  1. I was skiing yesterday and was struggling to run 28 off. I felt like I couldn't slow the ski down and I was overshooting my gates. Last pass I shortened to 32 off. I put on my game face and was intent on running the pass. I pulled out, had a great turn in for the gates, set my edge, and away I went. Started my preturn after the second wake and felt the ski stop like it hit a log. Next thing I know I was somersaulting through the air at 50 mph. Made two complete flips before the water stopped me. Once I stopped I verified I still had all my bits and pieces and I could feel all of my extremities. Then I wondered WTH happened. After being picked up by the boat and retrieving my ski I noticed that my fin looked odd. On closer inspection I saw this..... Note to self, ALWAYS inspect your equipment before you ski.
  2. @Horton If that is the case, and it may very well be, I think it will be a struggle for Nautique Promo guys to competitively price their boats. Couple that with the reports coming back about the wake for the new boat not any different than the existing 200. You have to wonder if Nautique has priced themselves out of the market.
  3. I was perusing ski-it-again and saw an ad for at 2018 closed bow 200 with a 6.2 engine. The poster showed the invoice on the boat. It was about 97k. The starting price for a 2019 6.0 cb Ski Nautique is 105k. Granted the 200 had some nice upgrades that probably aren't included in the 2019 base price but there doesn't seem to be as big of a price discrepancy as I had initially thought. I have a 2012 200 with the 6.0 that invoiced for around 77k(without trailer). That was 6 years ago. Based on some quick math the price has risen about 6% per year when comparing the 2019 SN at 105K.

    Solo skiing

I thought this was going to be a review of the new Star Wars Solo movie.
  5. +1 on the bow dunk. I like to think of the bow on my 200 has a bucket that likes to be filled with water. On the plus side the carpet snaps out so even if you do get water up there its not that big of a deal. I don't notice the saddle bags taking up space. They are great to store your gear and clear up the floor.
  6. Try @scotchipman. He may have some suggestions.
  7. ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=46697 @horton-I followed the long link instructions but I can’t seem to get it to work.
  8. My son’s shoe size is a US 9 but he has wide feet. He was using my reflex binding and it was putting pressure on the sides of his foot. Anyone have suggestions on bindings for wide feet?
  9. Just rode my 67 with the new fin. I used the new May numbers on the Denali forum. It feels good. Offside is really nice, my onside needs just a little more tweeking.
  10. @Horton I see what you did with the Radar ad. Nice touch.
  11. @Nautibynature based on the color of your urine in that jar I'd say you might have some kidney problems, might want to get it checked out.
  12. The best quote; "If Steven Neveu took a dump Terry Winter would come out. That's how big Neveu is." that is comic gold right there. @MarcusBrown-how did you not piss yourself laughing as you filmed this.
  13. I struggled on two different years of Vapors. I even emailed Chris Rossi for settings(which he was very helpful with) but I could never make the skis work for me. They sure we crazy fast but my onside turn was never consistent regardless of the setting. I'm sure it was probable the Indian that was the problem and not the arrow.
  14. @shansen345 I wonder why they had to "refurbish" the boat?
  15. Looks like the Nautique website says demos started yesterday and will go through April at select FL ski sites.
  16. If you really want them to reach out to you. I suggest you remove all of the turn buoys but one. Leave your number on that one. I'm sure they'll call. :D
  17. Does anyone have confirmation on the 130K price tag? I didn't see it on the website.
  18. I've been giving this some thought. If there are two boats and one of them is a very highend boat with bleeding edge technology used in its construction this could be a boon to our industry. Think about it, how is this any different than the car industry. They make the majority of their products for sale at market price. Then they come out with a car that is double what someone might pay for it, vis-a-vis Dodge Viper, Jeep Hellcat, Ford GT. There is a small group that pay for the products but the technology used in those products filters into the mainstream cars. Anyone remember the Malibu special edition Corvette boat. Not sure who shelled out the cash for it but I bet Malibu learned somethings that made it into their production line.
  19. I am struggling with what improvements could be made to the boat that would allow the manufacturer ask for such a premium. I can see it in the Wakeboard boat market. With the automated wake systems for surfing and wakeboarding. They are generally bigger boats with more material, automated towers, stereos, etc. What could you add to a ski boat to justify that type of premium? I'm thinking a boat with no wake, auto pilot, seat massagers, drink dispenser, guaranteed hot observer.... Seriously, how good of a boat could it be to demand that price?
  20. If this boat really is 130k, and it does sell, think about the impact on the used and new boat market. All of those prices will increase. Kinda like what has happened to the 196 prices when the 200 came out.
  21. Wow, I hope those prices aren't for an actual ski boat. Otherwise they will absolutely kill their market share.
  22. @horton Have you seen an increase in manufacturers approach BOS regarding advertising? If not do you think you'll see more? This seems to be one of the few outlets left for any type of direct to consumer advertising.
  23. Temperature of my lake is....frozen. You're welcome to come skate any time.
