  1. There are more tournament boats in Alaska than you would think. There are 8 on the lake I live on. I would guess 50 or more in the State including several 200s. There are at least five active slalom courses within a 30 mile radius of my house located on Wasilla Lake a short drive from Anchorage.
  2. I'm curious, why are skiers on BOS recommending Carbitex Vapor users toss the plastic stiffeners? I tried the boots with and without them and with different combinations (one on my inside ankle, etc.) I settled with both stiffeners in the front boot and no stiffeners in my back boot. With this configuration I feel more comfortable than without them. I think it's not a bad idea to give them a try after getting comfortable with the bindings and decide for yourself to use them or not.
  3. @Skidawg - Do you use Carbitex Vapor Boots or a Carbitex Vapor boot for your front foot and something different for your back foot?
  4. Not sure where this originated, but boy is it accurate! "The more I practice, the luckier I get"
  5. @Horton you don't always get what you want, you get what you need...
  6. I would like to be able to view the scores on BallofSpray website. Next to the score, I would like to see the ski brand and model the skier is riding, the boat manufacture that pulled the pass. The list should include all participants so you can see where your favorite skiers missed their passes.
  7. Will the BallofScores app run on a Windows 10 PC
  8. @eddie_roberts_jr - My first Competitor looked more like spray or a sound frequency wave. My second Competitor a year later had the trees. Was there a difference or did I just imagine it?
  9. My profile says joined December 2007, but I think it was closer to May 2007. There was some sort of conflict with my original login, but Horton eventually fixed it.
  10. Right handed basketball players jump pushing off with their left leg to dunk or do a layup, so their left leg becomes stronger over time.
  11. The poll may need more categories. I just don't leave it forever after getting it close. I will test other settings I hear about @ballofspray just to see how they work. Especially if @SkiJay makes a recommendation.
  12. Here are some pictures of the 2017 fin block on my 2017 Vapor Pro-Build. The new block is the easiest I have ever used for setting up a fin.
  13. @mbabiash - Thanks, there is a bit of confusion concerning the late model 2016 Vapors that have the new 2017 fin and fin block which is the same as the new 2017 Vapor Pro-Build, and the 2016 Vapors that have the 2016 fin and fin block. If you have a late model 2016 Vapor or 2017 Vapor Pro-Build with the new fin and fin block, you have to be very careful you don't try and chase 2016 Vapor settings that have last years fin and fin block, they are different! I'd like to give a big shout out to @SkiJay for bringing the difference between the 2017 fin and fin block to the attention of all of us here at ballofspray, @SkiJay recommendations are spot on.
  14. @mbabiash - Are those the settings Trent is using on his 2017 Vapor Pro-Build or were those settings for the 2016 Vapor?
  15. Anyone have video of Whitney's 39 and 2@41 at the US Open
  16. @SkiJay - Have you come up with any additional conversions for fin differences between the 2016 & 2017 Pro-Build? The first recommendations in your post above from September 15th really helped and I recommend everyone riding the Pro-build consider trying them.
  17. Always double Radar boots, now 2 Vapor Carbitex boots on sequence plate. Wear rear boot loose. Reason for double boots is to keep feet warm in cold water. I use the stiffeners with the front boot, but not the back boot.
  18. @richfoster - Let us know how it works out with ski size and tuning on the 17 Vapor. It's nice to hear what works for the guys at your level in your division, I am catching up age wise, but a full pass behind your tournament PB. I am 6'2" 190+ and just started riding the 17 in a 67". I only have a few sets on the ski and it is working pretty good. The ski took me to my average on my last set and I was pleasantly surprised to get there so quick on a new ski.
  19. @richfoster - What ski were you on before you decided to buy and try the 17 66" Vapor Pro-Build?
  20. PP Star Gazer w/Z-box. 1997 Nautique GT-40. Pull feels closer to the Nautique 200 than the Malibu or MC with ZO, but all are close enough not to impact my buoy count. Ski B2.
  21. Maybe @Horton has surpassed his all time PB testing the new Vapor Pro-build and is waiting to ride it in a tournament to make the new score official before reporting the results.
  22. @Horton - have you taken the new 2017 Vapor for a ride?
  23. You can see the new fin block in the video on the Radar Facebook site. It looks really nice.
  24. @eddie_roberts_jr - Do the new boots still mount to a sequence plate?
