  1. Here are just a few: short-line, buoy, bump, hit it, tow bar...
  2. @gt2003 I used a two-wheeled trailer dolly for years (similar to the one in your Amazon link). Very handy and makes moving your boat and trailer around a breeze.
  3. I have this one on order after doing a lot of research: Radar Vapor X-Vest 2.0 Front Zip CGA Life Vest 2017. I was using an O'neill Outlaw for years (non-USCGA), but after a nasty hit on the head from my ski this past summer that could have knocked me out, I decided the extra flotation of a USCGA vest is a better choice. I hope the Radar X-Vest lives up to its hype.
  4. Looked at the link immediately above and the page loaded just fine. But when I clicked on the "Home" button at the top that page, the homepage came up blank (completely white). Same thing even after I refreshed the page. I am on a laptop. This is the address: https://bindingsideup.com/

    Woodies

    Part of my collection.
  6. Try the southern pronunciation of "Hey there kid." Heh're kid...get out of my yard!
  7. No, but I used Gorilla Deck for my roof. Does a great job of keeping the water off the boat. Installed it myself, and the next step is to build stairs to the roof and put railing up. It is made to be walked on. In the photos below the Gorilla Deck is on the roof only. They make Gorilla Lock for the decking which I will use when the current wood deck boards need replacing. I have had the roof up for one year and so far, so good. Lifetime warranty.
  8. @ESPNSkier Sorry to hear about your injury, but us 60+ year old guys skiing 32 mph can still heal OK. :D This past summer I fractured a rib, and 2 months later split my scalp open (needed 8 metal staples but at least the ski did not break). I think I have healed back to normal which is great because I was never normal before!
  9. Check your manual to be certain, but for starters you should at least drain your engine block just in case you get a cold snap. Also drain other locations with water, like the transmission cooler. If you are relying on a heated garage, the electricity might go out for days after an ice storm. I put antifreeze in after draining the block, but then I live in Kentucky which has more than its fair share of cold snaps (very cold!). The antifreeze may also help with corrosion. There are a number of other procedures you can perform, like fogging the cylinders.
  10. I have had it a couple of times, and if you are like I was, you can hardly walk across the room when you first get up in the morning. The advice given by the others above will help. Just do a little internet research and develop your own PT plan. After suffering for a week or so, you may hopefully find it to be suddenly gone. Good luck.
  11. I skied in Kauai a number of years ago, not in a course but slalomed on the river. I heard there was a course on the river at one time. I am not sure if they are still in business, but I still have the brochure: Kauai Waterski & Surf Company, 4-356 Kuhio Hwy, Kapaa. Phone (808) 822-3574 or (808) 344-7915.
  12. OK. I hope to install it in the next two to three weeks.
  13. Looks great. It seems that vinyl decking has improved in recent years; I have heard of some disappointing results with earlier adopters. I am getting ready to use a vinyl product called Gorilla Deck on the roof of my dock since I want the top of the roof to also be used as a deck. It is supposed to channel the rain water away so the boat will not get wet. Hope it works.
  14. I have a nice Senate for sale: http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=25843
  15. @Ilivetoski As has been mentioned several times above, and most recently by @h2oski1326, do your best to decide on a career you will really enjoy long term. I know that is a difficult decision sometimes, and a lot of people switch career paths several times during their life. Over the years, I have had a good number of advisees who have no answer when I ask them what kind of job they want after graduation. They just heard accounting was a good major, but did not really have a interest in it. So I advise them into other majors after some long discussions. Plus, there are a large number of careers where you do not need a college degree if you have the requisite skill and passion. I will take off my academic adviser hat now...I just wish it was not so cold this week so that we could get out and ski...
  16. @Ilivetoski I believe the answer is "Yes" if the job experience is connected to your program of study. For example, a physical education related major might allow this for credit if internships/co-ops are accepted as course credit in the major. There is usually an internship/co-op director at the school who will contact the employer to determine if the experience is worthy of course credit; you need to be involved in actual coaching related duties for a certain number of hours rather than just picking up trash along the shoreline all summer (even though someone has to pick up the trash and mow the grass, and you, as an unpaid intern, will be called upon to do so from time to time). In our business school, co-op positions are quite common, and most of our accounting majors get co-op course credit as an accounting elective. Many of these co-op positions lead to jobs upon graduation.
  17. @Ilivetoski Yes, I teach at EKU and live in Lexington. Let me know if you want a campus tour; I will be glad to show you around.
  18. @Ilivetoski My university has the aviation major; if you are serious, check it out. http://aviation.eku.edu/academic-programs
  19. @OB Hmmm...you have it better than me, a college teacher! Yes, life is good...
  20. @OB Well said: "Choose the balance between maximum time off and highest pay." And yes, "choose a career that's not 'work.'"
  21. @Ilivetoski Yes, finance will be more heavily involved with math, more so that accounting. It may be because I like math, but there does not seem to be a lot of higher math in most accounting jobs; mainly algebra, statistics, sampling, ratios, etc. Working within a company and depending on the company's size, you could specialize in tax (Federal & state), internal audit, or management/cost accounting.
  22. I am an accounting professor, so of course I would recommend the accounting major. Every company of any size needs its own accountant(s).
  23. I have always been partial to the colors of my '98 SNOB.
