  1. I should mention I am using a CG Fin set to stock setting including DFT with a mini wing at 7°. The ski feels really good at these settings so I think I will stay at 30.75 until I run into the problems mentioned above.
  2. What are the obvious signs your bindings are to far forward? I moved my front binding on my 19 67 Senate Pro to 30.75 and seems to work pretty good. At factory 30.5 using a Radar G10 Sequence Plate, the bindings are almost as far back on ski as they can go. At 30.5 the ski turned good onside and not as good offside. Is 30.75 to far forward, and has anyone else moved this far forward?
  3. @UWSkier yes, it was in my post, I have Zbox, it is a must have for slalom. I have not tried giving it the beans, wouldn't want to rip anyone's arms out of their sockets, but I will try over throttling on the setup and report back.
  4. I thought of this thread last night driving a ZO boat. With the ZO set at 34.2 the indicated speed fluctuated all over the place from a high 35.8 to a low 32.2. I see similar fluctuations with my PP SG Zbox running version 9.12, but ball times are very close. Skiing behind version 9.12 and ZO on a similar H.P. boat I can no longer feel a differece in practice or tournaments.
  5. Looking for the best premium spark plugs, brand and model number that do not require gap setting for my 97 GT-40?
  6. @markchilcutt - I thought the 2019 Senate Pro only comes with a blue bottom, is that an R&D ski you're riding?
  7. Bump - I haven't heard one person say they don't like the C.G. Fin, so let's talk about why we like it. I like it because it makes me more confident on my ski and it's pretty.
  8. So, my boat is a 97. It came from San Jose, CA with the rudder ground just like the one above. I was told by and old Nautique engineer they did that on my 91 to ease the pressure out of a full turn to the right, not to load the steering. Anyway here is what it looks like now and it is one of the best steering bubble backs I have driven.
  9. I will add this disclaimer, it worked on my boat, but it may not work on another boat.
  10. What I understood was the rudder load is currently neutral. The trim tab only returns the trailing edge in that area to the original shape, but adds adjustment so you don't have to do anymore grinding.
  11. Yes, it's worked flawlessly for 7 years now.
  12. You could order an adjustable trim tab from NautiqueParts.com and have it installed by a machine shop.
  13. @S1Pitts - I agree, the CG Fin works better behind the 1997 Nautique Masters Edition.
  14. What are the colors for the 2019 pro-build?
  15. @"bf I have no idea why your post has a comment from me. I like every comment I can read on the CG Fin. Maybe @Horton can remove it.
  16. @Ed_Johnson, looking at the settings you used on the Vapor, forward DFT with the CG Fin, the numbers are much different than what I found to work. When I went forward the ski turned sharp, but the tail felt like it slid in the turn and the back of the ski became unstable or loose crossing the wake. I am at .742 DFT now and find this position to work well. Did you try moving DFT back from your standard fin settings by .030, at a minimum, as suggested by @AdamCord, and if so what were the results?
  17. Has anyone had the opportunity to try the Denali S-wing on a non Denali ski with the CG fin, and if so, how big in comparison to a standard wing is the S-wing?
  18. I have no complaints, love my CG Fin. I just wanted to note that future design change should include leaving a little more metal in the back notched area of the fin.
  19. @Bill22 - Thanks for posting that picture. My fin is real close to touching that set screw. I am back .035 from recommeded and the back of the fin is still in the area the set screw can not reach.
  20. @Than_Bogan - Yes, travel is limited by the clamp that holds the fin. The back of the CG fin sits in the clamped area infront of the open space seen in this picture with a stock fin. I will post the same picture with the CG fin tonight.
  21. The longer DFT set screw will not work in my situation, the notch in the back of the fin is forward of the allowable range a set screw can move. But as others have said, the set screw is not necessary, but I would add it's a nice luxury when setting DFT. I'm positive the Adams will improve the design after they recieve feedback from the first adopters.
  22. @jipster43 I think that is normal, I have the same issue with the rear set screw for DFT not touching the fin on two different skis each with a different fin block.
  23. The Wakeye app is completely useless to me. It does not work with my android Samsung 8+. The video is wavy and unusable. The camera mount is useless to me until the Wakeye app for android gets fixed.
  24. I recieved my Non-Denali Ski CG Fin today.
