  1. Not for me, I have just had a demo of 6 sets on the Z7, felt likesomebody had thrown a bucket out behind me, slow slow slow struggle toget down the line 28 off @ 34mph and it was not happening, friend ofmine had a go, really had to work hard for his 28 off @ 36mph normallyruns 38 off    2 passes he called it a day hisdescription of this ski was "like riding abarge"    sorry guy,s for the negative, just beinghonest. would like to know if the rcx is quicker or if anybody else hasa comparison.
  2. 7th July had two sets on S1, didn,t like it, struggled to run passes,no potential in it for me, shame thought it might be the one, I,mafraid its going back in the box and back to where it came from.

  5. So wheres it at ? with so many people happy with the RCX and and variedcomments on the Z7 , which is the way forward, , do you go with theknown or into the unknown, ski technology moves on but there is oldertechnology that got Andy Mapple to 1 @ 9.75 metres it is not all aboutthe ski ! However I will demo both and I will buy a new ski, but canany one give me some constructive advice before Demo so that i do notget carried away and make a rash decision.
  6. Ok here are the numbers that he is running on the Z7, depth =2.42  tail = 0.732   length = 6.89 still looking at skis myself very undecided, 2009 RCX or Z7 , stillthinking about the Elite but its hard to get demo over here in UKanother skier brought one blind, reckons it is like a rocketship, and breaks him in half at bouy 2, because it turns so hard, can I handle it I ask myself or am I just going to makes thingsharder for myself, perfect style and position are not my best assets, working on it and it is improving, but I am a senior Dawg that needssome Love & Care from the equipment I ride on.
  7. You are going to like this - NOT A LOT! no numbers, he says keepthe fin level with the scribe line just going out of view, LOL, he does not have vernier,I have asked him to get somebody to measure itfor the numbers , if I get them I will post as soon as possible. Iguess some people just like to mess with it, until it feels right . Iprefer to know where it,s at, it may move at some point.
  8. Hey Guy,s just got some interesting info from a good buddy of mine , hegot to demo Z7 and hated it, most peolple like to run the fin a bitdeeper to maitain angle ,but this kiddy decided to have a go with thefin qutie a bit shallower, one set and he,s on the phone quoting hiscredit card number, he says it totally transformed the ski, making itmuch more nimble & aggresive with tremendous turning ability. Heskis into 35 off @ 58KPH.
  9. Roberto just wondering if you ski at 55KPH the Z7 may have beenpreviously setup for a 58KPH skier which might make a differencebecause of the wing setting 8 degrees for 55KPH and 9 degrees for58 KPH ,not a lot but maybe enough to make the ski feel slow.Unfortunately I have a 2006 "66 sixam 2   but you canstill get "67 sixam 2 at  www.perfski.com for 499 dollarswhich is pretty good I think.
  10. Thanks , I look forward to your comments on the Z7, I was not to sureabout D3 trying to eliminate the "all at once turn" sure gets me out oftrouble when its not going too good.
  11. I,m looking to part with a big wedge of cashs but can not make my mindup, hope to demo a Z7 in the next week or so, have to say its veryquite on the Z7 front , comments that the ski is averageand no better than the RCX, is it as good as the RCX or is it justanother ski produced with all the regular marketing hype to get you topart with your cash. I currently ski on a sixam 2, Where I amhere in the UK Z7 price is £1,150 or the equivalent of 1,891 USDollars.
  12. Thanks skidawg, good advice is always appreciated, and I think you mayjust be right on this one, my cash is hard earnt, I want to buyone good ski not have shares in two halves of one.ÂÂ
  13. Would you care to Elaborate on that statement "Another Wide Ride Bit The Dust This Weekend" ?
  14. So come on guy,s you have had the Goode Wide Ride for a while now, howgood is it, the people I have talked to who have one love it, and Itruly would like to give it a go ! but I am still wrestling with thewhole goode thing, I dont want a debate on it, but whats the percentagechance of getting a goode ski that will go three years.
  15. Thanks for the reply, Just getting back into 28' @ 55 KPH 175llbs 5'6", coming back after three years with a back injury, thought it wasall over , until some faith healing lady said she could sort it, soundscrazy, she laid hands on me twice & fixed it, back tothe skiing, I was very interested in the Goode Wide Ride , I have somereservations about some aspects regarding the purchase of Goodewaterskis, I live in the UK, as great as they are , do I need theHassle, the answer is No , but I do not want to get into that debate ,or though I have been told by a respected Pro that at very shortline inrough water the Wide Ride is like riding a surfboard any comments onthat would be appreciated.
  16. Hey scotchipman can you help me out here,I am Interested in the Factthat your brother tried the Goodewide Ride and the Z7, after being onthe Sixam 2, I was on a Orange Fisher but it was to stiff for me, Justcould not get on with it or though awsome ski when you got it right(Gonna Have toSell It) ,So I went back to my Sixam 2, still looking fora replacement. Did your brother think that the Goode Wide Ride or Z7 was that much of an improvement on the Sixam 2
  17. Hi Guys & Gals With reference to the 64" wide ride ,I seesomeone posted front binding placement at 29.125, Goode state placementat 29" anybody know where most people are placing the frontbinding as I would like to get the interlock in the right place firsttime, the other question is how hard do you have to work at keepingfront pressure on the wide ride, I do get on the back of the ski nowand again, just crucifies me and yeah I know, I deserve to be crucified
