  1. This past Saturday, I reinstalled the impeller pump with a new impeller on my 1998 SNOB and it fired right up. Idled over to my ski buddy's dock and picked him up, and then noticed the temp gauge was at 180; it always leveled out at 160 in the past. I also could not feel any warm water coming out the exhaust. Thought maybe I installed the pump on backwards so we switched it around. Not good! It was correct the first time. Switched it back and the temp gauge leveled off at 160 like it was supposed to. Still not sure what happened the first time; maybe a stuck thermostat?
  2. I just shipped a ski from Kentucky to Orlando. FedEx $40; UPS $82.
  3. @perfski Bill, thanks for the message, and yes I bought the ski new from your shop. I will send you an e-mail. @MuskokaKy and @Stevie Boy Thanks for the messages; hopefully it will be resolved. @eleeski Thanks for your offer; you are too kind.
  4. I have a 2017 67” Senate Lithium that has developed a “crease” that you can see in the photos. I bought the ski new and it has had two seasons of light-to-medium use since I only ski 15–22 off, 30-32 mph. Sort of disappointed that this has developed and I am not sure what to make of it. Has anyone else had this happen to a Senate or any other ski? I bought a new ski just before I noticed this damage, and I was either thinking about keeping the Senate for my ski buddies and me to use from time to time (they ski better than me), or sell it. I contacted Radar and with the ski already past the one-year warranty period, the best they could do was to offer a discount on a new ski. But I don’t need to buy a new ski; just hoping to keep using this one or selling it. What do you think? Does it seem OK (i.e., safe) to continue to use? If the ski has indeed “failed” I do not want to sell it to someone else. Or should it just be tossed? Thoughts? In the photo below, the white tape shows where you can first notice the crease beginning and where it ends, if you were looking at it in person. Even though it may look like a crack, it is just a crease (indent). The mid-point of the crease is 30" from the tail.
  5. Thanks for the recommendations. Sounds like I will definitely being trying the Assault and possibly a few more.
  6. I have looked through past threads on this topic and the last ones to mention specific vests are over a year old (unless I missed one), plus some of the newer vests may have improved fit and finish. I want to move to a CGA vest for safety reasons. Does anyone use or have experience with the vests listed below? (I know some are considered wakeboard vests, but if they are just as good for course skiing, that's fine with me.) Other CGA vest recommendations are welcome as well. I know I am looking for a unicorn here: low profile, flexible, doesn't absorb much water, and CGA. Thanks! 1. Ronix Darkside Capella 2.0 CGA Wakeboard Vest 2019 2. O'Neill Reactor USCG Vest 2020 3. O'Neill Assault LS USCG Vest 2019
  7. I just switched from a 2017 Senate Lithium to a 2019 HO Syndicate Omni, and love the Omni. I ski 30-32 mph, 15 off, and the Omni makes the passes seem "easier." It has made me want to go after 34 mph now. My skiing is two-thirds course, and one-third open water. I highly recommend trying the Omni in your situation.
  8. Cleaned my boat inside and out this past weekend with the Bucket of Babes products. Great stuff!
  9. I corresponded with @tjones999 about also making some lower angle gauges since some skiers like the wing set with a lesser angle on the CG Fin. He is going to produce a set all the way down to 4 degrees in 1/2 degree steps. Plus the gauges will be wider to accommodate the low wing placement on that fin. He will post them on ski-it-again as a new set. Looking forward to buying and using them.
  10. @Moffattra Oh that's right! Plus the puck for Zero Off.
  11. Based on two other threads this summer, this solves both issues: electric boat motor and an outboard. Now I am trying to figure out where to attach the ski pylon. :D https://youtu.be/Q-abLSxW3Ro Full story: A new electric boat speed record: 88 mph.
  12. On my 1998 SNOB I am running an Acme 422 that I bought earlier this summer when my OJ prop was damaged. I had the OJ prop repaired and it is now my spare. The 422 seems to do a great job.
  13. Tuxedo, or just "The Tux" Reasoning: Grey jacket & pants (front, back and stripe accents), white shirt (main hull), and black tie (Bimini top).
  14. Does anyone have recommended settings for a 67" 2017 Lithium Senate? Thanks in advance.
  15. Great drone work. The scene at the 2:00 mark made me nervous, however. (Don't try this at home!)
  16. @LOTW The "died while towing a skier" has happened to me several of times over the years with my 1998 SN. Here are three top possibilities that solved my problems: (1) safety kill switch connected to the lanyard the driver is "supposed" to wear (this cuts the fuel off, not the electricity); (2) low pressure fuel pump; and (3) water/fuel filter in the FCC. The safety kill switch will look OK but corrodes inside; this happened last fall. With a bad low pressure fuel pump (two years ago), the boat will usually start when cold but will die when operating temperature is reached (around 160 degrees). All three are easy fixes.
  17. @6balls Thanks for the information. Yes, sizing is confusing with lots of ski gear from various brands, especially for vests and gloves.
  18. @6balls Which size vest did you decide on? XL or XXL? Was it the NITRO? Have you received it yet and tried it on? If so, how does it fit? Just curious because I decided to return my medium EVO, and want to order a NITRO, but shipping costs are starting to add up (both ways), and about to spend even more to receive a NITRO, I am trying to get it right this time; either the L or XL. Thanks.
  19. @6balls I am 5'10" with a 33" waist and 162 pounds. I just received a medium EVO and boy is it tight. It is a little of a struggle to get it zipped up, and is very snug once zipped (and tight under the arm pit). I wish I had a large size EVO handy to just to see if that is what I should have ordered, but a medium is what they recommended over the phone. You may want to consider a large.
  20. I am going to give the Stokes EVO 2 a try; ordered mine yesterday.
