  1. Lol! Always Drunk ! Either that or it,s the meds that keep me from talking to the other me.
  2. @Rednucleus what is your objective here ? Most people talk to the Dealer or Manufacturer, normally there is some sort of dialog, before shouting out.
  3. @JAS wouldn't,t be buying a Cessna then would I.
  4. I have had one in the back of the head, "It Hurt" cut but no stitches. Tall Guy, lots of leverage, Clinches with Clincher Handle, known for not letting go, (either that or he can,t,) somebody else can drive him, I am no longer available. He,s travelled the world somebody else here, must of come across JC a good 6'8" maybe more.
  5. Hi Guy,s & Gals Apologise cannot find thread where this was discussed. 2021 Radar Vapor Pro 67 Skiing with Short/Deep settings tried to go 8 degrees on the wing instead of 9 The turns were not as good, so I am asking if you go less angle on the wing/foil does it ride with the tip down a bit, thinking that more wing drags the tail down and creates a higher tip attitude. School me please Any ideas, whether to move bindings or make a tip adjustment on the fin, to regain the turns.
  6. If you want to try and engage more public and it,s just a suggestion Roundhay Park,Leeds, the Council there can be more open minded than some, if it was tied in with another public event it could go well, more public more sponsors. Waterloo Lake what a name for a Battle, when water skiing was more popular, I know that there were water skiing events held therein the past.
  7. The title of the thread was about differences between 2021/2022 vapor Why do you need to tell us you have brought a D3. It had nothing to do with vapours, people looking at this thread would be interested in the differences in the vapor, not the fact that you Brough a D3???
  8. @BTheis What's that got to do with the title of this thread Doh!
  9. Top skiers onsite ready to ski, Saturday and Sunday Will Asher, Thomas Degaspri, Freddie Winter, John Travers, and many more top skiers, Ali Garcia, Allie Nicholson. Watch the live stream, @chrislandy has posted the link above.
  10. @208maverick have you tried moving your bindings around small increments at a time fwd and aft, if you are not using Connelly bindings and you have put other bindings on stock measurement, it is likely, the binding will not be in the right place. Another suggestion is look at the gap between front and back bindings, a adjustment there might make things a bit more comfortable, ie: wider stance Just thoughts that might help.
  11. @BraceMaker, I use straight back, straight arms, heels close to the butt, I tend not to push, just let the boat pull me out, I am very front foot biased due to numerous knee surgeries on my rear leg. When I have had a demo on, say the senate or a 68 Vapor instead of my normal 67, I noticed a bigger force on the deep water start, it didn't feel any easier, but drivers are used to giving me horsepower. @208maverick is a big Guy, its going to take some work to get that hip strong again, I really admire him for getting back on the water and continue to ski.
  12. Just my take, I tried wider or bigger ski, my experience was that, the wider/bigger skis actually put more pressure on my back due to bigger surface area., I am RTP two feet in. Just a suggestion, ask your driver not to be too hard on the Throttle until you are rising on top of the water. If you are trying to stand too early, it will not help. Change of technique may get you through, stay in a ball until you are gong along, then slowly stand up. Even ride two skis or drop one until you get some strength back. Some of what I have said may not help you at all, but I truly hope you can get it sorted out and enjoy your skiing again.
  13. I have a ski buddy, if you cut him in half, you would see D3 written through his middle, Thought I would give a NRG R2 a go, turned nice, but slow compared to the 2021 Radar Vapor , I am on now. Never really got on with D3 skis, but have always got on well with Radar straight out of the box , stock settings , then minor adjustments. Shows the different attributes of skis, suits different people, what is a great ski for one person, is not so good for somebody else. Like @Bdecker says there are some awesome skis out there.
  14. I was advised to go stock on the fin, move bindings around first and then fin adjustments after that, The 66 may ski differently to the 67.
  15. ???? PMSL ! Get your Driver to just gently slide the skier off the dock and then throttle up, using your mirror to gauge the power required. The, Rip Your Arms Off Method Does Not Work !
  16. @SlalomSteve I have a suggestion for you , maybe take it to somebody that can carry out a nip and tuck on the vest.
  17. Screw Driver, Knife, Scissors, Air Horn, Phone with Three Words App to give precise location to Emergency Services. You need somebody to remain calm, the injured party does not want to hear, Oh My God look at that cut, or that bone sticking out of you leg, shock and panic can Kill ! First make sure the airway is not compromised, keep them calm and breathing to a rhythm, Sit on the platform with your legs under the injured persons arms , until help comes, you could make things worse trying to get them on the boat. Call somebody closer if the Emergency Services are going to be a while. Depending on the severity of the injury and I am thinking arm through the handle, if they can get in the boat, get to the dock dump everything, put them in a car and head straight for the nearest hospital, there are some main arteries under the arm, that could spell Danger if damaged.. A good skier that has been talked about on this forum and endorsed handle guards, actually died twice on the operating table, they waited for emergency services that didn't, show up for a couple of hours, fortunately after 1 hour somebody made the decision to put him in a car and take him to the Hospital, that person saved his life.
  18. I wonder how many people buy a vest because it fits nice in the shop or because it is what they think there size is. I buy a vest that I can barely do up or even have to immerse in water to get it on , after a few sets , nice snug fit. So buy smaller or follow @Hortons advice.
  19. @Hucklefin have thought about some sort of financial arrangement to leave the course in, with a code of conduct agreement on your part, so that they do not end up, with loads of people skiing on it, perhaps their kids want to learn to ski. You could even offer to cut their grass.
  20. There used to be a lot skiers on the Wide Ride, especially the Big Dawgs, does anybody have a insight, as to why some skiers moved away from it ?
