe Chuck will give you the supercross deal and hook you up for a ride.I believe the dealership is in Lake Elsinore.
