  1. Todd,  Deep in what? That just me showing bad form. Let's just stick to photos of the good looking one in the family until I'm a little more healed up. They just don't do anyone good.
  2. Let's see if I can make this workhttp://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/marcaustin11/BaileyTest.jpg. ma
  3. Shane, No wonder you called on Sunday. Wish I would have seen the call to hear this first hand. I think you may get rights to stay in the clubhouse back again after this one. Keep her around for the next hurricane. Darwin, Obviously these PFD's were built for competition and recreation. I'm fairly sure any Coast Guard Seaman would grant instant approval for either purpose. ma
  4. Never waxed a boat botton to go faster. Blue printed and sanded the bottom of 38' cigarette and got 4mph total. All the race boats get the bottom sanded on the contact area to break the suction. Seen blow boaters sand the bottom of their hobie cats too for the same reason. Never left it in the water though. Would have let the Cheaspeake mud and barnacles grow faster. ma
  5. I just go around security and ask for special assistance. Now when we travel together I can limp through carrying Jay Leach. Our boy just had that back rebuilt and is down for a while. Dawg, take care of her. You may only get two or three good wives in a lifetime if your lucky, which actually isn't bad since my dad always said you'll only get one really good bird dog in a lifetime.  We'll pray for her, but I may need to ask my brother and father the ministers to do it for me. Not sure they will take my calls up there.
  6.  Couldn't agree more on the buoys. Hate to see anyone get hurt.
  7. Milford, I saw a great photo of you at nationals and it didn't look like you had any trouble with the current buoys. Have you seen that shot? Kelvin Kelm took it I think. Not even sure how you kept skiing. Marc
  8. Did more than watch it run over the spillway. Put the Malibu in, mapped in the courses and put the boat on the new lift. Ready to go tomorrow.
  9. I'm gonna give the floating balls of fire ants a little time to go away. T$$ and I might try it out tomorrow before I head out on business for a few days. He looks downright bad ass on that new Strada. Can't wait to test a 67" when they get em done.
  10.  Somebody delete this thread because Aquaplex is full and water is running over the spillway!!! Haven't skied at my own house since last Nov. Been standing here all day watching it rain and the lake come up. Got nothing done at all. Perfect day and no more driving South to ski. Hell Yeah!! Marc
  11. Wouldn't go over 8 or 8.5 degrees. I tried 9 and it started to shutdown too early and could'nt get the width I needed. Set up several of the other locals on Elites in the last few weeks and all running 8.
  12. T-UP Been skiing the E-series for a few sets now. Had to spend some time getting the spread tight enough for me and getting adjusted to them. The first few sets I felt like I was on another planet getting myself dialed in. I have been running powershells for many years and changing boots is a big adjustment for me. Once I got them where they needed to be (I had to sand the rear boot toe down some to get to 11 7/8" of spread) they started to come around. The liners also need a few sets to settle in some I think. I ran some easy 35"s with them once they got comfortable. The most encouraging thing is I am only about 60% recovered from a severe ankle injury and they felt super supportive and safe. I even popped the tail once on a 38 trying some different fin numbers and didn't even feel it. The powershells would have lit my front ankle up for sure when that happened.  Keep you posted. I will ski them a little harder this weekend and next week. Boots are solid, well built and light. MarcÂÂ
  13. Go for it. Joe. I've done a few and would lend a hand in anyway. Marc
  14. What size do you wear and what foot forward. If you survive the weekend in Shreveport you can come over and we will bolt them on your ski. Also planning to try the new Elite's when they come out. Look pretty cool.
  15. las, I'll let you know on the E-Series after this weekend. My new pair is sitting at the house waiting for me to come home and test. Gonna mount them on the Fischer in the garage and ride. Not ready to strip the interloc off the Elite until I get them figured out. If you wanna ski Sunday afternoon to see how it goes in person let me know. maÂÂ
  16. Scoke, Can't let you bait me into that one. Can only look forward. I did get a new set of liners with some orange on the top so I can feel nostalgic. Shane, I was trying to build it up like you dumped her. Man you blew it. Amazing where this Elite reveiw thread has gone. Been productive.
  17. JD, Have fun with Shane this trip because you may not have him back. He's ok, but I withdrew all future invitations after he broke up with his hot girlfriend last year. The conversation just wasn't as stimulating anymore. Also takes him out of the topless chicken fighting tournament I hear you guys like to have.
  18. Scoke, Come on man. Talk about kickin a guy when he's down. No water, a busted up foot and now no gambling. You suck!! Your as bad as C Scott. making me buy his boat when all I got is mud. Man that guy is some salesman. Wish Darwin would have warned me about him. Marc
  19. Can I get in on this?  I'll bet on Dawg. Big boy has too much heart to be taken down like that.  I'm sure JD would tell the gang I'm good for it if I loose, but it's more probable that he will have to give you my address to send me the check. marc
  20. SJ,  Sounds like between what you and Shane are saying, Friday afternoon when I get back in the country were going to .800 with my slot calipers and give it a whirl. What the heck. My set measures dead on with Chad's when we compare. ma
  21. SJ, I didn't say I was going to run any. Just take a few modest pokes at 1 ball to see how it goes. After skiing on Goodes for 10 years I think this ski is as sensitive if not more so to fin setup. I know I'm right on the lenght and depth, but just not sure on the DFT. If I measure with my old calipers I am forward compared to the slot calipers I'm using from Dave D. The thing feels like I need to go back some, but the slot calipers are reading dead on .785. Will try to go back some this weekend and keep the other settings the same. Also may take a trip to Shreveport to just lift the Dawgs exact settings myself. Darwin assures me there is plenty of beer in that town. Got a call in to see if Baker is ready for a road trip. He's a great travel partner, but can sometimes be a little chatty. ma
  22. Dawgs numbers seems to be about the best. I tried shallow where Horton is and couldn't get any width. Chased fins settings for last three weeks and was about ready to shelve it for Fischer in the garage until I found a broken back powershell. Slapped on a Reflex boot on the rear in it's place and all went back to normal. Set it back to Dawgs settings and all was well. Tried the first 38's today since April and went most of the way down em, but just not ready to push the bionic ankle yet. Dam thing hurts! I think this ski is going to be fine when I got the guts to push a bit. Maybe try some 39 starts in a few and that will tell me if my setup will work. Only advice is don't stray off the factory numbers too much. If they aren't working something else is wrong. Haven't notice the must be calm stuff you all are talking about either. Seems to go if I'm in the right spot or not. (mostly not right now) MA
  23. Warp Fin Numbers Here are the Warp numbers I used for the stock carbon fin that comes with the ski. Lenght 6.8135 jaws 6.901 tips, 2.51, .689 dft, Back of front boot from tail 28 7/16, wing D3 size @ 7 degrees.  Boots were Goode powershells with interloc. Had to file the back edge of the fin to get it that far back in the fin box because it's so thick. Couldn't keep it the ski wet until I did that. Have fun but don't spank her with the handle! ma
  24. Horton, You got that right. We keep the curtains on the back of the house closed right now so we don't have to see it. It will rain. Thanks to Sonny & Eileen Berry for letting some of us ski there all summer. ma
