  1. I wasn't exactly sure where I was, so I had to take a closer look. Yep, it's 5 ball on the Bird River in MD.
  2. @Ralph Lee I know, right? That particular course is on a tidal inlet on the Chesapeake Bay. We use surgical tubing to try a take up the slack when the water's low, but they could use some water in them for sure...
  3. Love this one of my son taken this year Looks a little like his dad. Gonna have to work hard to stay ahead of him. (and that's ok with me!)
  4. Meant to post this one up, too. What a great view approaching the course at sunrise! Looks like if you fell in the wrong spot you just might fall off the end of the world.
  5. @nleuth Close! but that's not the CN Tower...
  6. The cool clear water feels fast, but this has got to be the best view I've ever had from the course. Any guesses on the location?
  7. @BRY, That's in NC. Side by side slalom would be awesome, but right now it's a little too short. We have the current course set on an angle to get 1750ft. Plans are to lengthen the lake at some point, then it should be doable.
  8. Ours is getting its first house this month!
  9. Holy cow, there's one only 10 minutes from my place! Who knew?
  10. I ski with a guy that used to routinely pop the handle over the boat. As a driver, I used to duck down every time I felt it let loose! As part of my ski-smarter-to-keep-skiing-longer program I tend to not hang onto crazy slack anymore, but I once landed a handle right in an unsuspecting observers lap.
  11. Ha!! @Bbrandau, you're not that old yet are you? Standing invitation, man, would love to see you.
  12. @Chef23 next time your in MD, drop me a message and I'll get you a pull.
  13. Awesome @MattP, where have you guys been for the last 5 years? Would love to ski with you if you're back in the area and we're at the lake. We're planning on building homes and moving to that site in the next year or two, so will be there full time. Drop a PM if you can ever ski with us.
  14. Definitely a possibility, @Stevie Boy. We've though about doing that to limit the amount of earth we have to move. Another 100' would make a huge difference.
  15. Yes it is, but it's doable. We'd like to dig out the NW corner a bit. The way it is now, no time to wipe your eyes and fix your shorts and hair. Gotta pick one and go.
  16. That's our site, @garn. I've often wondered why someone hadn't spotted the course yet. It is near Plymouth, NC (Google "Arsky Lake" in Google maps). We're not always there, but try to spend as much time as we can skiing it in the summer. If any ballers are going to be in the area, send me a PM and we'll try to hook you up.
  17. That sad pic and dog are mine, unfortunately. Our ice is gone and we've finally had a chance to get out and make sure all is well after a looong winter! I'd love to ski the new Prostar to be able to compare to the 200.
  18. I am one of those that successfully (and quickly) sold to Korea via SIA. If in doubt email Larryg @ ski-it-again. He was very helpful in letting me know that a specific user was legit.
  19. '98 MC. Just under 2,500 hours now. Also using a 2012 SN 200 with about 300 hrs on it now. SN drives a little tighter...
  20. Ski PP most of the time, but learned that I ski the best (lose the fewest balls) using A3 in ZO.
  21. All of the above. Earlier this year, I met a great group of guys that took me and my son in for a daybreak set at their site on public water. Never met them before, sight unseen, they gladly offered up personal equipment (lesson learned: we didn't bring our ski stuff on our trip), pulls on multiple boats, and the familiar companionship and support that I've seen in skiers everywhere. I was in one of the boats between sets with one of our new friends (68 years old and still running passes in the course) and I said "I don't really know exactly what it is that makes this so commonly addictive". He swept his arms out and said "It's all this!" Well worth getting up at 5 am.
  22. While I don't ski to the level of some on here, I will agree wholeheartedly with @skiep. I run a relatively short fin setup and can say that when I break on my offside it is 90% certain that It's due to not controlling my vision and letting my head drop.
  23. Have done the glow sticks and duct tape routine and it is a blast! For extra safety and entertainment in the boat, don't forget to attach a few to a vest and the handle.

    How did this happen?

Rope wrapped around rudder and prop?
