  1. Does the rear R-Series boot pivot as well? Coming off Fogman shells, I am not sure I will like no cuff on the rear boot. I like the idea of a Reflex front and a FM E-Series rear if the Reflex rear can be retrofitted somehow.
  2. I am on Fogman shells mounted to a G-10 plate and fixed to the ski with 400/250 Dual Lock. Thinking about trying Reflex. I pivot my Fogman shells. Can the Reflex be pivoted? Anyone know if Reflex or Fogman shells can be retrofitted to a Fluid Motion E-Series? Thinking if a hybrid Reflex front and E-Series rear might be possible.
  3. This is direct from the Goode web site: Recommended ski selection guide for the NANO ONE 65.25″ – up to 195 pounds 66″ – 165 to 220 pounds 66.75″ – 195 pounds and up Looks like you are on the high end for the 65.25" and right in the middle for the 66". I am 5'9" 179# and have a 65.25" which I haven't tried yet to evaluate. Looks like there is a wide overlap in sizing on the Nano One.
  4. Never had an insert pull out. But then again, I don't use inserts. I use the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing product.
  5. I like the raw carbon weave of the Sans Rival, Razor, and Warp. They do not have the creases and crinkles at the edges of the ski. But I kind of like the crinkles in my Nano One. Gives the ski a unique look.
  6. I would like to see if the statistics of foot forward have anything to do with dominant hand. I am left handed and am RFF.
  7. @rfa. You stated: "In my own case as I have mentioned previously, great record...two pre-releases (one due to releases moving on adapter plate - my bad,- and one unexplained)." Did you have the adapter plates screwed into the factory inserts or were they just 3M taped to the ski? Was it a single plate or 3 separate plates? Were the plates aluminum or G-10?
  8. @Scot. Did you get the surface area of the newer 66" Nano One from Mr. Goode to add to your database?
  9. Does Reflex still make the symmetrical Hybrid?
  10. Can't they just rocker the bottom of the ski and keep the top of the ski where the fin clamps on flat?
  11. @lpskier Curious to know what your adapter plate(s) looks like. I am thinking of making thin 0.093" G-10 Fogman adapter plates now that the Nano One has factory inserts. I used 3M Dual-Lock previously to attach my Fogman boots to my Goode.
  12. I ordered the 65.25" at Nationals. By the time it arrived my water ski season was over. I will be trying it this spring. Seems there is a large amount of overlap between sizes: 65.25" - up to 195 pounds 66" - 165 to 220 pounds 66.75" - 195 pounds and up At 183 pounds, I am right in the middle of the 66" size and towards the high end of the 65.25" size. So I called Goode to see if I should exchange the 65.25" for a 66" to demo first. Dave recommended to stay with the 65.25" as this size is working well for lighter and heavier skiers alike. My current ski is a 65" 188 AMP Nano Twist Mid.
  13. Based on the numbers above, the 66" should probably come in at around 360 sq. inches of surface area.
  14. @Scot Chipman. Can you find out the surface area of the 66" Nano One?
  15. Let's play 20 questions. Is is made from Carbon Fiber?

I would give Niklas Backstrom a call. I hear he is looking for a job until the lockout ends. Unless he moved to Helsinki, Finland.
  17. Scot. Where did you find those surface area numbers for the 65.25" Nano One? Did Mr. Goode publish the surface area numbers for the 66.75" Nano One yet?
  18. Does anyone know the name of the product used on the underside of most binding plates? I am referring to the thin rubber pad that is between the binding plate and the ski. It is probably some product made by 3M. Thanks.
  19. @Horton. Can you reveal the brand name of the raw carbon fiber used in the Nano One?
  20. I mate the 250 to the 400 on the plate. Then I peel off the backing and carefully place the plate onto the ski.
  21. I will be arriving in West Palm on Thursday and ski in M4 slalom on Saturday.
  22. I don't want inserts. Can I order without them.
  23. What are the fin settings on the Mid Mid/Nano 1?
  24. I think a pre-release is potentially more hazardous than a non-release. I use 2 strips of 400 and 2 strips of 250 on the plate, and 4 strips of 250 on the ski. The believe system is flawed, however I am comfortable using it. I usually do not take hard falls and I let go of the handle if I anticipate an uncontrolled crash.
