Not sure what problem you are trying to fix. Apparently it didn’t change any of the overall results this year. Many skiers have won national championships skiing in the 1st rotation and teams can’t see who is in the other teams rotations until running orders are posted. Seems like a crap shoot way for teams to put rotations together and hope for the best.

@ScottScott by far one of the best slalom commentators of all time. He usually does the Cali proam and I look forward to it every year. Who do you think his wife’s coach is…?

As Reflex continues to license out their release to multiple boot brands they will need to continue development to stay relevant in the boot market. Once the go to and gold standard is hard to maintain whiteout innovation. I would have preferred to see actual boot mold development with a flat bottom and flat inside. That should be the next step they skipped over.

Transfer RuleAny skier who has participated for any NCWSA school as an "A" team skier in the fall season will be allowed a one time exception to participate as an "A" team skier for another NCWSA school in that skier's first fall season at the new school. For the purposes of this rule: transfer or transient status at a school shall be considered interchangeable, ski year is as defined in 4.1.1.2 of these Rules, and the skier's first fall season is defined as the fall season during which the skier transfers or the first fall season immediately following the skier's transfer if the skier transferred during the previous ski year. Four exceptions to this rule are noted below. An exception is allowed if this same transfer skier has not participated for any NCWSA school as an "A" team skier in the fall season immediately preceding the skier's first fall season at the school to which the skier has transferred A second exception is allowed for any skier whose school has dissolved its water ski team. A letter testifying to a three ski year suspension of participation in NCWSA sanctioned tournaments must be: signed by the school's club sports sponsor (or higher ranking official); submitted on school letterhead; and accepted by the NCWSA National Board. For purposes of this rule: three ski years is defined as the ski years during which the next three fall ski seasons occur following official suspension of NCWSA participation. A third exception is allowed for any skier who is transferring to a school with no current or active NCWSA team. A fourth exception is allowed for any skier who is transferring schools to begin a graduate degree. Said skier must have graduated with an undergraduate degree in the prior year.

I think they use something similar for toe tricks for cable skiing. I have not seen it in person, but I am sure some of our European friends could comment. @slalomkenny1 Didn't you look into this a few years back? Please take video..

I work in competitive rowing on the men and woman’s side. I know the disparity of title IX. We don't want to see that in skiing. As a NCWSA National Director I can tell you we do not want NCAA to get involved with NCWSA for many reasons at this time.

Number of individuals that skied Nationals 2022 - 596 - Maize, KS - Currently Registered 2021- 694 - Wilmington, IL 2020 - 531 - Zachary, LA 2019 - 704 - West Palm Beach, FL 2018 - 729 - Maize, KS 2017 - 670 - San Marcos, TX 2016 - 550 - Boise, ID Nationals participation is a yoyo don't read too much into it. Nationals is down 100 skiers in 36 divisions. That is less than 1 skier per division per event from last year. Yesterday was the deadline for entry. There will be a few stragglers and they should beak 600. I think having MW regionals & Nationals at the same site only a week later might not help the numbers from the MW region. Some places in the region are 14+ hour drive away.
