  1. @mcskier41 don’t let one persons opinion (mine) about size push you away! The new Senate might fit your skiing style better. Don’t know till you try! I am thinking about demoing a 65.
  2. @Deanoski not sure its a weight issue as much of a height issue. I weigh 185 and 5'9" tall. A few things to consider. A. I skied past my practice average by 2 buoys getting 5@35 skiing 2" inside 6 ball first and only set so far. (will post video) B. I want to slow the boat down to 32mph and see how far I can get. C. Initial thoughts, The offside turn grabbed a ton of angle which would be awesome if I was ready for it. I need more time on the ski. D. I can see me running more buoys with less effort especially if there was a 66 and or more time to adjust to the ski. The ski turns amazing on both sides, and holds angle really well. E. Ski doesn't feel insanely different than the Vapor. Stay tuned as I get more time on this ski.
  3. thanks @Jordan. I need more time on the ski before giving feedback. Initially ski feels amazing! 67 might be a bit big for me.
  4. We bought a 14 Prostar from @Jody_Seal at Florida inboards and everything turned out great! I paid a driver to tow it about halfway because I didn't have the time to drive from Utah to Florida and back. Plus shipping from Fl to Ut was a bit steep. Instead we met the driver with the boat in Nebraska. Like I said everything worked out great and I would do it again.
  5. @Andre it all depends on how much rudder torque you want on your boat if any at all. Hell most walleys will never touch the rudder. If your pulling short line slalom skiers you want that load in order to give the best ride possible with the least amount of driver input. prop change, rudder grind, check all the steering linkage, add weight to passenger side, map courses, install amp and sub and go skiing! Thanks for all the input everyone.
  6. @Horton when you get a minute would you mind telling what you used for weight under the seat and bow and approx. how much in both areas. In my 14 we used passenger side weight if no observer was present but never added weight into the bow.
  7. Thanks @scotchipman @tru-jack and the rest of you guys for taking the time! I will pass this information along to my friend.
  8. @Than_Bogan when was the last time you changed your spark plugs, wires cap and rotor?
  9. Lets say you have a brand new 2019 Prostar set to arrive in a few weeks and your thinking about getting this new whip dialed in. 1) Did you have to grind your rudder to get positive pressure on the steering wheel? 2) If you answered yes to question number one What was the process and how many times did you grind and test until you were happy with it? Just asking for a friend. Thanks
  10. I remember seeing similar pitting on the rudder of my 06 response. 800hrs didn’t think much of it.
  11. Which spots are you talking about? The larger discolored ones close to the hub or the small ones in the middle of the blades?
  12. Congrats! Great skiing! Absolutely loving the 2018 Radar Vapor! Super stoked to ride the 19!
  13. @brooks @Chris Rossi we would love to hear some of the performances changes acquired using the new materials found in the 2019? As always thanks for building and designing kick butt products!
  14. @WBLskier this is great news! I run radar boots and ski. I will only go two seasons on the same front boot then upgrade to a new one. The rear boot is not as critical. Both Lateral, forward and rear flex of your front boot is critical in relationship to ski feedback. My guess is your old boot had lost the ability to translate a lot of the pressures you were trying to apply to the ski to make it work for you. Not to mention the new boots work way better and seem to be stiffer than previous models. Keep us posted on your progress. Great skiing!
  15. Step 1. Spray boat with Ducky water spot remover never letting it dry (don't get to far ahead of yourself). Doesn't take much product. Step 2. Wipe with a wet rag. This is where you need to put some elbow into it. Step 3. Immediately follow wet wipe with a lightly damp rag. Make sure you ring out as needed. Never use a completely dry rag on your boat or car that is how you get swirl marks. Step 4. Wax boat in the fall and mid summer more if you ski all year. Our season goes from April till October.
