  1. The suit works great, warm and no leaks. I will never buy another O'neill as I found after a couple of seasons it starts to leak through the top material as it is breathable, plus there customer service is not very good. @ALPJr I would for sure send your suit for repair, great workmanship and great customer service.
  2. I have this drysuit and it works great. I also I have an O`neill Assault Hybird which the neck and arm seals were ripping. I glued them myself just to finish off the last season, didn't touch the suit, just the seals. I sent it to O'neill and they sent it back and said they would not fix it because I had glued them, (not warranty, I was going to pay fro them). So I sent it to Promotion Wetsuits and the fixed them and did a GREAT job, with great customer service and a reasonable price. They are better then the original ones, I highly recommend this company. Smaller company, great people, I have nothing but good things to say about this company and their products.
  3. Thanks for the info everyone, @cragginshred it is my front leg that will need the replacement. I had my knee cap removed 17 years ago, so as a result it wore my hip joint out. I live in Canada, so it may take a year or 2 to get it done, also I am only 53 and my doctor seems to want me to wait as along as possible. I think I can live and ski with it until I get it done, that is my plan anyways, right now I have good days and bad days, still skiing and it doesn't bother me when I ski mostly when I walk. I will ask about the "press fit" procedures. I do take some anti-inflammatory drug to help with pain, ride a bike almost every day and stretch daily. Do you know it acupuncture would help? Or anything else, physio, massage, etc? Willing to do anything that will help. Thanks for all the help
  4. Thanks @Deke and @OldGuysRule for the info, makes me feel better to know there are other guys out there that have had the replacement and are still skiing. Just so you know I am 53 and ski into 38, PB 4@38, thanks again.
  5. Thanks Ed for the info, I have know for about 5 or 6 years that I would need one someday. I haven't had to many problems with it until the last mouth or 2 with it now bothering me when I walk and a dull ache pretty much all the time. It doesn't bother me when I ski and I plan on skiing until I get it done and after,
  6. Any of you had a total hip replacement and still skiing? May have to have one in the next 2 years, just want to know if I will be able to ski again
  7. My buddy Dave Miller ripping it up again at the Big Dawg, nice skiing Dave
  8. Immersion Research has great Neoprene Lined Guide Kayak Shorts, they are shorts with a separate 1.5mm neoprene inner short attached to the waistband. They work great. Here is the link http://www.immersionresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/70003MensNeopreneGuideShortDarkestGrayFlat.jpg

  10. @Ed_Johnson not only in the morning all the time :))
  11. @chrisrossi Hey Chris, I wanted to ask you if you could talk a bit more about what you said in an earlier post, you said that before you learned how to run 35 off and shorter, you had to get in your mind set that at the shorter lines lenghts your body does not go around the bouy, just the ski. Could you explain and talk more about this? Thank you.
  12. I have not had great luck with O'neil and won't buy another one drysuit from them because of it. I own a 3 years old assault hybrid drysuit and last fall the wrist and neck seals started to rip, I didn't have a back up and wanted to keep skiing until the season was over, so I used some aqua seal glue to fix them. Just so you know there was NO glue put on anywhere near where the seals are glued to the drysuit. So I sent it into O'neil and I was told that because I glued the "rips" that they would not replace the seals. Like I said, I put no glue anywhere near the suit, just some on the seals. Not impressed with their service.
  13. Great job John and Marcus, I would love to see more of this. Marcus you are a great ambassador for the sport, loved what you had to say, very insightful, you probably don't remember but I had the chance to meet and talk to you a couple of years ago in Abbotsford, B.C. when our club tried to get you up for your tour, not only are you great to talk to about skiing, you are just a great guy. So thank you and please do it more
  14. Doug and Robbie at Sunset Ranch are great people, lots of fun and great coaching. Been there a couple of times, highly recommend it. Well worth it, I will be going down there again this summer some time.
  15. Both of my elbows have bothered me in the past, they are fine right now. I find if I have the handle snapped out of my hand, my forearms tighten up and one of my elbows start to bother me
  16. Hey jwroblew, let me know how you like it. Is it heavy? As for the O'neil Assult, I have sent a couple back for seal repairs, and they were great to deal with, but I had my last one tested to see if the zipper was leaking and I was told that pretty much the whole top section was leaking everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I love the suit but I want a dry suit not a wetsuit, I would understand if that was happening after 5 years or so but a year or 2, no.
  17. I can't seem to post on the other post, but I also have had a couple of O'neil Assults but after a season or 2 they start to leak. Has anyone tried this suit? http://stores.wetsuit.com/-strse-189/INVERSION-DRYSUIT-JET-BLACK/Detail.bok It is a Promotion looks like it would work great.
  18. Kind of neat to see Chuck Forrest skiing, haven't heard much from him in years, unreal skier in his day, 9 straight National Championships
  19. Bubble buoy's work, we have had them in our lake for 3 years now and no one has been hurt hitting them and they are not much more work in maintaining them.
  20. I have also been wondering about what has gone on at Predator Bay? All the members of the Fraser Valley Water Ski Club hope that all the club members of Predator Bay are safe and sound, and our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Corey Walters
  21. I have had the pleasure of riding in the boat when Will was skiing, he ran 3 at 41 and his form was unreal, never made one mistake, but missed the handle at 41. If you didn't get a chance to see the Masters on the Webcast, try to watch it, and watch him run 39, his 4 ball was UNREAL. As for ATL Pro Am, 8 bouy course means short lake, lots of rollers. Will is a Beast and a very nice quite guy but SUPER intense competitor. As for Nate he makes 39 look like a walk in the park, he is so smooth, looks like it takes him no effort at all.
  22. I tore my front one in double high wraps (HO Animals) OTF back foot came out front didn't. Tore my rear one 3 years later, same fall but Goode hard shells, they didn't release on a OTF
