  1. Panda? I have been saying for years we are lucky to have three boats to choose from and that the stripped down ski boat fantasy was a pipe dream given the economic realities of the industry. And now we might be down to two.
  2. Anyone here still holding out hope for an inexpensive, stripped down ski tug? If you want a ski boat get 'em while you can.
  3. ART/professional deep tissue massage on forearms, triceps, and shoulders coupled with rest/recovery is about the only thing that works for me.
  4. If you are carrying extra weight, get lighter. For me deadlift, stiff leg deadlift, good mornings, hip thrusters, exercises on the Donkey (glute-ham, reverse sit ups, etc.) and bandwork seem to help with the back. I also need to get back in for ART/deep tissue massage to deal with elbow pain (golf and tennis elbow). That's about the only thing that helps my elbows. But, ya, get lighter.
  5. He was my favorite skier. Now I just hate him for crushing all my excuses.
  6. Every morning when I wake up the first thing I check is exactly how much more daylight we will have tomorrow. Even though I pretty much already know, down to the second, because of how often I look at the runrise/sunset chart. (The day will be 1 min. 21 seconds longer tomorrow where I live). I also check how many days until March 10, the day I can ski after work without leaving work early. (Only 64 more days!). God damnit I hate winter.
  7. Senates come in 67 and 69. If they had a 68 I'd probably be on one.
  8. There is also a 69.5 Vapor option. Buy Ya, Senate Pro. Vapor 69.5" 393.33 SQ” 7.217” 32-36 MPH / 52-58 KPH COURSE 200+ lbs / 90+ kg Senate Pro 69" 402.41 SQ" 7.37" 34 MPH COURSE 180 – 220 lbs / 82 – 100 kg
  9. This last season my boy was running run into 36 mph; it took him 5 passes to get there (all @28 off). There's nothing wrong with running passes and nothing worse than a MOP.
  10. I don't think you are ever going to get 50% of the value of "extras" tacked onto a 25 year old boat. That's just not how used boats generally get valued. But it doesn't matter what you or I independently think. The only thing that matters is what a willing buyer and willing seller agree on as far as price. So no harm in listing for what you think it's worth.
  11. "Extras" on a 25-year old boat will help sell it compared to comparably priced boats of the same age but don't tend to add a lot of $ value over book.
  12. I run the carbon sequence plate and it is attached at just the front, back and the middle and floats a bit on a thin rubber pad and it definitely allows for flex. The plate itself is light and not nearly as stiff as the ski. I would be hard pressed to believe it materially impacts the flex of the ski on the water. Once set to stock it is very easy to adjust the bindings front and back and not worry about front/rear spacing, whether double boots or RTP.
  13. "D1 and D2" are after my time but I think that designation is only relevant to nationals and based on regional performance that year. From the NCWSA webstite: Split of Division 1 & Division 2 The first place team from each Regional's will compete for the National Championship in Division 1. The second through fifth place team from each Regional Championship, the 6th placed Membership team, plus the three wildcard teams, shall be placed into a simulated tournament based on A-Team fall season rankings to determine the split of the Division I and Division II fields. The top eight teams from this simulated tournament will join the four Regional Champions in Division I. The bottom twelve teams from this tournament will compete in Division II.
  14. I have to double down on Horton's post and Surepath. When we first got Surepath my then 13 year old went from an all-over-the-place-I-dread-each-pass skill set to driving pretty much down the pipe in a week or two. He occasionally still likes to slide in a bit before the 55s but at least now I have evidence when he does. The downside is when I gripe about his driving after a crappy pass he just stares at me and says "single digits [insert street slang/term of endearment here]." (Nautique tracking also helps but that's a can of worms I'll only partially open).
  15. Two sets Sunday morning during rain breaks.
  16. Seems like a good negotiating point. Are you making an offer?
  17. I don't see how some healthy skepticism about blaming alleged unmeasurable material changes for poor performance is triple panda worthy when the impact of bias on perception is a known scientific fact. That seems to devalue the triple panda award.
  18. Thanks. The size calc told me S but I am about your size and was suspicious.
  19. @Horton, what size is the one you pulled out of the box?
  20. I hate selling skis but I am running out of room and now have extra slalom skis of every size for guests. I have two 68" Connelly DV8s lightly used for less than a season in great shape. I bought these around the time they came out but they sat out last season. I have a white 68" inch Radar Vapor Pro Build last gen model used for less than one season (this season) in great shape. I was with back surgery most of this year so slightly used. I have last gen Black 66" Radar Vapor Pro Build, great shape. Used for a few months before the '24s came out. Asking $1000 each but willing to entertain reasonable offers and will accept best reasonable offer. Not on ski it again yet. I can send pics to serious buyers.
  21. It seems like the GM Gas 6.6 used in the HD trucks would be another viable option. It looks like a workhorse that runs on 87. https://poweredsolutions.gm.com/products/l8t-engine/
