  1. They guy in blue, pointing at the car: Look, its not that bad, it'll buff right out.....
  2. @Bruce_Butterfield-good tips. Thanks!
  3. My son is on a 67 D3 Evo. When we bought it two years ago he weighed about 180 pounds. He is now 210. He skis into 15 off at 36 mph. The ski is biting on his off side. I've talked with D3 and have made fin and boot adjustments but I can't seem to keep the ski from biting and breaking him at the waist. Is the ski to short based on his weight, is it a technique issue, characteristic of the ski, or a setting problem?
  4. I didn't see the nunchucks on your hanger. Were they behind the vest???
  5. @jpattigr You're 100% on the money. Especially a few days at Baldface. One of the best experiences I've ever had. Are you still skiing in Sandpoint? Do you still have the 196? Next time you come to Southern Idaho give me a shout and we'll go make some turns on the mountain. Quinn
  6. While I love the idea of a cross over boat, I just don't see how you can have a boat that skis halfway decent and you can make a good surf wave. The two things require the exact opposite in a boat. Awesome if it can be done but I must say I'm skeptical. My experience is you end up with a boat that is marginal at everything and is great at nothing.
  7. @markchilcutt How did it perform at your elevation? I have a short setup on my lake in Idaho and I wonder how the 5.7 would do. I think we're close to the same elevation as stillwater.
  8. Wow, this makes me sad to see a boat in that condition.
  9. @Andre Uh, you'd need more than a kidney. Maybe a kidney AND a left lung.
  10. From my experience, I've skied all the + settings and like them over non +. A1+ seems to be the softest. I never really feel the boat. With B2+ I never felt free of the boat and C3 + was fun if you finished your turn stacked and ready to take the load of the boat. Btw, I am a fairly smooth skier and rarely hammer the boat.
  11. @Wish The only thing I was thinking was whether or not I could fit a slalom course in that pond.
  12. @escmanaze that makes sense. I haven’t seen fractional ownership of boats in Idaho. They just partner up on farm equipment ;)
  13. So the trend in towed water sports seems to be moving from Hard=Skiing, A little less hard=wakeboarding, easier=surfing, stupid easy=tubing. At what point do people who surf and tube get tired of it? I think surfing is fun for about five minutes and then get bored with it. I hate tubing because I get the sh@t beat out of me. So at the end of the day do you have an industry that is slowly killing itself because they have moved to a sport that requires little effort to master and can create boredom? I have to wonder if there will be boat cost overload once (200k )boat owners tire of driving in circles with a tube or in a big arc with the boat listing to one side while watching someone down a beer while riding a wave. I wonder what the next wave of towed water sports will be. Then again I'm a skier so my perspective is significantly skewed.
  14. @MS I heard they were suppose to drain it!
  15. Tried A1+ I didn't notice the throttle response from ZO. It felt soft, in a good way.
  16. So I tried B3+. I weigh about 175 and try to be a smooth skier. The setting was better than B2. I will try the c settings and see how those are. One thing I noticed is ZO accelerates the boat right before it hits the 55's. I have found that I am getting more glide and have to pull out earlier than with Rev Q. I am assuming it is due to this throttle increase. Does this sound right? Do you have to adjust your gates with the Rev S?
  17. @DanE It was my first set and I figured B2 should be a good place to start.
  18. I just installed Rev S and took my first set with the new software. I don’t hammer the boat when I hookup so I have been using B3 in Rev Q. I skied B2 with Rev S and never felt like I could get free of the boat. Any suggestions on what settings might work for me.
  19. It is a black connector that seems a little out of place on the top corner near the driver. It will have a plug on the end of it that you will have to remove. It can be a little tricky to pop it off. I suggest using a small flathead screwdriver to pop up the tab to remove the end plug.
  20. @Gloersen I’ve got the ecm update procedure. I’m just not sure which harness plug goes into which existing plug, ie there are currently two pucks with two plugs, once those are disconnected I’m not sure how the new harness mates up with the existing plugs. When I disconnects the old pucks does the new single puck harness plug into all the old existing plugs? If it only goes into part of the plugs, which ones does it go into?
  21. I'm upgrading my 2012 SN 200 to a single puck with rev. S. When I received the puck and wiring harness there were no instructions. Anyone have a good source for how to install and/or can give me some instructions from your install experience? Thanks in advance.
