  1. @rico give Masterline a call. Talk with Randy or Russell or Bob.
  2. The only place that I know of is what was McCormicks. They were sold and I have no idea what the new owners are doing. Ski paradise was sold as well. Same thing also. No idea what the new owner is going to do.
  3. @Horton your first mistake was giving Mateo Vargas a brand new ski to be the first to try. 2nd mistake was allowing him to adjust a perfectly good factory set up ski.
  4. @LeonL not sure about Ruth’s house but Stan and Donna’s house was not included in the sale. They will have usage of the lake. As for the rest of the members on quite sure.
  5. @jcamp @MichaelWiebe ski paradise has been sold. Not sure what the new owner is going to do.
  6. @Kevin364 you just opened up the door to soooo many opinions and recommendations you will be even more confused. Gloves are personal on how you want them to fit and grip. My hand is not the same as your or any others. A MED will not fit the same on two people. If you have the opportunity to try some on I would do that. Or roll the dice and order what you think will work the best to you. Not being sarcastic but good luck.
  7. I have to agree with B Butterfield. I skied Thursday around 9AM there was a small head/tail wind but that caused a very challenging glare going back towards the starting dock. So much that I could not really see the 55’s or entrance gates. They were a black blurb. That was huge for your 4th pass generally the money pass needed to challenge for the lead. Others then glare the lake skied great. No surprises.
  8. The permit process can be very challenging. You have to be very accurate with water depth, 300 feet from shore every home owner has to agree. Your lot must go into the water which gives you riparian rights as skierjp mentioned. You and google earth will be good friends.
  9. @Mastercrafter majority of ski school boats are on a lift after the day is over. Putting 2 layers of carpet on trailer bunks just holds water in the carpet and it rarely dries out also may cause the trailer to rust faster.
  10. @Wayne double carpeting the bunks is not really a good idea. The carpet holds more water and in time will cause blisters on the gel coat.
  11. You will actually need 2 permits. First a state permit and the a county permit. First go to the state EPD and download the application. The process sucks.
  12. @FSSPCat try boatcarpet.com. Not a good idea to use indoor outdoor carpet. It is very abrasive on the hull. And the answer to your second question is smoking after marinated in a soy ginger works great. Just look out for the bebe from the .22. I, sure you know it will crack a tooth. That’s the way we do it here in the south. .
  13. @Hippylows get a ski that a good deal and you can grow into performance wise. Yes you are still growing so the only down fall is you will out grow the ski size wise but not ability wise. Big difference.
  14. On photo was the 77 nationals. Lot of history.
  15. Those safety stickers are there because somebody did something real stupid and MC had to cover themselves liability wise.
  16. @Buxrus the cheese thing is humor. Everything that is being said was covered in the thread that was 59 pages. It’s beating a dead horse. If your question was not answered it most likely was covered some where in the prior thread.
  17. @lpskier I did not know that good info. That also falls back on playing by there rules. Basically it boils down to take the SS class and ski tournaments or don’t. It’s a personal choice. Certain things are out of the membership control. There still is soooo much whining about SS still I wish I could open up a cheese shop.
  18. @JackQ weather or not you believe it’s a gross overstatement or not as long as we are tied with the USOC and they give us money we have to play by there rules. And the actions congress passed. I do agree that being tied to the USOC really does not do us any good. We are not going to see skiing as an Olympic event. And if we were on our own we may have to take a SS type class no disagreement there. Just follow the money as it was laid out in in the thread prior a couple of months age. Apparently the USOC gives us a large amount.
  19. As long as we are affiliated with the USOC and take money from the feds we have to play by there rules. Once again people are beating a dead horse. Either take the course and ski tournaments or don’t. The skiers choice.
  20. 3 event skiing has been made very difficult by state and county regulations. It is very difficult to get a slalom course permit even for a weekend in some areas. 3event skiing takes a lot of time and minimal people in the boat and takes a lot to time months years to progress in the tournament setting IE practice. Sales drop. The MFG no have found a new audience. The profit is 3 to 1 ratio. You can throw 12 friends into a boat no course necessary, conditions don’t matter and you look like a rock star in a couple of sets. When dealers order they have slots. If the majority of orders are wake/surf boat that sell for 300K that is where the marketing dollars are spent. With the interest rates going up along with gas prices you just may see a turn and the 3 event boat may make a huge come back.
  21. @TEL i have heard of a CB TXI but have not actually seen one. Good luck tracking one down.
  22. @TEL if you are looking for something a new boat you maybe disappointed with a TXI compared to a 196 or 200. I would test drive and ski and before.
  23. The TXI skis great. If looking to buy I would be more worries how it tracks and drives.
