  1. Malibu is a great boat to ski behind. It’s unfortunate they are not at more Florida tournaments.
  2. I have been told brake fluid works well at breaking down oil.
  3. @MichaelWiebe the last thing the organizers at any pro event are worried about is how much gas is used and how often they fill the boat.
  4. Malibu is the only boat that runs a 1:1 transmission. So the pull will feel different than the other 2 MFGs which have a gear reduction transmission. Malibu is also used in very few pro events, so with that being said the majority of pro athletes at the open do not get very much time behind the TXII so to change there letter and or number would make sense to get the best pull possible. I don’t think malibu is angry. They want the best performance’s possible.
  5. @BS74 my guess is with the world so close and a Nautique event next weekend many decided to skip.
  6. I would say zero. He displaced the ball and from the picture flat out ran the ball over.
  7. @kc if they can do those types of head to head in Europe that’s is great. I was referring to lakes in the USA.
  8. @BraceMaker I get what you are saying. I believe that would be a scoring nightmare to try to keep tract of.
  9. Myself and some others were talking about this issue in the officials shack during the MC pro. Not head to head but how to make the sport more appealing for slalom. One thought was you get 4 passes. That would force skiers to start shorter or opt up making the event more exciting. We all agreed in the shack that it is boring watching the top skiers run 32, 35 and even 38. And as of now with out minimum rope length starts the boat makes 6 passes. this thought should be taken into a new topic I believe if it gains traction.
  10. @ETskier that would be great but there is only one lake that I know that could handle that type of head to head. And that is the main lake in west palm.
  11. @LeonL I use that ski schedule and it works well for me. But to be fair the only reason I don’t ski every day is because I work every 3rd day.
  12. Rex mode and tournament mode are the same other than Rex mode you are able to increase speed by .1 increments.
  13. @Dano to build on what @lpskier is speaking about working on technique, gates loading the boat in the proper place ext. not just going down the line to see how many buoys you can turn
  14. @DanE when I mean slam it to the right I mean until you can’t go anymore. This may be flush or it maybe just a tick past flush.
  15. Outside of a club boat where you are forced to partner up there is no way I would go in on a boat with anyone. Too much of a hassle I thinks you are nuts.
  16. @tru-jack everyone is going to have an opinion on a TXI. the only opinion that matters is yours and your family’s. Go test drive and ski the boat. If you like it and you make a fair deal then drive off with it. It is really that simple.
  17. @jnan66 67”. Maybe a 68 depending on how soft the ski is.
  18. @PatrickStar72 no it’s not taboo to place2 different brands of binding on a ski. It’s don’t 90% of the time. The only issue would be to make sure the hole pattern match up and you measure the binding in the correct. Go to your ski’s web site for measurements. it will not hurt the ski at all to pull off the bindings. As long as you don’t strip or over tighten the screws in the inserts. When your new front boot comes in just swap the front boot out and you will be good to go.
  19. @BS74 slam it as far to the right as possible. Trust me.
  20. @BGrow76 slam the rudder tab Al the way to the right it should be flush with the right side of the rudder
  21. @Andrethis person will have a tough time selling the boat for that price. The 6.0 is now no longer available in the new nautique. The 6.2 is now standard per their web site.
  22. Go with an 8 ball course. 1771 feet is a bit short for a true 6 ball course unless you can drop and go into the cove near the bridge in the picture provided and line up at set speed. The 5 ball you refer to is also known as the zero ball. As the rope gets shorter the ball will not come into play. Most people just go around it or turn just inside the ball. Once skiing with is you won’t really notice it after some sets. A
  23. @aupatking Rini is an A2 guy. Try there first. He switched me also. Have not looked back since
