  1. @Horton - Is there still a classified area on BOS for selling ski gear?
  2. I am still waiting for @Horton to Test the 2017 Vapor Probuild.
  3. @Jody_Seal - Thank you for the information. I wish PCM would make some more, it's hard to see how it wouldn't be profitable with so many of the GT-40 engines in use.
  4. @Jody_Seal - How many years did PCM build the GT-40? Is the 300-M new or used? Can you get more when you sell the one you have?
  5. @santangelo For those without smart phones, have you considered making this app available for PCs?
  6. My best guess is 30 inches. Sometimes after skiing we'll put 8 - 10 people in the boat and go to the lodge for beers and some food.
  7. Well, maybe I am not to old to learn something new. I started putting 303 protectant on my 1986 MasterCraft. I used 303 protectant on the float plane so I knew it was good stuff, then I stared using it on the Mastercraft and then on my last two Ski Nautiques. Maybe it was because the MasterCraft had vinyl rainbow stripes instead of gelcoat for color.
  8. When do you apply 303 protectant to your boat, before wax or after wax?
  9. More specifically. 1996 Ski Nautique with six people, full fuel and gear (1000 pounds or more) or as permitted on the CG data plate located next to the driver. The bottom is concrete or solid with 8 inch diameter rocks in the middle of a tournament lake that tappers to zero. I am talking both full reverse and full throttle from a dead stop with boat fully loaded.
  10. For a Ski Nautique, I need to know the manufactures guidelines or recommendation for actual safe operating depth at gross weight?. If you do not have the published depths available, please add your personal recommendation. I know some folks think that the 24 inch draft listed in the specifications is sufficient.
  11. @oldjeep - point well taken. I just thought someone in the know might have a really cheap fix where just one can of foam and one can of paint would fix 12 buoys.
  12. Is there a foam or other product you can fill old buoys with? I have a few older buoys with pin holes and small cuts I would like to use for boat gates and repaint yellow.
  13. Very cool, I didn't realize Wade is only 48, thought he would be in his mid 50's. He must of been pretty young competing on the pro tour back in the day.
  14. I had that exact ski and loved it until the black and green one came out (which I still have). I can't believe it's been almost 30 years! @ Horton, it looks like you were actually able to ride it around a few buoys, were you able to somewhat dial it in?
  15. I've thought about this a lot after brusing my ribs in fall a couple years back. The ribs I hurt were on my side below my arm pit. None of the vest I've used have any protection in this area. Personally I have never fallen and belly flopped on the floatation or cushioned part of the vest across the front of my chest. If there were some cushion in this area on the side of the vest, it may not help and would likely interfere with arm movement. I've often wondered if a semi flexible plastic shield might help, but I'm sure there could be problems with that idea.
  16. Looking at the Instagram feed on the home page, it looks like Chris Parrish is using a Radar Carbitex Vapor Boot in front on a Mapple T3. Any one know if he is testing this set up or if this is his current ride?
  17. @scotchipman - You will like this years BOA. I, like you, have been using these bindings since the first RS-1s. One improvement is it takes less time to tighten them up, another is the outer shell stays looking new after a lot of use. But over all, the feel from the skiers perspective has not changed much. I think this years liners are the best yet.
  18. @Mark_Matis - I will try it. Seems like a really good way to get more fluid out.
  19. @Mark_Matis - can you provide more details on disconnecting the transmission line going to the oil cooler and the advantage this provides, does it drain more fluid?
  20. I'm not from down under, but these settings from Performance Ski and Surf might come in handy.
  21. Another thing to remember, if you have a friend who needs the upgrade you can order two installs on one stick and save approx. $50.00 bringing the price down to $125.00.
  22. @DW - I run PP StarGazer /Zbox version 8.004 R, just ordered the upgrade to version 9 for my 1997 Ski Nautique Bubble Back with GT-40. This setup works very good on this particular boat. I have no issues going directly from practice behind my old boat to a new 200, MasterCraft, Malibu or CP at tournaments. The last upgrade to v8.004R was a huge advance over the previous software and worth every penny. I expect v9 to be even better and easier to dial in.
  23. @jetpilotg4 - Yes, the long days help, but we have a pretty decent regular season. The ice goes out around the 1st of May and freezes over middle of October. The best thing about the long days is the water warms up pretty fast. @bigskieridaho - I think there are only 3 or 4 of us that are regular Ballers on this site that ski tournaments. Any Baller wanting a ski ride in the Anchorage area can PM me or @AKShortline or @AkBob.
