  1. My last ski (D3 NRG) was the first one that I could ride starting at stock settings. Every previous one, I've used the difference from stock from my old ski, and tried to apply those differences to the stock settings on the new ski, using some kind of magic alchemy bullcrap. Was usually an interesting experience. Waiting on a c85, and hoping that stock gets me somewhere. :)
  2. Great stories. I've hit fish and turtles with my ski. Got hit square in the forehead by a huge dragonfly once, during my gate pullout. Big enough to leave a mark. Funny thing was afterwards I can recall seeing it coming from a long way out, getting bigger and bigger until we collided. I remember thinking it was weird that neither one of us got out of the way.
  3. Looks like the different flex/bending profiles are no longer a thing?
  4. Can't embed this one, but worth the click. Reminds me of my skiing sometimes... https://www.facebook.com/100058192556811/videos/177385220877895/
  5. The only one I've ever owned, so I can't compare, but I do love it. Syndicate changing towel
  6. Friend of mine just got one from Corey Vaughn's shop, and she loves it. LINK
  7. @S1Pitts - https://anchor.fm/spraymakers
  8. If you truly filled to the top of the filler neck, It's possible that warming and cooling cycles vented out some of the fuel. Does your tank have an external vent fitting on the hull?
  9. Yep, I've even used nails as a temporary holder, replacing them one at a time w/the short screws.
  10. I skied with one of those bands for a while, and it did seem to help. Maybe it just reminded me not to take crazy hits and do other dumb stuff. What ultimately solved golfer's elbow for me was starting with both palms down, and doing Theraband exercises faithfully (Google "reverse tyler twist").
  11. You could try the magnet trick at Full disclosure: I haven't tried it since I don't have a iPhone, but have heard of it working with some success.
  12. @CollinSpradlin - Graphics? Binding screw pattern? Couldn't think of anything else.
  13. @Than_Bogan Well, "ordered", to be clear. Apparently, no c75 on the shelf, so looking for the new one?
  14. I guess I solved that problem, but have no idea how how I did it. My wife pre-ordered one of these for me for Christmas. I probably definitely didn't deserve it, and hadn't been whining any more that usual about getting a new ski. Maybe she ate some bad sushi, or accidentally bonked her head. My guess is that she just figured this will keep me out of the house more than usual this summer, and that I'll be a lot more agreeable when I'm there. :) Now the question is, which is worse: Waiting for this beauty to arrive, or waiting for the water to warm up once it's here!
  15. If this is a duplicate discussion, please feel free to delete. It it's not, I can't believe none of you guys already posted this. I am anxiously awaiting...
  16. @Dockoelboto We haven't seen any dead ones in our lake yet, but other fish (bass, catfish, sunfish) far outnumber the carp, and turnover of those fish doesn't present a problem. Although the carp are much larger, I would assume that scavengers might take care of one or a couple dead ones at a time. Even though they have an advertised shelf life, it's doubtful that you would get a massive kill all at once, as long as you don't way overstock and therefore they don't have enough food. They ONLY eat weeds.
  17. We had great luck with the carp. We had dense weeds growing out to a 7 foot depth, and all the way to the surface. 20 acre lake, 100 fish mowed it all down in a season. Still going strong after 7 years. Rarely see them, but they can get pretty big. If it's legal to stock them where you are, your can buy them from a hatchery. Our lake is in NC.
  18. Maybe if your grip is wrong, it's time to switch your forward foot to match it. :D
  19. I also like to think that a proper stack guarantees that your weight (and/or the boat's energy) is centered on the ski's sweet spot, allowing it to work as designed.
  20. I've learned a lot from this thread. But most of all, I've learned that my ski buds can no longer refer to me as a tweaker for a few minor fin adjustments. :)
  21. I would suggest using latex surgical tubing instead. We used to use bungy-type shock cord, and it wears out relatively quickly compared to the latex tubing.
  22. The bottom of that ski with the entire logo showing would make a great ad. if he weren't also moving at the speed of light. :)
  23. Based on what was under the Christmas tree, skiing on a new ski! :) Edit to correct my OT post: Attempt to keep my outbound direction off the second wake, while not letting my hips drop behind me. On my new ski!!
  24. Regarding buckles - My experience is not the same as yours, since I wear a cga vest, but I did unbuckle a vest on an otf fall this year. Zipper held, but it goes to show you that almost anything is possible depending on the fall.
