  1. A dual-rockered, dual-locked, resin transfer molded, hollow cored, autoclave cured, asymmetric mid ride made with nano carbon technology.
  2. @patmaster. I considered using Dual Lock to attach the adapter plate to the ski but was concerned about a possible double release where the adapter plate and release units end up at the bottom of the lake.
  3. I used the Fogman releases for years. I am now mounting my Fogman hardshell boots to a G-10 plate and mounting to the ski with 3M Dual Lock. I don't have a problem with the releases, just tired of drilling 8 extra holes in the ski, voiding the warranty, and decreasing the resale value. I'm not a big fan of the one piece screwless adapter plate. I ruined the top of one of my skis trying to remove the plate from the ski.
  4. Maybe I should try 29" instead of 29.25" on my 65" Nano. What is everyone using on the 65"?
  5. By my calculations, a 0.400" spacer would be perfect for the front ventral wing.
  6. When I got my Goode Nano Twist Mid 65" 188 AMP I called Goode for the fin numbers since they were not listed on the web site. Slot caliper numbers are 6.820 2.445 0.725 Wing at 8*. Mine came from the factory perfect except DFT was too far forward. Chad runs similar numbers except likes his depth at 2.497. Boot numbers are the same as the 9900 Mid.
  7. It would be nice to have a table for all the ski manufacturers DFT using the EZFT.
  8. I see most "Mid Ride" skiers are going 34 mph.
  9. The Razor appears to be a close replica to the Goode Traditional shape. The Reflex Hybrid appears to be a close replica to the Goode Mid Ride shape. I have not skied either ski. Just my observations from looking at them at the tent at Nationals in August. Not sure if the Reflex is RTM but appears to have a superior fit and finish and comes with inserts. There are quite a number of variables besides shape to a ski design such as flex, rocker, and bevels.
  10. It can ski like crap as long as it has cool graphics.
  11. 65" 188 AMP Nano Twist Mid.
  12. My current average tournament score on my Goode Nano Twist Mid is up 3 buoys compared with my 2010 tournament average. I do know what my settings are. 6.817, 2.444, 0.722. 8 degrees. No ventral wing. I have heard a lot of hype about the "untwisted" version of the Nano on this forum. However, I am planning to stay on my "twisted" version. Maybe experiment a little with the mini ventral in the forward position in the spring.
  13. @Marco. Telluride! Love that mountain. Kant-Make-M. Plunge. Spiral Stairs. Mammoth. Haven't skied Telluride in years. Ski at Mary Jane mostly now.
  14. My water ski off season is from October 1 through April 1. My water ski off season is not really an "off" season. When I am not water skiing, I am cycling until snow skiing season starts. Once snow skiing is over, I am back to cycling and/or water skiing in which the seasons overlap.
  15. I know of several skiers that use Powershells on non-Goode skis.
  16. I don't see the "untwisted" version of the Nano on the Goode web site yet. Is this a custom order that you must request? A friend of mine has a Nano without the twist, but his still says "twist" and "Dual Rocker Technology" on the rear of the ski. I ride the twisted version. Best ski I have ever owned. More consistant and my tournament buoy count has increased.
  17. @scoke. I have not heard any chatter about a new "Vogue" ski. Maybe I need to get my head out of the sand.
  18. Scot, What is a "thin 10" plate? Is the G-10 plate 0.10" thick instead of 0.125" thick?
  19. Not a lot of information on sizing on the SansRival web site. Is this ski a little wider than a traditional ski like say a Goode Mid Ride? At 180 lbs. and 34 mph would I be on the 66.5" or 68" model? To me 68" seems a little large and 66.5" seems a little small.
  20. My 65" 188 AMP Nano Mid twist RFF specs: Front boot = 29.25" (rotated 3/16" clockwise) Rear boot = 17.56" (rotated 9/16" counter-clockwise) DFT = 0.725 (Slot Caliper) Depth = 2.445 Length = 6.819 Wing = 8 degrees No Raley Ventral My 2011 average score went up by 2 buoys on the Nano compared to 2010.
  21. Had a small ding on the bottom of my Nano towards the tip. More cosmetic than structural. Filled it with JB Weld Marine and sanded. I would like to know how you could possibly match the paint on that one. The Nano has a very complex graphic of black/grey/white smoke and fake carbon fiber running through it. I may just paint it black like the side walls.
  22. Ed, By, "faster thin fin", do you mean the blue Goode fin that was on the 9800SL a few years ago?
  23. I did not see Connelly at Nationals. Must have set up their booth after I left (I skied Men 4 on the first day). Bindings look like Fogman setup with new/different hardshell boots.
  24. I just got home from Nationals. Saw a really interesting ski from Reflex called the Hybrid. Looks like a cross between a Goode Mid Ride with inserts and the fit, finish, and workmanship of a Warp. Anyone know anything about this ski? Sizing, flex etc.? I was told by the dealer that it comes in a 65" and 67" and runs about $1400.00.
