  1. Pulled an empty trailer from Tenn to Texas last year. Reduced the pressure to 35 psi to smooth out the ride on the trailer. No issues on the trip.
  2. At more than 500hp, this would make an interesting repower for a jump boat. https://motortrend.com/news/tesla-crate-motor-ev-conversion-small-block-v-8/?sm_id=organic%3Asm_id%3Afb%3AMT%3Atrueanthem&fbclid=IwAR3HtqGqsSYBbiSWG_IWGDqaMrsPCYq_KGyxyAro3RhPDvPnqIs3KtdYqf4
  3. Why did the entire engine need to be replaced due to a winterization snafu? Doesn't that engine have closed cooling. I know all of the 6L 409s I've seen from that time period had closed cooling?
  4. I like a full tank. Less room for condensation to form.
  5. @Sethro Malibu put 6L PCM Crusaders in their ski boats for a few years.
  6. The S turn is necessary to turn back into the wake before the next set of boat guides. If you miss a buoy and just swing wide and up on the boat, you will eventually lose speed and can return to the wake without a big hit.
  7. The skiers know which fellow skiers have integrity and which ones don't.
  8. @lhoover I'm pretty sure your boat is DBW. My 2010 is DBW, but it has a traditional throttle cable that leads to the DBW potentiometer that sits on top of the engine.
  9. There's already enough shenanigans going on with the rotations. What order would teams have to do their rotations. They wait long enough and make enough changes in their line-up the way it is. Now interject a timing to making the rotations and things get out of hand quickly. Its an interesting idea, but as the last guy in line trying to get running orders loaded into the computer for webcast graphics, - NO THANKS.

  11. Pulling for Texas State (non-midwest team) to get one of the wildcard spots this year. It would be a shame for the sponsor school not to qualify for nationals at their home site!!
  12. I've used PVC glue to patch some holes. For larger areas, I've used fiberglass cloth to reinforce the patched area with some (but not complete) success.
  13. I’ve got 3300 hours of experience with that engine on 3 different boats. I won’t say they have been completely trouble free, but I wouldn’t hesitate to put another one in my boats. Not sure what you’ve been smokin?
  14. Geno used to use a long strip of Velcro as the safety release. Not sure what he uses now. That was 10+ years ago.
  15. @MarkTimm thanks for the offer, but I'm on the IR list and not skiing tournaments this year. Maybe next year, but we will see.
  16. Heading that way now to help with the webcast. Looking forward to relief from the Texas/Kansas heat.
  17. I've got a 6.1 (67.5 inch) and a T2 (67.5 inch). Due to back issues, I haven't skied on them in a couple of years. At this point, I'm not ready to give up the dream of getting back out there on them. They might be for sale in a couple of years. For now, I would take at $3000 each for them.
  18. @Lars I'm pretty sure you can be a member of ASWA as required by your club without having SafeSport. SafeSport is only required to ski events.
  19. http://www.iwwfed-ea.org/classic/22USA003/
  20. Anyone know where we can watch the waterski portion of the world games coming up in a few days?
  21. I may just enter my neighbors Centurion as the only boat used :D
  22. I'm in Katy about 40 minutes west of downtown if that is more convenient for you. Just shoot me a PM.
