  1. What the heck happened to the Quattro? I thought that was suppose to blow the Elite away by now.
  2. It may help you with the Mid to move the bindings forward. Try that and report back.
  3. I think you will find that if you are free of the boat, reaching down and then up, will help bring your hip to the inside of the turn.
  4. The key is to be FREE of the boat to accomplish this. As Nate shows, early acceleration, early edge change, great momentum off the edge change.
  5. Marcus has been using one Clincher for years.
  6. Anyone know what setting Nate runs on ZO?
  7. I start at 32 and purposely over ski it. Try to make it more like 38. 35 then feels more balanced and 38 is not such a shock.
  8. The way the techs drill the skis at Goode, is to use a drill and force the screw into the ski. No drilling a hole first.
  9. OB, Are you back on the Mid? Did you send the Nano back?
  10. I live in Orlando, and we ski all year long. Never wear a dry suit, only a long sleeve shorty. Coldest water I saw last winter was 65 degrees. Only difference in winter is we don't ski mornings. Prefer noon time. A really cold day would be with a cold front passing from the Northwest, which would bring high winds anyway. Those days you just go to the gym. We always know in advance when a cold front is coming so we plan our ski days around them. Something else to consider is Real Estate prices on a Lake in Orlando are a third of what Boca would be, maybe less than that.
  11. Can anyone compare the X-7 and the Z-7 ST ?
  12. You can do the same thing by taking the .5 M switch section rope, placing a heavy duty carabineer type hook on it, fold in half, and then put both loops on the pylon. Now just clip your rope on wherever you want.
  13. I use Schnitz, since he uses the Black good stuff, in 400 and 250.
  14. Since my tail on the Nano started skipping out, I set it up with the Sans Rival Numbers 6.750 2.50 .73. Only one set at 32 an 35, but it seemed better. Will find out tomorrow if I try a 38, where all the problems showed up. May go shorter and deeper if it does.
  15. After weeks of testing fins and ventrals, all of which I did at 32 and 35 off, I settled on three ventrals. The ski felt fantastic. The problem of catching part of the tip and blowing out the tail occurred when I went to 38, where the turn radius tightened up. The worst part was it came without warning, and I felt I was in good position. All I can do now is play with some more fin settings, plus try to get a lower center of gravity coming off the apex. Or change skis if it bites my butt again.
  16. Heard Todd Ristorcelli did well into 41. Does anyone know what ski he was on.
  17. Horton, I believe the SR-2 is the softer and is what Ty is riding. Please get one and test it, my patience is getting really thin with the Nano right now, and I would REALLY look forward to your evaluation. Thanks, ED
  18. That picture looks way to familiar. I have had three of those in the last two weeks on the Nano. At first I was attributing this to the fact I was testing 3 different fins along with three ventral combinations. It always seems to happen coming off the apex without warning. Body position feels good but may be slightly forward when it happens. Normally, on both the Wide and Mid, if I were to get way to forward and catch a tip, you would feel the whole tip load up, and you would break at the waist. What I think is happening now, due to the "twist" and different bevels, the bottom part of the tip is catching, causing the ski to pivot and spin around. I kept thinking it was the tail breaking loose but now I feel it is the lower part of the tip. That is why I never feel the whole tip load up pitching you forward. It is fast and violent, causing the ski and bindings to separate. My video looks just like the picture above, halfway through the crash. The worst part is it comes without warning, and I have never been in a bad body position when it happens. Really destroys your confidence. The only other thing I have felt, just a couple of times, is a slight skipping of the tail at the apex on my offside. Like you are hitting three tiny rollers. I was always able to keep going though. I would just like to know if anyone else is experiencing any of these characteristics with the Nano Mid. I noticed T-Gas had his skip out at 3 ball at 35 at the Masters final, when he looked like he was cruising it. He really had a surprised look on his face, just like I have had. Thanks, ED
  19. Powershell 5's. I put black electric tape over the hardware on the bottom of the plate to hold in place and keep from scratching the ski. You have to cut small pieces out of the Dual lock where the hardware is located.
  20. Same, two small and one large rear. All tips down. Had a problem with the tail of the ski skipping out at the apex, when the large rear was tips up. Would like to hear if anyone else had this problem and how they solved it. I went tips down and it was much better, plus less drag, and a faster ski.
  21. Scot, I have tried 5 strips of 250/250. The problem is it starts working itself loose after about 5 sets. Usually lifting from the front. The 400/250 has worked really well. I am 6'4" @ 220 lbs. For a lighter person 250/250 may work fine. I also always use the Black that I buy from Schnitz.
  22. Same for me. One strip each side 400 Plate and one strip each side 250 ski. Had a hell of a crash on the nano yesterday and a clean release saved my but.
  23. tsixam, A lot of skiers find when they add the front ventral, they need to move their bindings back 1/4 inch. That seems to do the trick.
  24. I've seen Bass Tounaments for over $250,000 1st Place. Just for catching a Fish !!!!
