  1. MS, No rain here in Austin yet. Even our turtles are pissed off. Totally dry. Two years in a row of great BD tournaments and now were thinking about hosting a mud bog race in our pit. I just stare out into the mud and fondly recall the memory of Jones missing the gate against Dave Miller and it at least makes me laugh a little. (he doesn't think it was funny) I do have a place to ski now I can bring guest so come on down if you want a ride. Your host this weekend in Dallas doesn't talk too much so it's a good thing Darwin's coming along. ma
  2. Hey MS, I just brought home C. Scott's Malibu after being a long time Nautique owner and this is the best driving boat I have been in period. I know it's got couple specials only he get's but man it's awesome. Even the wife is right down the center. The other Nautique loyalist that drove it this weekend were shocked and maybe some converted. By the way there a bargain compared to the 200. I hear they aren't even getting up to speed in time at the short sites with the 5.7. No wonder they pulled the BDF with 6.0 boats (close to a 7K upgrade). Ask the boys this weekend in Big D about the slow ramp up. May see you this weekend.
  3. My latest theory is dating for a month is far too long. Just recently developed that one.
  4. My comment should have said a little "MORE" weight was good insurance. That's what I meant. Just build it right so it won't break and I'm cool.
  5. Agree with Jones big time on the little weight maybe being some insurance. Believe me, it's a good thing. My Elite feels great. Snuck in a 35 the other night when momma wasn't looking and was super easy. Back to 32's for now until spring. Darn!
  6. No rain here yet. If we don't get any in another 2-3 weeks (probably not going to happen) we will loose all our fish. Thankful to Sonny and Eileen Berry for giving us a place to go this year. Couldn't ask for better people. Pumped to be skiing a bit even tough I won't be pushing it until spring. Can learn a lot this fall running a few 100 32 offs I hope. Be back in black soon enough come spring time! Also pumped about this ski so far. The Warp ain't for sale yet, but it may be feeling a little insecure right now. Moved it out of the bedroom and into the garage.  Marc A.
  7. Just tried an Elite 67" yesterday. Only my 3rd set back from major ankle surgery. I am a little back and short from stock on the fin trying to make sure it doesn't get too rad on me yet since I'm not ready to shorten up. The ski ripped through 6 32 off's wide early and easy. Was really pumped that it felt like it wanted to keep moving through the back side really well. Was worried about back siding the buoy so much and hitting my front foot. Think this thing will do whatever I need once I'm strong again, which will hopefully be soon.(6-8 more weeks of heavy PT planned) Felt similiar to my Warp through the turn, but carried out to the ball better and had much less load. Marc
  8. MS That's me showing my kind and gentle side. Not sure I have brought that to Covington with me when we see each other.  Marc
  9. Dawg, this is great news. Now that I have been gently persuaded to become an alternative brands skier I'm glad to hear you got something working. I'll be getting one from Horton a soon as all my parts are functioning normally again. Until then I'll work it back into shape on the Fischer I Iifted from Darwin's shack. No concerns about a place to sleep. Every time I build a new bike momma sticks me in the garage. Had A/C in there for years. Marc A.
