  1. Local dealers run the spectrum.....great,good,bad, and clueless. I'm sure the factory will help, or move on to the next dealer down the road?
  2. 50 hours makes me feel good, but it is challenge on the North Coast!

    2016 Engines

Ford or Chrysler doesn't have an interest in the marine market? Any reason why?
  4. Both Griggs and O Shanausey have courses. Griggs can get pretty busy. Quite a few clubs on USA waterski website and ski it again. Lots of skiers in C Bus OSU team is active too. What lake in MI??
  5. OH, MI, IN, IL, KY, TN, SC I should get out more.
  6. 34 is a big improvement, especially at 22 off.
  7. I had an 89 skier for years. I don't recall 15 off being too bad, but 22 had a bump. Like most boats that age. 32+ mph and it gets better. What speed are you skiing at? I also made sure the boat was balanced. I had a 50 lb lead block if we only had one in the boat driving.
  8. Pay attention to your palms and grip on your pull up, change it ever so slightly each up. My hands take more abuse from getting up, than the skiing.
  9. I've been there, inside storage is much nicer. All my stuff was there. Back up camera helps too. I filled up enough to get 3 trips.
  10. @ MISkier, do you have a link for a MI permit? Someone on my parents lake used to have one? I have a another place to ski and won't need it hopefully? Thanks
  11. About $750.00 or so to cover insurance and weeds. BYOBoat. 10 members or so.
  12. Van Wert is a pretty good site and not a big lake. You might get a little chop,or some whitecaps if it is really blowing straight down the lake, coss wind should not bother things too much.
  13. October will be sunny and 75 on the North Coast!!
  14. I've heard d3 bindings moved back a touch from stock settings also help. Easy thing to try.

    PP upgrade?

@‌Bdecker I use PP, no magnet system. 99 Response LX EFI. I have not done the Zbox. The Classic Mode is much more consistent pull. I only adjust for crew weight, and it works pretty good. Wind does have some affect and will get you a slow or fast time once in a while. I am not the type to calibrate and dial in each segment in GPS mode. If sometimes +or - .01-.05 bothers you and you always want to tweak, you won't like it. This is WAY down the list on why I ski crummy sometimes. If you can set it and forget it, its fine and was used for years. It is not ZO. My 2 cents.
  16. Radar Lake too, never been to the NW. Gordon Rathburns too.
  17. I moved back a touch, at 29 5/8, made a nice difference. It was a little windy today. Hopefully this helps.
  18. What does moving bindings foward or back accomplish, generally? Looking for some 2-4 help, which is my offside. Typically this has not been a trouble spot for me. Breaking foward at the waist, and/or little angle out of the turn. I usually get in trouble at 1-3-5, straighten legs, crank turns, get impatient. D3 x7 stock settings with Radar Strada boots. Do have fin at 6.925 vs a 6.940, which is listed on d3 website. Not sure that is enough to be an issue. Rode an x5 for a few years, thought this would be an easy transition? Thanks all.
  19. Ballers, It never really warmed up here on the North Coast this summer. I didn't really want to drop 4 bills or so on a shower or heater. I stumbled across this. Bigkahunashowers.com Basically 4 gallon 12 volt shower bucket. So far so good for $130.00 12 volt cord reaches from outlet by my steering wheel to back of boat. I filled up with hot tap water at home and 2-3 hours after skiing, it was still warm. Though I'd pass it along, hopefully I won't need it until October!!
  20. I'll drink half once in a while. Good pick me up. Caffeine based sodas or energy drinks ( mt dew , coke, red bull etc) just equals jitters. Some of the other energy drinks taste awful.
  21. Thanks, hopefully some more will pop up. Seems kinda light this year for clinics?
  22. Ballers, Any upcoming slalom clinics? Would prefer Ohio or Michigan. Thanks!
