  1. from bellingham to bouderline is 1/2 hr drive. the pond is 5 mins off I-5, very easy to find. plus there is lots of room for camping if desired. the pond has great wind protection. It is one of my favorite ski lakes. lots of setup time and a great jump venue. I drive there 3-4 times a year from wenatchee the center of the state it only takes me 3/12 hrs. when I lived in the seattle area I would be there 2-3 times a week only 2 hr drive. PS I drive a litte faster then most people heavy right foot. The Goodman's are great people and Terry is a great coach. the night jump is very cool. I'm going try to make it up for the night jump. Deano

  7. Radar has got to be one of the best lake ever! clear water great wind protection. the water is fast and the ski sits deep in the turns. I always ski great there! Deano
  8. Chef 23,if you buy a new boot and flip the back cleat over it will fit the 404 release. I just did this to the new white slalom boot I bought. Deano
  9. Jody, first mount the plate to the ski, make sure the heel level has some resistance when pulling the heel lever up onto the block, when the boot is in the system the heel lever should not be able to be pulled the boot heel block.( if it does move the heel 1 whole forward and test agian. Then test the release like brent desribed. puting the boot on have the ski on a padded surface with fin off the ground, the moving forward OTF and adjust the release where you want it. Im 185 b-190 lbs i ski at 6 My freinds all ski at different # ranging from 4-6 The top of the boot might need to be cut off i know lots of skier cut the upper cuff down for move ankle movement. I think it skis better lower. Deano
  10. I'm with Eric on this one I have a few freinds that use high end skis with reflex and rtp and they are -15 skiers at 32 mph . the hard shell helps protect the ankle, because they fall alot in their learning process. I have put them on mid priced skis and they ski worse. a lot of the new skis are great at 30-34 mph -15. I can think of 4-5 freinds that are in this group. I believe reflex with a rtp is the safest setup. but thats opinion being a snow skier I like the mechanical release. when the snow melts ski it agian! have fun think short Deano
  11. I'm 185-190 lbs 6'1 and ski a 66 starda had a original 67 starda loved it pb on it 3-38 34mph, but the 66 turns better both sides for me. try a 66 I ski cold water 75-80 max water temps in the summer here in the NW Deano

  14. started in willy's went to Ho anaimals, tried rs-1 could not ski in two hard shells I like a real lose back foot, went to reflex front Ho back 4 yrs ago had to cut the upper cuff down and make a few other boot mods like cp, willy and maple do. Remi help me with this over the phone, I work for head wintersport and do lots of Alpine boot mods for atheletes ramp angle canting lowering cuff ect. I not afriad to cut some plastic plus I have all the tools, out of the box they are unskiable for me once modified they are the bomb get the boots tight same every time, set the release where you want. more pros use Reflex then any other boot system just to name a few Jody F, marcus B, will A,Chris P,Seth S,Andy M, wilson Bros and most of the HO team and the designers. off to the slopes ski ya later Deano
  15. Whats holding me back is. DFW took out our coarse at crescent Bar after it had been there for 35 yrs!! Now I have to drive 2hrs each way to get go water. now we are looking for s new spot, closer to home. Deano
  16. I work them snow ski racers with head products we cut the front and the side of the snow ski boot upper plactic down and leave the back tall this is to allow for more ankle movement so the skier can create bigger angles, a tall boots reduces the amount of angle the skier can get, look at will's reflex and andy maples reflex they cut the Uppper cuff down to allow more ankle movement. the stealth is tall but its not plactic. Deano head wintersport
  17. I think if you want to ski 35 you should just step it up and ski at 36!! at 47 I dont want to ski at 35 34 is fine with me my 2 cents Deano
  18. thats because FL is warm water!!! I;m in the nw warm water is 80 most of my skiing is in 68-70 degrees we start the season in april with 50 ish temps. Deano
