  1. Motivator = April I've been trying to ski like a girl for years.
  2. @Cnewbert Now I know why I'm not an Apple person. :) What browser are you using to save? Seems like the iPad likes to download "to an app". I found a couple of articles that describe it. One Anudder one Uno mas
  3. @Cnewbert yep, missed the part about direct to iPad. Looks like there are some alternative ways to get it onto iOS. Didn't dig far but came across a way to do it in a browser, using this site . Should work on iPad, since most of the download options seem to be formats that are compatible. Hope this helps.
  4. WinX Youtube Downloader works well to solve the download issue.
  5. Wow, having a hard time even getting past that first one ball! Must've backed it up 10 times. Wicked awesome.
  6. A few options, and maybe some things that can be pieced together here
  7. This link is an example of the type I was looking at. Once we found out how effective such a small town is at knowing what's going on, decided we didn't need it. So no practical experience, sorry. Will rent you our badass farmer, though. :)
  8. How rural are we talkin' here? Before the first house was built on our lake, it was often empty. Briefly considered some cell-enabled game cams. They will transmit a pic in real time when triggered. Turns out that nosy neighbors combined with having the most feared individual in the county farming your land for you is a pretty good deterrent.
  9. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7DqPCfl7ES/?igshid=1q68rowym2sl2 Gotta admit, this one makes me a little angry...
  10. My android phone is fine on most mounts, but several friend's later iPhones are terrible using the main camera, due to optical stabilization. For what it's worth... There are many videos on the web that show how to use a small magnet to lock down the lens. Seems legit, and can't argue with the results.
  11. +1 for "Just go ahead and install the Heatercraft". It only takes a long afternoon, and after the first hole is cut, the pucker factor goes down significantly. Being able to stuff that heater tube up your shirt after a chilly set is well worth it imo.
  12. Probably not the answer you're looking for, but... I had a D3 block freeze up, and nothing would free it up. I tried penetrating oil, heat, hammer on a wrench. Nothing. Bought another block, and have used anti-seize on every ski screw since.
  13. Completely open to the boat. Equal arm pressure.
  14. @mfjaegersr If non-toxic RV a/f is used, it's not an issue. I start on a hose, in the street, in front of my house, to make sure it starts before I hit the water. Just let it fly.
  15. I use the -60 that has some advertised corrosion protection. I like that the diluted freeze protection is still sufficient, just in case. Slightly ot, regarding the heater: I put a "Y" hose valve at each end of the heater with a short amount of unterminated hose on one side. This allows the heater core to be blown out if it's going to go below freezing, and also allows AF to be poured directly through the core for winterizing. Bonus that it allows the heater to be shut off in the summer, when you can use it as a fan in between sets.
  16. We have found that using the selfie camera on an iPhone works better. On my mount, Android phones are fine, but later iPhones have a lot of shake and jello using the front facing camera.
  17. I use Google sheets, too. Bonus is that it's accessible on your laptop, or your phone on the boat. I don't track each set, but record every change with notes on the results.
  18. So many variables - it depends on exactly what's happening with you and your ski. Get video of you skiing. Then, post here, and/or get this book.
  19. Interesting question. I'm 59, and started course skiing in my early 30's. It had been a few years since I skied a pb, but occasionally have been clearing a 35 and struggling into 38 for the last several seasons. Have taken pro lessons a few times - huge help. This year has been better than ever, regularly clearing 35's, and getting deep into 38 often. Credit to having friends that are as committed (or more so) as you are to the sport. Without getting out there often, there's not enough time to develop the skills needed to progress at some level.
  20. Might just wanna tie some surgical tubing around the arm where you want them. The great thing about the novice balls is that you can move them as needed, depending on the target audience.
  21. The sections aren't actually even foot measurements. See the attached image - the last column will tell you how long each section should be in feet. Not saying yours is correct, but this will get you closer to knowing how far off, if at all.
