  1. Watching the worlds, it was very apparent the amount of smear on the skis when approaching the Bouy, @ 36 MPH, not so much @ 34 MPH, so I am asking if you are skiing at 32 MPH, can you run your fin shallower, should you endeavour to achieve smear that you are comfortable with, by making boot and fin adjustments.
  2. The Best Show Ever ! Amazing quality work from TWBC, as for the competitors, I watched in Awe, the standard was beyond amazing, surely the run off,s make fabulous viewing even for Joe Public.
  3. Travers, what a Superb site, the level of skiing is out of this world, the bar is so high, Good Luck to everybody in the Finals.
  4. @dave2ball Thanks I will give that a go.
  5. I haven't come across this before so I have to ask the question, when placing a binding on a ski, as long as the Plate is not buckled, should it sit dead flat on the ski, if it doesn't and you tigthen it down and effectively the base of the binding is now a different shape, I am thinking this could change your balance and affect the way you ski on that particular ski. Am I wrong ?
  6. I suffered with really tight calf muscles, apart from stretches and a roller, I found that a vibrating sander and a lttle bit of talcum powder, help out quite a bit. caviat: use the sander with just the rubber a half size or quater size works really well, do not use with sand paper Lol ! My problem has gone away.
  7. @Horton I,ll take the Panda,s all day long, one of my dislikes is people who do not respect their equipment, at the speed and line lengths skiers are on, it is not a good idea to start throwing your ski around, same as not checking that your bindings are secure before skiing. I am surprised at your response, Hey Ho !
  8. NOT IMPRESSED ! With Charlie Ross, after missing the Exit Gates, he proceeded to hurl his ski up the bank, somebody should teach him to respect his equipment and show a little humility.
  9. The Bar is so High ! anybody's, if they fall into the Groove at the right moment, I do not think it is going to come down to ability, it's going to be Mental ! in more ways than one.
  10. When I watch the fabulous webcasts that TWBC provide, there is a group of skiers that are capable of running 39off , 41off. Whether you like Nate Smith or not, he makes those passes look smoother and easier than some of the others, That does not take anthing away from the others in that group of Pro,s they still get the job done, if Nate makes it through to a final, they all know that they have their work cut out, this must be a huge mental advantage for Nate. His consistency is second to none, he is one of the Greatest Water Skiers in our time, some may not like it but the stats tell the real story.
  11. SCARY ALERT ! Cheater/Brake/Fins not allowed in Tournaments, are you taking the Mickey, thinking this is a wind up !
  12. Tfactor gives great Lateral Support, but there is easier movement fwd and aft, the fwd movement allows easier ankle flex the aft movement helps reduce tip rise..
  13. Love the Tfactors, use them as they are, pull them tight, never failed to release when needed. Basically adjust them to what you are comfortable with. Caviat: all bindings carry a risk factor
  14. @swbca I think you will find that D3 in particular will produce skis with a fairly similar flex pattern, the like's of Freddie Winter may try a couple of skis, but, I would suspect, four sets and maybe a little adjustment, the ski would be close to what he was on, you never know it may actually be better. Question is, was the ski, gradually getting weaker to the point of failing or did it just fail at that point, I only ask because, I would of thought a Pro Skier might of noticed if the ski was going off. I do know one Ex Pro Skier who hurt himself when the ski had a sudden failure after travel on a airline, he said it was his fault because he always used to check the flex by putting the nose and then the tail on the ground , then pushing on the ski, the one time he didn't check it, it failed. He broke his ankle, so maybe something to remember if you travel with your ski.
  15. @MDB1056 if you want to highlight the issues surrounding this thread and bring awareness to this community of the need to protect the vunerable. 31.6K Views is a pretty good result. So I have to disagree, this thread, has achieved so much more, than what the originator was trying to get across.
  16. The thought of perverts among us, disturbs me, unfortunately they do not walk around with a badge declaring that they are a pervert, they are cunning and experts at disguise, they could be your best buddy, next door neighbour, the most unlikely of people, are you going to be able to spot them, the likelyhood is no. Education of youngsters and people at risk has to be the key, they have to feel that they can come forward and state their concerns. We have a designated person who fills that role and takes the responsibility, I think most of us understand whats is appropiate and what is not with or without a course or exam. The biggest enemy is when people walk on by, see things and say nothing, the nicest Man/Woman in your community, could be the biggest monster out there, do not be afraid to question other peoples actions. Do Not Walk On By.
  17. Hook the Handle, like a rock climber, there are other benefits as well typically if you hook the handle it is harder for you to pull your arms in, straight arms is like eating a Strawberry Sundae, Nice !
  18. I want to give a BIG ! shout out for Jack Travers and his team, what a fantastic site, I cannot think of a better water ski site that is more suitable than Travers, great viewing for spectators and competitors, the whole setup is made for it. Have a Fantastic Event !
  19. Anybody tried the 2022 Vapor Pro @32mph, I have been told that it shuts down quickly, is this correct, is that a good thing or a bad thing for 32mph ? Or is it the same old story @32mph keep them hands with you as long as you can.
  20. Maybe a Retailer selling last year or even the previous year ski at a discount, don.t be afraid to ask for the discount, they do not want old stock.
  21. @Dicedme do try and demo the ski before you buy one, you could even consider a used one off of "Ski It Again" Get somebody to set the ski up and then just work on the basics. Less Is More Stand With Even Pressure On Feet, More On Front Is Better, Than Pressure On The Back Flex Your Ankles Forward, To Stabilise The Ski ( ignore comments about bending knees, it will destroy your body position) Good Body Position Let The Boat Do the Work Point the Ski Across the Lake, Be Strong, But Do Not Add
  22. @Jody_Seal we wanted to change our steering cable on a Bryant 200, seemed like the impossible task, how did you get around the end fitting inpingement problem, we were worried about invalidating the warranty if we started cutting the pedestal about, also do they, still cable tie the cable down the internals of the boat ? Does Nautique now have a recognized procedure, for this task ?
  23. I have always stated the rules are the rules, but this image, does demonstrate that a rule change, might improve the viewing angle for Judges, nobody likes to be called out, everybody wants to do a good job, so it makes sense to make it easier on the decision makers and eliminate such errors.
