  1. The DXii is a hull from the 90’s. You can add ZO and latest motor configurations which will improve performance but the drive ability and ski ability may not be accepted by high end tournament skiers. For the recreational skiers and beginner to intermediate slalom skiers may feel this is a very viable solution for the cost of the higher end boats.
  2. @Slalom.Steve I really don’t give a shit about S Lines at all. They are just another rope company. I really don’t care what rope or handle people use.all personal preference and It does not change my pay check one bit.
  3. @foxriverat I’m not throwing personal attacks.
  4. @foxriverat I would stop there you know nothing about me or my knowledge of ropes and handles.
  5. @Wish honestly I don’t give a shit.
  6. Then it’s a n S Line handle. Is my guess.
  7. @Dano I see your point for a bare bones boat. Unfortunately the numbers don’t support moving that direction
  8. @Dano you mentioned the Sanger as a great model example. Well that DXII really sucks to drive and skis even worse. They were tried on the west coast for a very short amount to time in tournaments and They ended up on the trailer and asked not to come back. Sanger makes a great barefoot and flat bottom/ jet boats but true comp boat they flat out sucked. There are reasons some boats are great price points. And this is one of them.
  9. @Dano and MC sells out of the pro star at 95K. Motors have increased in price oil which is the gelcoat is made from and so on. Yet the public still is buying. if you feel it is price gouging don’t buy one. There are 5 others behind you that will pay the price.
  10. @Wish that bomber is soft. It will grip but wear poorly. That blue handle is poor quality rubber compound plain and simple. If you can fix it great.
  11. @Wish cheaper does not always mean price. is that a blue bomber? Is so that handle has been trouble since day 1. I’ve seen multiple bombers have issues from quick wear such as yours to rubber coming loose from the bar.
  12. @Dano it would sell but not to the numbers that it would make it worth it for MC and nautique. The person who buys this would have a hard a bare bones boat to the general recreational skier who is out with the family all day on a public lake. If a bare bones boat was in popular demand wouldn’t they build it?
  13. There is a small minority of skiers that just want a bare bones boat. But the majority of buyers want all the bells and whistles and are willing to pay for it. And being on a promo team proved it year after year. The 200 is mentioned but the 200 is not the same boat prior to 2019. It’s heavier and only available in an OB. For the majority of lake skiers or recreational skiers that is just fine. When is the last time you saw a newer 200 in a tournament? Carbon pro was a great boat to ski behind. Driving it could be challenging if it was not set up correctly. Low cost tug. Did not get traction. why? If all the ballers here wanted a low cost tug there was your chance. Yet many bought one of the big 3. All this before nautique bought centurion.
  14. @vtmecheng your correct about the question but it boils down to a cheaper handle has softer rubber quality may not be wear and will wear quicker and therefore cost more in the long run. your post says a lot.
  15. @vtmecheng you just answered the question. S line handle 135.00. ML handle 170.00. 35 dollar difference. So in the long run which is the better deal?
  16. @Wish if you pay 100.00 for a handle and it wears out quickly and you have to buy a new one the that 100.00 handle is not much of a bargain. You get what you pay for. I am using a handle with 100 plus rides on it.
  17. @Wish if your not happy with the handle don’t purchase from that MFG.
  18. @Wish The wear depends on the type of gloves used and how soft the rubber is. The Kevlar gloves will wear a handle down quicker than Amara gloves. The soft rubber will give more thus wearing out sooner. How many sets are on that bar?
  19. @jpwhit there is no warranty for that wear.
  20. @mlange ZO will act or ski the same. The only difference is you can control the speed by .1 increments.
  21. Tournament. Practice really means nothing. When in tournaments your under pressure and perform to your best says all the sacrifices you have made in practice paid off.
  22. @Mastercrafter this may not work on a floater either. If the buoys move how would the system know how much to move? Thus causing over steer
  23. When you do 20 flips in 20 seconds you are either going to get a record or drunk dizzy. If you are really good both. Congratulations to both.
  24. @Daryn_Deanfirst of all you can’t force anyone to judge or work at a tournament But you can make it worth while for them by discounting the entry fee. Making it a policy that you must work a round to ski around.
  25. Both Malibu and MC used 6.2 motors to pull their events.
