  1. @BraceMaker Nautique does own the masters. How it is tied to the IWFF I really don’t know. Masters are not part of the tour points. other then Jim Michaels who was not only disqualified but banned from the sport for cheating this Freddie issue is the first I can remember. The details of the Michaels incident was released. Why no statement from Nautique I have no clue other then they feel it’s nobody’s business other then the party’s involved including the judges. this whole thread is all speculation of what happened. Other then Freddie’s comments that were posted which really said nothing other then his disappointment of not being included this year there is nothing out there for reliable information. was this a Nautique only decision? It was it the judges? Hard to say. Freddie was able to ski Moomba which was a Nautique event. I do believe if any Nautique team skier was in the same circumstances the same result would occur and even further action taken.
  2. @BraceMaker that does not mean Nautique would not ban Nate if he was in Freddie shoes. I fully realize that Nate is not sponsored by the factory. And that a dealer could give him a boat. But that does not mean The masters /Nautique would not ban him under the same circumstances. Not quite sure what you are getting at
  3. @RAWSki Charlie is in JR masters though.
  4. @JohnN Jodi is absolutely correct. Your gates and pullout set up what happens in the course. It controls your flow with the boat. Do it right and you will be on a great line. Do it wrong and you just chase the boat through the course never feeling free in the turn.
  5. @BrennanKMN you are correct. But I’m this case there are 5 tournament lakes with in 30 min drive or so. this is just pure greed.
  6. Ok 90.00 per set. With no instructions. Driver on site? Is he capable of pulling 38 or shorter competently? I would like some that crack they are smoking
  7. @aupatking good point. Just wondering as mentioned in an earlier post if it was just Nautique doing the ban, why was Freddie allowed to ski Moomba? That too is a Nautique correct craft event also with iwff involvement. There is so much information that we the skiers don’t know and most likely will never be know. This whole thread is all speculation of what happened.
  8. That seem too much considering where they are. There are about 4 other lakes within 30 min roughly drive. The average ski school is 75 a set with instruction so 90 is stupid money for one set.
  9. @6balls 06 didn’t have ZO. there were some late 07 that were able to change over to ZO.
  10. @skialex I’m just defending my opinion. Nobody on this site has any hard facts. But they are sure quick to throw boat companies under the bus making serious accusations about Nautique and yet demanding g an explanation of their actions. the people on this site can bitch and complain about the situation all they want. but it will not change their actions.
  11. @wish this issue is between Freddie and Nautique. Nobody else. Freddie and Nautique don’t own the public the public any explanation. Truthfully this situation is non of our business and the thread should be closed. People are making assumptions and throwing out there .02 and they do not know any facts of what occurred.
  12. @bananaron if you want a 200 better grab this quick. https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=66773 6L are VERY HARD TO COME BY. you may of just found a unicorn.
  13. @wish inmates are the skiers who ski the masters Not the general public.
  14. @Wish so what you are saying is let the inmates run the asylum. Freddie did something very wrong that may of violated an agreement. If Nautique let him ski where does Nautique then draw the line? Being a publicity traded company means nothing. I’m not defending the company what so ever. I’m just looking at what fact are before us which are not too many.
  15. @Horton I have no idea. But with the events off the water that may of or may not of occurred did Freddie interfere? I have no idea.
  16. @SlalomSteve I recently flew delta and united air. I was charged 30.00 for one bag which was my ski and did not have an issue.
  17. @rico sorry but Nautique does not owe the public or anybody else other then Freddie an explanation to why they took the actions they did.
  18. You guys are beating a dead horse. Because of the actions that occurred during last years Masters Nautique made the decision to ban Freddie this year. No pole is going to change the out come. Watch or don’t watch the masters. It’s your choice. only a select few know what occurred regarding the protest and video reviews. To throw out that Nautique is basis against non Nautique skiers if extremely foolish. Nautique wants the best skiers to attend. Freddie is a professional. With that he is held to higher standards. You can still be passionate but respectful.
  19. @BraceMaker yes he can be so wrong. He lives in the Carolina’s VA area. He cannot expect the sponsors to reach that far out of their targeted area. It was put on this website. He really has no bitch about how this was marketed. The web cast was an added bonus for everyone. so what is next is he going to complain about the LA Jam night jump because there are no promotions in his area? Let’s just to agree to disagree on the topic of marketing when it comes to KOD.
  20. @BraceMaker I have no idea how far out the marketing went. Ithe marketing was way above my pay grade. People do subscribe to the web cast so they will get notifications. You cannot target the whole nation for one event marketing wise other then what was done with FB instagram so forth. If 7k viewers were watching the word or marketing got out some how. You can’t please everyone. If this event was in this persons area and he did not hear about it then yes shame on the event organizers. If a person was somewhere other then Florida he really has no reason to throw negativity towards an event targeted for central Florida.
  21. @BraceMaker I gave up 3 days to be there as an official. I saw first hand all the hard work that went into this event. What I don’t like are people on this site throwing out negative opinions when they don’t know the facts or the intent of the event. If the sponsors were unhappy why have they been throwing money into the event when it occurs. If 7k people viewed the event that’s great. I know the shores were packed.
  22. @BraceMaker where does @SkiRVA live? If he is not a local he may not see the marketing for this event. Does he have FB, instagram? If he does the hopefully he saw the event posted. The web cast was an added bonus for everyone. It’s pretty poor for someone to criticize a group that promotes a sport and tries to bring in new blood from the area. If he he feels the marketing was not up to his satisfaction then I maybe @SkiRVA should put up some money put on an event and he can market the event his way if he feel it was poorly done.
  23. @SkiRVA you are SO WRONG about the lack of promotion of KOD. this tournament was designed for the locals to watch professional skiing and grand night jump tournament. There was local TV interviews with Taylor Garcia and signs thought out all the subdivisions. They had posts on facebook and instagram from the day the event was released. Not sure what you are looking for but they promoted the piss out of this. I don’t see anyone or dealership doing anything like this.
  24. @jcamp I’m not amazed at all. Many readers/posters want to chastise Nautique without knowing all facts and basing their opinion on what they saw on video close to a year ago. Did Freddie sign a code of conduct release? I personally have no idea nor do I know if it was justified to not let him ski. . What I can say about the situation is that it’s a shame Freddie won’t be apart of this years Masters. There are issues that occurred behind the scenes that maybe .5% people know about and have stayed silent because they are smarter than the average bear.
