  7. wife got a new ski. any one with binding location and fin # to start with. thx Deano
  8. Lk steven has a sinker coarse that uses a winch that floats on a sub buoy that when unwinded the coarse pops up. I would love to see the diagram of that setup. we have to pull up our coarse from the bottom after we sink it. 15 min up -10 mins take down. still better than not being able the ski the coarse there. seams like they are out to get us!!! ( F @ G that is) Deano
  9. when ever you are ready! my partner says row the boat!!
  10. Boody, let use know how it feels at 8 degrees. I ordered mine today
  11. ARC water ski boot!! first releasable hard shell. 1986-1993 for salom and JUMP.
  12. the 404 silverato heel is as old as me, a proven at snow ski binding the swiss designed and used in ww2 that set the standard back ??? the 505 is the new version. I used them 26 yrs ago AT skiing Back country in the nw. if you set the system up correctly, it works great. I have never had a prerelease, and the 4 skiers I know have never had a prerelease either. and we have all crashed and released when needed I have the skier put the boot on click into the binding with the fin hanging off the dock (set on 4 to start with for a skier 140lbs or more, )then I have them pull up on the heel like they were doing a OTF, was the release to easy? to hard? then adjust up or down until you get the relaesae were you want it. also make sure when the boot is clicked in the system you can not pull the heel level off the back block, the boot should be hard to click into the system. I have seen many system ordered with boots that were to lose, ( you could pull the heel level back off the block ) simple fix just move the heel one hole forward. there should be resistance when pulling up the level the click in the boot. Being a snow skier this binding makes the most sence. Deano
  13. Here are a few pics of the liner with the tongue sewn in place. its attached in 4 spots top bottom and sides It adds some forward support. Deano
  14. I leave mine out of the system when not in use. Deano
  15. I know 3 skiers that use them it makes the boot a liitle stiff forward but does not make it stiffer backwards. try it you may like it. I love the feel, being a snowskier I like a little resistance forward. I had mine stiched on the linner so it will not move around during a set. double back tape will hold it place for trial run. Deano
  16. Chef, I bought a new shell for my wife, took the heel block off turned it over and t-nuted it back on. now the block is the height foor the 404 heel. very simple to do. Remi told me this before he left reflex. Deano
  17. Stone, I have been using a reflex boot with a animal rear for 3 years. It works very well. Bennetts has complete reflex set ups with the old 404 heel ( thats the heel I use) for 399.00 with ali plate no need for the carbon plate IMO. Deano
  18. more skiers and pros use the reflex system with a rtp or rubber back boot. when set up properly the work great. Deano
  19. with out my teeter ez up boots my back would be a mess pian free for yrs thanks to my ez ups!

  22. 46 going on and on like the energizer bunny I remember my dad and friends making thier own skis in the garage at the lake sammish cabin, they would break one a week, some times more.
  23. the reseason is the calipers sit on a different part of the ski when the tip is to the left the flate end points twards the tip,  when the ski tip to the right the flat end of the caliper has more surface twards the tail. skis are thinner twards the tail thats why we all should measure with the tip to the left. it water skiing not rocket science. Deano
  24. the strada is a very good ski easy to ski on I have run more -35 at 34mph on this ski than any other I have been on. And I'm in Ak working every summer for 6-8 weeks, so I miss most of the summer. but the ski is amazing!! I come home and get right into short line I went for average of 4@-35 to 4@ -38 you made a great choice you will be shorting the rope one more loop this yr.  thinkshort DeanoÂ
